  1. thanks for the replies guys !!
  2. Hi there, does anyone know if you can get clear indicators for the front, but for the pre face lift, ie they are just orange, no side lights? I assume the ones ive heard of are for the later style, which have the sidelight in?? cheers
  3. oh, reason is i know a mechanic at a nissan daler who showed me the Castrol catalogue, and it does say (in Castrols opinion of course) that the RS is the max protection, actually listed, under the toyota supe 2zgte, but after reding the threads, im worried ! Ive bought it, but not put it in yet, - exactly what seals are we talking about?? cheers
  4. does anyone have any opinion or reason why i should NOT use the Castrol RS 0/40 oil in my supe ? cheers
  5. please excuse my ignorance, but can someone tell me what a sticky is??
  6. I have always had jap cars, prob 50/60, and at least 6 imports. I have usually had a quick look around for other quotes, but every time A-Plan is best. These internet companies and supermarkets may look ok, but are stuffed full of clauses, conditions and high excesses. A Plan have special dept, based in Thatcham, mostly dealing with imports. In my experience, the companies they use also dont seem to bothered about mods, (but its worth letting them know anyway, to get it confirmed) Give them a try. Also I would agree, theres not not usually a huge increase for a turbo, well not proportional to the power increase !! Ive had non turbo's, and always found that even with the usual bolt on goodies, I always wished Id gone for turbo in first place!!! Anyway, as someone else said, dont give up, you wont beat the toyota for reliability, great looking, holding its value, and generally being awesome fun! good luck davep
  7. hey there, i wonder what those alloys are on the back? they look just like the ones I have which are Racing Hart (american) split rims type C........?
  8. thanks for reply guys, I assume ive just got jap spec brakes with alloys put on later, car hasnt been over here very long. Ill add this to my dashboard lights prob, and have a good look at weekend !!! Thanks again for help ! Cheers
  9. I have a noise coming from brakes, not really a squeal, more of constant squeak, even when not braking. i dont use car everyday, and did notice bit of surface rust on discs so did think thats all it was, but wont go away. Does anyone know if this is some sort of tell tale device that lets you know your pads are low, cos i used to have a celica which did that, or is it just crap in there? If I need pads, does anyone know what type of standard pads i need for a j-spec 94 TT with aftermarket 17's on Any help would be very appreciated. Cheers
  10. yeah, thanks again for explaining it so well Pete.
  11. Also, Pete, from what i read from posts, if i decide to put sul in, and see how it feels, i need to reset the ECU yeahie by removing the fuse, that is, it not just a case of putting the fuel in?
  12. cheers Nathan and Pete for the reply, like everyone i guess, I have plans for the supe, but in the meanwhile, I didnt want to do any damage (esp as i av low mileage) - thanks again for your advice. cheers guys !
  13. Hi all, I've just done a search on this topic, and spent ages reading the endless threads, which was a good read. However, Im still not sure what type of fuel is best for my standard 94 j-spec TT auto? There are not too many sul outlets near me, but if it was THAT important, i could get to one. I understand that the sul WILL probably improve performance, but that aside, what does my supe NEED,does regular ul cause probs in the long run, or is it ok ? Cheers
  14. can anyone please help ? I recently installed a Blitz boost guage and followed the instructions from tech article on board, ie using wiring to ash tray light. Now all lights on dash seem to be permanently on im and dimmer doesnt work. I read somewhere on this site that someone else had this prob. Can anyone advise me on what to do?
