  1. Price Update... picked these up earlier and it’s the glass seal that fits around the screen that’s £45. The weather strip that’s visible from the outside is another £85.
  2. Just need to sort the respray out now....
  3. Just ordered one from Toyota at £285 plus a front seal at £45 and a seal for the rear screen at £75 (all inclusive of vat) which I didn’t think was too horrendous. It’ll be delivered to my local branch on Wednesday and save all the arsing around getting it down to Devon in one piece...
  4. Cheers guys, I only found the damage this morning as it was hidden by the car cover so not had a chance to ring round and get an idea of price & availability. £250 from Mr. T seems pretty reasonable, but maybe because the Supra was sold in the Uk whereas the Soarer wasn’t. (I’m just glad the tile didn’t hit the Sera that was parked right next to the Supra! #tryfindingglassforoneofthose) I’ll give Toyota a ring tomorrow and post up the latest prices for screen & seals also...
  5. The recent storms dislodged a roof tile and no prizes for guessing where it landed.... typically the supra’s only on the drive under a cover as it’s usual garage spot is being taken up while I’m doing some work on the fiat. I can’t claim on the insurance so looking to source a replacement screen myself, any ideas as to what the going rate is, or the best place to find one? I’ve seen the Whifbitz heated replacement (~£350) which doesn’t seem too bad (comparing it to when I had my Soarer one replaced a few years back... that one was an insurance job and just as well as it was nearly £900 ffs!) and I quite like the idea of a heated screen. The Supra’s a ‘96 n/a btw. The only crumb of comfort in this story is that it’s made my mind up about whether to take the glass out for its long overdue respray!
  6. If these are still available could you let me know the tyre size? Cheers
  7. Cheers for the welcomes, i'm in paignton / brixham Dodgy. Not exactly David Bailey with the pics but here's one of each...... The white one's the V8 which doesn't come out much other than to get cleaned and exercised, the black one's the 3.0 which works for a living and i'm sure you all know the last one which was taken when i saw it languishing on the side of the road on the way to Newton Abbot. The supra doesn't look too bad in the pic but the rear spoiler's pretty tatty and the lacquer is peeling quite badly on the roof and is pock-marked in a few localised areas around the body. Actually started on the spoiler today - it's salvageable rather than a must-replace unless i make a total b0ll0cks of it and end up buying one off of the classifieds lol. Cheers, D
  8. Eveneing all, thought i'd finally pop my supra.net cherry after about a year hanging around on the sidelines..... up til about a week ago i've always been a soarer guy (got a v8 and a 3.0) and to be honest only joined cos of the 3.0 expertise in the club, but guess what? on my way to work last week what should i spy but a black supra needing a few cosmetics for pretty keen money. its 'only' a 3.0 auto but it's the similar mechanics to the soarer that gave me the confidence to take the plunge. Can't really comment on the comparison so far as i've just peddled it back and shoved it straight in the garage to sort out the paint probs. i'm sure i'll need some advice somewhere along the line but not just yet. Long may it continue!! cheers, D
