You'd be lucky to see 600bhp on pump fuel and moderate boost on a 6262.

Well, the 6466 is the latest thing PTE has to offer good for 900bhp and same spool as the 6262.

Full boost 3rd gear over 4000rpm, but full boost in 2nd at 2000rpm?? Either there's something seriously wrong with the way your car/gearing is setup, or you have no idea how turbo setups work.

You have nothing to worry about. Mine does the same and so does one of my mates'. For some reason some of the Bosch pumps are just noisier than others. I was also worried about this when I first installed mine, but I had stonking fuel pressure at the fuel rail and when the car was mapped, I always had more than enough fuel. I just live with it now.

Yep, the one next to the big Asda. I saw these parked there early this morning, so it must belong to one(or two) of the residents that live above Halfords.

So what's the point in having more than 700bhp for instance, if you can't even get the power down at that?

I guess you're right, but when I look at the parts lists of some of the guys, they've had everything done, but run moderate boost as they've got stock internals. Maybe I'm just the odd one out, as I would like to extract everything out of the engine possible.

I know the Supra engine can make good power with stock block and internals, but not many people forge their engines from what I can see. Why is that? Surely you can run heaps more boost and make more power, and it can't be that expensive to do?

I've never been a fan of budget tyres. Put some proper tyres on there like AD08's or something that will actually make the car stick to the road. Unless of course you're not running a lot of power or planning to go very fast.

Quite the opposite really. The way it's been mapped is very progressive so all the power doesn't come in in one big lump. I get all the power down from 3rd gear onwards and it is really very drivable!

Fair play. Fastest 1/4 mile any Coupe has done was 11.9s. That was a long time ago with a 500bhp car, so no doubt that time might be beaten. We have arranged a day at Santa Pod where a few of the big bhp cars are going to try and and do just that.

Nah, I don't really hang out in car parks. A few of us normally just head out to the A roads or motorways.
