  1. Guys, I would like to gauge your opinions on whether or not fitting a modest small single turbo to a NA auto is a job within the capabilities of an average amateur grease monkey. I am doing as much research as I can and would really like to tackle it myself but I do have some reservations. I would like to achieve somewhere around 350hp as this would allow me to keep as many parts as standard on the car such as drive train and injectors (from what I have read). I would really like to hear what you think are the most difficult parts of a conversion and since price is always an issue on any job, what would be the essential parts list and what would be optional or desirable? Thanks
  2. Good news CJ. My wife and I have both battled cancer and won. You sound a fighter and that is what you need to be. I wish you all the very best.
  3. Rome is easy. Get the train from the airport and it will take you straight into the city centre. The best way to get around is on the open top buses. Buy a 24 hour ticket and then jump on and off as you like. Rome is quite a compact city and is easy to see all the sights. If you go to the vatican, ladies must have their shoulders covered. The best building in Rome is the Pantheon. Some of the city centre hotels are a bit basic so either accept this or be prepared to spend a bit more money. Its a great city though and we have always enjoyed it.
  4. Very very sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families. Rest in peace you brave men.
  5. Umlaut will have to go otherwise it wont end well. Either a separate tank or down the big white flusher.
  6. Being a really old git ( I had a test drive in a newly released mk3 let alone mk4's) and for many years seeing a Supra used to be a fairly common sight. Nowadays however we are a much rarer breed and it just got me thinking how many there actually are in the UK. There cant be too many UK spec cars left but how many j specs are there out there? Any guesses?
  7. Thanks guys that is really useful
  8. Could someone please clarify the difference in headlight units and the options available to replace the yellow plastic ones on my pre-facelift j-spec Supra. I would like to change them to glass. Are the facelift and pre-facelift lights a different shape? Are the bulbs different or can I modify the existing ones?
  9. Save a few quid and buy a Landrover Defender instead
  10. 3 pages in and not one approaching a sensible answer:search:
  11. Hi Guys. I know that it says that this topic has been covered millions of times, but I just cant find it so I am going to ask it anyway. Please tell me what the red button does on an auto box? Sorry if I sound like a muppet.
  12. I would change the tyre. The risk is too great. I would also send the muppet who did it the bill
  13. Since when has a croc been called cute:blink:
  14. Herb i really admire what you are doing and i certainly don't think that you're insane. I would really like to see some pictures when you get chance to post them

  16. Thanks guys. Looks like I asked for that one.
  17. Just wondering if there are any suggestions for tuning an n/a without using turbo(s) or is it just a daft idea. Is there any way that I could get a reasonable performance upgrade up to somewhere around 300bhp?
  18. I have come across this and it made me smile (and wince). Thought that I should share it http://www.fluffyduck.com.au/supraheadlights/
