  1. Ariel not going up properly. Looking for a replacement please.
  2. Hey Somewhere on a forum i'm sure I have read a post regarding MOT exhaust emmisions for a supra but I cant find it. Can someone point me to it please. I'm a bit worried that my NA/T conversion is not going to pass a test.
  3. Hi Guys This might be a bit of a stupid post and therefore I apologise beforehand if it is, but the turbo kits that xs power supply for the n/a have a 4" downpipe and midpipe. How do I connect 4" pipes to a 3" exhaust. On another note, would a T61 turbo spool quickly from low revs - or are there better options. I am not looking for huge power gains, just a bit more grunt lower down the rev range. Thanks
  4. What a munter of a car. Even the thoughts of a Juke-R wouldnt convince me to get in one.
  5. Dont even think about it. Shop him before he kills someone
  6. Sorry dumb mistake. I didnt know that all NA/T conversions run without any cat. How do I go about the MOT then. Is it a case of putting the cat(s) back in for test.
  7. Got a pair of plastic jspec units that I have just replaced. They are a bit scabby but yours for 25 plus postage if you want them.
  8. Guys As part of my plan to go NA/T in the near future could someone please tell me if fitting a BOV with a screamer pipe will result in an MOT failure for noise and/or exhaust emmisions. The sound is already great but pretty loud. Thanks
  9. Try Steve. Seems to know his stuff. Very strong on electronics. Good facilities inc Dyno http://www.upmystreet.com/findmynearest/motoring/autotech-located-in-ripley-79275B-car-engine-tuning-and-diagnostic-services.html
  10. While it can be good to be original and a little bit different - this passion wagon is in a different league all together. I hope the taste police see this one!
  11. Needs more stickers.................
  12. Our plumber who has done a lot of work for us absolutely hates them. He says that he would choose a condensing boiler every time.
  13. Hard to tell from the photo but is that damage on the front offside bumper?
  14. I did consider this for my lights but on balance they were not in good enough overall condition. If the lenses are really good then go for it, but for me glass replacements were a no-brainer and make such a massive improvement without the hassle of putting them in the oven.
  15. Not in Hampshire but greetings anyway:sly:
  16. Just spent the afternoon swapping my yellow plastic lights for a pair of beautiful shiny glass units and they have transformed the front of the car. What a pain though connecting the lead with the spade connector to the fog light. Took me ages as the cable was only just long enough
  17. While there is no doubt that computing is going increasingly mobile, I would not like to be without at least one desktop pc in the house as part of a home network. I have a large music and photo collection which is stored on a NAS device with a mirrored RAID array. This effectivly acts as a media server wirelessly sending to the rest of the network as well as over the internet. Having a robust infrastructure gives you options that can help with security and back up and while it is nice to have laptops and tablets, on their own they do not have the performance for power hungry applications. Since you already have a decent laptop, I would go for a i5 or i7 processor, loads of memory and Windows 7 (64bit) in a tower and perhaps an android tablet as well if the budget will stretch to it.
  18. Thanks everyone for that. Order to Whifbitz on its way. I think that what was confusing me is that the lenses can be split from the housing but because the shapes are different, the lights must be changed as a complete unit.
  19. I was looking at the whole headlight unit. It was the ones at Whifbitz that I was interested in. The glass ones are around 180 quid each
  20. I know this might be a bit basic - but it would really help me to know (and hopefully others also), what headlight lenses will fit in a pre-facelift jspec? I could go for straight replacements and hope that they don't go yellow too quickly and have no wiring issues or can I fit UK spec glass lenses? This is the bit that bothers me because I thought that they were a different shape, but on a previous thread someone posted that glass lenses could be used on a pre-facelift jspec. This difference in price is not that huge and I know that glass will always look better. Am I right in saying that UK lenses do not have the side light, and if so how should I adapt the wiring? I am clued up on bulbs though thanks to the thread in the FAQ section and am ready to attack them with the dremel if needed.
  21. I had a pair of these from Peter. They are great and have already earned their keep. The Supra fits the ramp without problems with full body kit and 255 tyres. You wont buy better.
