  1. Yeah it’s had bonnet lifters fitted, stupid idea!
  2. About 3800rpm for us, Precision 6466DBB GEN2, starts making positive boost at 2000rpm.
  3. Proper brakes those, are they the BTCC brakes that Si and James run?
  4. That was our car, occasionally puffs abit of black/grey smoke on high boost at 1.8bar. No smoke, no poke and all that
  5. I’m not sure on that, I’ve seen people have a 256/264 setup. 264/264 works well and that’s what we have and is probably the most common. I don’t think it will be as simple as dropping a set of 272 cams in and away you go. Hopefully someone with a better understanding will come along shortly.
  6. Max you can go is 264 with stock springs and retainers as far as I’m aware.
  7. Looks great, come up really nice. Looks to be in good condition for the age. Always liked the startlet, especially the Glanza V!
  8. Precision 6870 1.00 A/R ASNU 1500cc Injectors 2x Walbro 485lph Are you planning on running ethanol or just pump fuel? Ethanol will defiantly help, but you’d need fuel lines, injectors, pumps that can cope with ethanol. Also I’d say go for a 4” downpipe from turbo back. It has been proven the stock intake can handle 1000bhp, but gains are to be had from an aftermarket intake.
  9. That’s a shame, sounds like you spent a lot of money on it. Any idea how the accident happened?
  10. Yeah seen it around before, was around 500-600bhp, think it could have been a Titan built autobox aswell. Whoever writes the adverts for Copart is a tool, listed as a 5spd manual.
  11. Lovely looking example, good luck with the sale!
  12. Auto suits the supra so well, now you understand why we all rave about it! Car looks great Mr Axl, very cleaver you are!
  13. That’s Jay, very clean car. Fully rebuilt from ground up by SRD. Think it’s around 1000bhp on a Precision 6870 turbo.
  14. Wow! Didn’t see this coming Greg. How did you come across it?
  15. Why would it make you feel gay?
  16. I’m not to sure, it can be annoying if you get caught in the wrong gear as it just lacks torque. Can be mapped out though as I said, some try and map it out with the stock exhaust manifold still in place which improves it a little bit, but it’s still there. Best thing to do is to change the exhaust manifold and remap it.
  17. A company called Tuning Developments offer a N/A tuning kit that removes the annoying torque dip between 3-4K RPM. It consists of an unequal length or equal length manifold, over pipe, K&N panel filter, remap. With this kit fitted you can expect anything from 200-215bhp, but you gain around 35lbft in the midrange torque which I’ve heard from other owners makes it a completely different car to drive and is the best bang for buck. Price for the kit is £1500 drive in drive out. The price also includes a before and after dyno run.
  18. There are a few things to look out for Cam cover oil leak - they used black sealer instead of a gasket. Common issue to leak! Weak chassis battery. Original was 45ah and went flat quick if not used regularly, new version is 65ah. There was a recall on these. Condensation in rear light clusters, very common issue. Mine has it! Scratches on drivers door glass, caused by the window mechanism. Rare fault but mine has it. Here is a link to the GT86 club, should take you to a thread for “what to look out for when buying a GT86/BRZ. https://www.gt86.org.uk/forums/forums/topic/5689-what-to-look-for-when-buying-a-used-gt86brz/ I can’t think of anything I don’t like, there are lots of modifications you can do. I’d like to go for more power potentially, forced induction with either a turbo or supercharger is the way to go. Up to 350hp is deemed the limit on stock intervals. But makes for a fast car when weight is circa 1250kg. I raced a N/A auto supra at Santa Pod and it’s very close, I’d say the GT86 is a touch quicker though due to less weight. It’s worth bearing in mind that from the factory Toyota/Subaru quote 200bhp, they never make that on a dyno. They range between 175-190bhp!
  19. I have a 2013 Toyota GT86 and have owned it for just over 2 years now, really great car! Not the most powerful car in the world but handles superb. It’s my daily driver aswell and fuel economy is good. What would you like to know? Hopefully I can help
  20. Scary stuff, you can’t trust anyone these days. We’re so lucky ours is locked up in a garage in a quiet location. Keep your eyes open Gary, would hate to see anything bad happen.
  21. Have you got an updated list of attendees?
  22. Fitted a strut brace dad picked up a little while ago, also cleaned the car and polished the engine bay in preparation for show season.
