  1. That's a very nice looking exhaust. Unfortunatley a bit out of my price range at the moment. Especially with shipping overseas. Is buying the muffler seperatley an option? cheers
  2. My Supra is still in transit from Japan. It had rather minor front end damage. The bumper was damaged, left side head light was smashed, and a bit of the left fender. I saw the damage pictures and it wasn't that bad honestly. The car did require some of the chassis work which supporting the bumper and headlights, but that's about it. Anyways from the accident it seems like the bonnet fitment is off. Is it possible that it just bent a bit or something? You guys think a new bonnet will solve this issue? or can I some how get this one bent to fit? http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/3395/20120110003.jpg http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/1045/20120110002.jpg
  3. I could maybe just get a HKS Ti Carbon muffler or HKS Hi-power muffler? I could cut the reason inlet out which is smaller and have 4" pipe welded to it? the hks mufflers are pricey but I wonder if that would be my best option..
  4. Well the muffler I posted. It's a light weight stainless steel race muffler. It has 4" intake and 4" output at the tip. The body is 5.5" I think. Same dimensions as the real thing. I guess maybe I can just get the tip welded longer. As far as I know the real HKS Ti piping is stainless steal and the muffler is just titanium.
  5. Well I already have the 3" decat pipe + midpipe (with restrictor ring between them). It's for my BPU TT6 Supra. I was just looking to purchase a 3" catback but that doesn't overly excite me. Instead I want a badass 4" exhaust system. I have this mate over here in this shop which works on performance cars. He should be able to get the job done. I am here on contract in Canada by the way I do not reside in the UK. I am stuck with buying whatever I could here. I was considering boostlogic but my dream exhaust would be HKS Ti sound. So I am just looking to pick up some stainless steel 4" piping. Also I will order a light weight muffler which has a 4" connection, which can join together with the tubing. I could esentially get any muffler which is 4" out and 4" in... but they aren't that easy to find. The Burns (video posted bellow) will have a sick exhaust note though. So do you guys think making a custom exaust is really that difficult or should be pretty straight forward? To get the same dimensions as the HKS Ti it just seems like the piping needs a couple bends and few spots fabbed up and should be good to go? I was told as long as it has the same bends and dimensions I should get the sound of the HKS Ti as a result. For example in the United States a couple years ago they sold this HKS Ti replica. It was all stainless steel so it didn't cost much to make. It was just a clone of the real HKS Ti. They were selling for only $250-$500 USD. Here is a sound clip: [video=youtube;ZqTbLm7C-VE] Also here is a video with the burns muffler. This is a 3" exhaust in this video. [video=youtube;k0W_S-PiVsc]
  6. That looks amazing mate. I just ordered this bumper last night
  7. Well I have the OEM JDM bodykit. I don't like the OEM front lip on the stock bumper, looks a bit plain and boring to me. Previously I had a full top secret kit (front, sides, diffuser, mirrors, and trd spoiler)... it looked really good. I do like the OEM kit so for now I'll just change the front up and focus my money under the bonnet. I am living overseas at the moment so the whiftbitz front isn't the best option due to the shipping. I can find some cheaper replica DO-LUCK or TOP SECRET fronts which my body man will have fitted for me good. So what bumper will go well? or is there some really nice lips out there for the OEM bumpe? right now I am thinking of DO-LUCK since I like how it exposes the intercooler really well. Gives a really aggressive/mean look to the Soup.
  8. Thanks mate but I am currentley over here working on Contract in Canada so I'd rather get all the parts here in North America. I am deciding between the HKS Carbon and Blitz Nur Spec R now. Anyone know if the HKS is as loud as the Blitz? loud is the key
  9. At this point I am leaning towards the HKS Ti, I have read that the fitment on them is a bit tricky to get right though?
  10. I've already owned blitz nur spec for my old supra's and they sounded nice but I am thinking of changing it up. If I can't make my mind up I'll get just get blitz again. I am looking at these options: HKS Carbon Ti or HKS super dragger Apexi N1 EX Titanium or Apexi N1 Evo What do you guys think sounds great and has the best exhaust note for BPU? (I will go for a smaller single in the near future).
  11. thought so, just checking maybe if it was relocated or something. now I can't find where my blow off valve is. no where to be found on the intercooler piping or intercooler, also it has twin intake so the stock one was eliminated.
  12. sorry for the hella noob question but is that the wastegate or blow off valve? I have twin intake and I can't find any blow off valve on my car. I am talking about the one with the blue hose running to it http://i.imgur.com/AuXus.jpg
  13. I have 19" Enki RPF1 I pained them in gloss black. Also my Supra will be getting a new fresh paint job in my Supra's factory color Super White. I just wanted to get the kit before that. I am just thinking of getting the top secret type II front right now and leave the JDM sides.
