  6. Hello all, I've recently moved to RAF Wittering(pe86hb) in Cambridgeshire and was wondering which garages are good in the area to take my Supra to? I think my altenator has gone. I've had the battery tested and I've done some fairly long drives that should have charged the battery but the car still fails to start first time the next day after the drive. Any help in garage recommendations and where's best to buy a altenator would be extremely helpful! Cheers, Mike
  7. Hello all, I've been asked to share the advert for my friends car. Anyone who is interested please can you text or call Phil on 07968 471592. Toyota Celica Carlos Sainz Ltd edition for restoration or spares. For sale Toyota Celica Carlos Sainz Ltd edition this is number 2745 of 5000, one of the 440 officially imported into the UK by Toyota UK during 1992/3. This is a future classic and on the Classic and Sports Car website there are good examples for sale between £10 to £12K The car had failed its MOT mainly on rust back in 2014 and was going to be worked on as a track day car. Unfortunately I have not had the time to work on the car, so would like to sell it on to someone for restoration or as a donor car for another project. I do not wish to send it to the local scrap yard where it will be lost to the performance Toyota circle, hence I am offering it here. The engine, turbo and drivetrain is all original and works, the car has been driven on private land, but will need work. It does have a stainless steel exhaust. The car has covered 160,000 miles. Please make me a sensible offer and the buyer will have to collect with a car transporter. This will be advertised on other sites. Thankyou all, Mike

  15. Hello all, I've recently had a problem at the weekend with my supra. She was over-revving and struggling to get up to speed when I was changing gears, which I can only presume the clutch has gone! I've enquired at my local garage and the parts and a days labor are going to set me a back £900. They are going to replace it with a standard one. My only concern is when I get my car up to 400hp+ will the clutch start slipping? Is it worth getting an unrated one? Cheers Mike
  16. Hello all, My apologies if this is in the wrong thread! I've recently viewed this supra; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Supra-TT-6-Speed-2000-/271514612254?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3f3788321e The overall condition of the car was nice but just a bit neglected. The current owner has only done 500miles or so in it and it's only recently come out of storage for 8 years. The car was very nice inside, The upholstery wasn't worn or ripped. The outside was ok the paint had a few scratches here and there. The engine bay seemed solid enough, no knocks or bangs also I couldn't see any oil leaks or anything of that kind. The alternator had been replaced and the seals on the turbo's have been replaced. I was just wondering what you guys thought about it? Cheers Mike
