  1. cheers dude, good advice there. It was actually BT local business who supplied and installed the main switch, we have run out of space on it and need to install more desks and I've run out of space on the router.
  2. cheers dude - thats very kind, ill prob buy one as the new guys are starting soon. So do you think the netgear one we have is not up to the job? Spec seems to suggest it has POE, does power output vary?
  3. got it! so this would go from ethernet from switch to this plug and then into the phone? Right? Changing switch - we have a POE switch, shall I try a different POE switch? cheers F
  4. who cares whether it will live up to the old top gear benchmark, its a car show, we dont have many car shows on telly. Will we all watch it, yes! Will we stop watching it purely because the presenters are not the same, hell no!
  5. ....what are injectors?
  6. I think the switch is POE dude, looking at the spec. Phones dont have a power supply apart from what they get from the ethernet cable, which sucks.
  7. .......oh and we are defo using cat 6 - some cables are over 25m though but not 100m!
  8. cheers dude, understood. The switch we have is a netgear gs108t http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/datasheet/en/GS108Tv2.pdf "In addition, the GS108T supports IEEE 802.3af standard for Power over Ethernet (PoE). It can obtain its power from either a PoE source or from an external AC power adapter. This gives an SMB flexible" Our IT support company is suggesting we replace the entire 'main switch' but I get the impression there could be a cheaper and easier fix!
  9. Hi ALL Our main router at work where all ethernet cables plug into that go to the desks is now full and I need to put in some more desks. We have added a switch to one of the ports which then gives me more ports to send more ethernet cables to the desks, however even though this is working the cables are loosing power, our set up puts the ethernet cable into a VOIP phone and the ethernet cable also puts the actual power into the phones and then a pass through to the laptops/desktops to get the internet/data So in theory the above is working but anything coming out of the switch box has no ac power to power the phones (phones cant just be plugged in) Any workaround?
  10. is that red car the new supra or a concept car?

  12. Noooo! lol Dont put the poor fish through this and this wont work anyway, there is no such thing as letting the water 'settle'. You have to get the water cycled properly, if you can get some filter media from someone then bung this in the tank, buy some drift wood which is already in a tank and stick that in there to accelerate the cycle and bacteria build up (make sure you take the driftwood home in the some of the fishtank water and get it home pronto) , turn up the temperature on your heater as this will increase the rate the bacteria multiply. If you dont cycle property you will have lots of dead fish before the tank is fully cycled
  13. this is the most important thing you will need to know before you add any fish http://www.fishkeeping.co.uk/articles_51/fishless-cycling-article.htm
  14. cycle the tank properly mate, make sure its ready before you introduce fish, dont put a massive bio load on the tank. Google Fishless cycling F

  17. cheers dude - thats good of ya, looks really smart now I think, I might event go for the black/carbon fibre centre caps now that I can see them on the (£850!! Grrrr) , I think in reality they will be a bit brighter than the painted silver body, as alloy is always a bit more bling than painted metal!
  18. nah you dont like the colour
  19. its the render that was sent when I ordered the car at HR Owen lol - understated is the new overstated you know :-) 3.5k actually dude not too bad, its the feckin carbon fibre which is mega bucks, ive put about 50k of options on it. Below is the final spec I've gone for. Dude thank you so much! You Da Man - for that you can borrow the car on every other weekend . Any chance someone can do the front wheel too?
  20. yes but the render for the car is absolute tripe, its like a cartoon version of the car. This is a real car so it will be much clearer
  21. Can someone put the wheels shown on the pic shown for me? cheers FAR
