  1. Do we need to bring membership cards Burna? Or is that just for people that want to buy tickets on the gate to prove they are a member?
  2. Podington is the small village where Santa pod is based, and from previous experiences of going to Santa pod quite a lot I always find if you search podington into BBC weather or MET office it will be the most reliable source. But I do still think it's to early to call yet. I do hope it changes though as rain always ruins the racing at Santa Pod. - - - Updated - - - Podington is the small village where Santa pod is based, and from previous experiences of going to Santa pod quite a lot I always find if you search podington into BBC weather or MET office it will be the most reliable source. 3. MET office get there weather report from BBC, or could be the other way around. But both are saying the exact same thing which is heavy showers currently.
  4. Where are you looking? I always find BBC weather to be accurate for "podington" and it's saying heavy rain showers. It's also looking windy aswell with gusts between 20-30mph.
  5. Same mate, it does keep changing every now and then, but showers are looking likely at the moment.
  6. I hope the weather improves, looks like showers throughout the day!
  7. It should make a big difference, 2nd gear is hard to engage in the GT86 when the gearbox is cold, it does improve when up to temp. But the heavier gearknob should eliminate that and make the gear changes feel more precise. I'll give it a good test at Suprapod hopefully!
  8. I've fallen behind on this thread somewhat, not much has changed but I have fitted a new pair of rear tyres as the Michelin primacy 3's what I had before had done 42500miles and were due for a change. I wanted something that had good dry grip but was still good in the wet because the car is used daily. After looking at a few options, in the end I settled for Yokohama Advan Sport V105's and I'm happy to say they stick like sh*t to a blanket I'm very impressed with them so far and gives me more confidence to push the car a little harder. Ive already purchased 4x cans of black Plastidip to spray the stock wheels, I was looking to buy some new wheels but unfortunately I don't have the money yet to do that, so to hide the kurb rash on the stock wheels I thought I'd spray them black. I also like the look of black wheels against a white car, a bonus is aswell if they look rubbish I can just peel the plastidip off. Last but not least, I've got some OEM rear discs and HAWK HPS pads on order from Fensport to fit when they arrive. I've also managed to pick up a Raceseng Sphereology CNC aluminium gear knob which are probably one of the best gearknobs made and are import only, it's weighs 428g so it's a hefty piece of metal. I'm hoping for these parts to arrive this week so I can fit them on my day off Friday and prep the car for Suprapod on Saturday.
  9. Send them back and get a full refund, buy some ACL or Clevite bearings.
  10. I think there will be 3-4 of us at shell garage J28. Should be a few in convoy
  11. Long range weather forecast is saying sunny intervals for the 21st. Hope it stays the same
  12. Gary Gooding who races in a team called "Team Extreme Racing" has a drag supra which he runs in a class called street eliminator which is a class purely for road legal drag cars. Gary's supra is a 3.4ltr 2JZ with a 95mm turbo, makes around 1700bhp on E85 I think, but he's yet to turn the boost up. His best time on a street radial tyre is 7.7@180mph I think, I've spoken to Gary a handful of times and he's a great genuine guy. Search team extreme racing on YouTube and you'll find a few videos
  13. Looks great Burna! Love it, would look nice in dads car
  14. From a GT86 owners perspective, I hate the front! the lights are awful. The rear looks ok, also the interior is nice. But I just can't get over the ghastly front end!
  15. Think we was planning to meet at J28 on the M25, there's a shell petrol garage which we normally meet at. Then we can all convoy up the M25 and M1 together.
  16. Good stuff mate, Bluewater is tomorrow if you fancy it?
  17. MR Bieber! How's things? Didn't know you was going? Challenge accepted....
  18. What do you mean by a proper heat shield? Why do you think a heat shield would help? You're still going to draw in hot air to the air filters. Unless they are enclosed in a box with a cold air feed? I'm struggling to understand what you are trying to get at?
  19. If I had a TT I'd just stick with the OEM air box with the cold air feed, and add something like a K&N panel filter. For performance purposes I'd have thought that will work best.
  20. Whoever asked if open face helmets are aloud I saw a picture on Facebook of a guy racing at Japshow Finale with an open face helmet so can't see why it would be a problem.