  14. here are direct links http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/926/81079247.jpg http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/1571/10408825.jpg http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/8426/98white89kmn.jpg http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/5125/27029210150262623549636.jpg http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/1577/1311959030img1955p.jpg
  15. I now own my third Supra. First had top secret front and sides. Second Supra had top secret front, sides, diffuser, mirrors, hood... and it looked REALLY GOOD! I now own a Supra with JDM kit (side and rears) with stock front bumper. I plan to keep this one for long since I will be investing lots of time into it. Got some single turbo plans next winter. For now I am focusing on exterior and the basics. Do you guys think top secret kits still are one of the nicest for the Supra if done right? I have been considering DO-LUCK front with possibley top secret sides? I already ordered a Top Secret hood and diffuser. So I am just looking to make my mind up on the front bumper and side skirts. I also am considering keeping the JDM OEM sides and getting a TOP SECRET, DO-LUCK, or RIDOX front. really not sure and undecided. what kind of combo's do you guys like? I like this look: http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/926/81079247.jpg http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/1571/10408825.jpg http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/8426/98white89kmn.jpg http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/5125/27029210150262623549636.jpg http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/1577/1311959030img1955p.jpg
  16. Well where could I purchase a resonably priced kit excluding a turbo? If its a bit more that's fine with me. Direct bolt on seem like less of a hassle.
  17. Isn't the Whifbitz mani like 1300? donno about that.
  18. its also for a 1994 TT 6-speed still has the stock catalytic converter and fuel pump.
  19. I already have the supporting modifications such as good clutch, intercooler, exhaust, and so on. I also own a MAP ECU which I just purchased. Also I own a Precision 6265 turbo, also just purchased brand new. So now that I go those parts I need the rest of the parts for turbo kit also fuel system. I am working on a budget here which Is why I am buying part by part. My goal is about 550rwhp RELIABLE daily driveable Supra. I would also turn the boost down for like 500whp when I am just cruising around town. My goal was to get a good turbo and I could get away with the rest like lots of people seem to do. Anyone have experience with the ebay manifolds or downpipes? I have been reading that they seem to work fine for people. There is also a site godspeedproject which has a cast T4 manifold for $350 USD. I could also get the Tial or Precision wastegate suiteable for my power goals. As for the fuel system will it be okay to run a single fuel pump? and I am thinking something like 660cc injectors? I am looking to spend as least as I can but something that has been proven to work fine. Any help and insight on parts would be helpful. Cheers.
  20. I just put down a non refundable deposit on a Supra in Japan. It's a 1996 series 1 RZ TT 6-speed. 121,000 KMs. Very nice and has some nice goodies the only thing is the front end chassis needs to be be realighned to factory specs since you could tell the hood is not sitting properly. I'm sure getting the front chassis repaired properly will be cheaper than getting a SZ and swapping everything over. I am working on a couple deals with my car at the moment. Once its sold I'll have a new one on the way
  21. It seems like the swap would come out more expesive though? well I will have to see what I come up with. I have been considering getting a SZ-R 6-speed and doing the Aristo swap.
  22. 100% it was NA and swap.. and the gear ratio would be 4.03 since it was 5-speed before. My guess is that it was wrecked and then someone bought it and did the swap. It also has an automatic TT dash cluster. here is a picture of the VIN tag: http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/9789/22222cf.jpg
  23. Initially I thought I was getting a good deal. if it was a genuine RZ without that many problems then yes it would have been a pretty good deal considering it has a BIG list of quality BPU mods. but right off the bat I had to spend a lot of money on new flywheel, clutch kit, tranny/clutch parts, engine parts, radiator with fans... so after parts/labour it all adds up quick. Plus there is more. It does drive good, the driveability is smooth and nice. But it still has all of what I mentioned. I have some interested buyers and I am being upfront with them about everything. I'll see if I can sell it.
  24. Nope. I actually do not reside in the UK at the moment, I am living in Canada. I had it brought over from Japan. I guess you live and learn. I just wanted to see if it it would be just be better to sell my car and start fresh from a genuine RZ TT 6-speed. This is the 3rd Supra I have owned, and I haven't been fully satisfied with any to be honest. I want to just get one and keep it for a long time and build it up mint. I am not sure if its going to be worth fixing mine. It will be lots of money.
  25. I own a January build 1995 SZ 5-speed Supra. I purchashed the car from Japan under the impression that it was an RZ. The seller lied to me since it was just a swap. What the car has a 2JZ-GTE swap and V160 6-speed transmission. It still has the original rear differential... but the driveshaft must have been changed to make that work of course. I have no idea on the swap... the mileage and so on. Here is what still needs to be done and some of the current problems: - Need to upgrade to bigger TT brakes - Change differential to 3.26 gearing ratio - Car speedo and ODO are way off, I also assume the wiring harness is a hack job like the rest of everything else - Car has a high idle problem. When I adjust the bolt on the throttle body so it idles at 900... then it runs okay for a while but then the idles fall down to 400 sometimes and Alternator voltage is V10.5-11. - My mechanic said there may be some engine leak due to oil in the spark plugs - The transmission rear has a small leak. - Rebuit vehicle. Left quarter pannel is all bondo, front end hood fitment is bad, some noticeable frame damage since a front strut bar will not fit (its too long). - Car could use a full paint job... paint is ok but eventually will need it since it isn't the greatest. So those are my current problems. Lets say I get the mechanical issues fixed and the rest of the parts to complete TT swap... should or will the vehicle preform like a genuine TT Supra. Something about it not being genuine just makes me not confident in the car.... If I had money to blow I'm sure I would make it all perfect but that's not the case! Would it worth just to get rid of the car and start fresh with a stock non accident TT 6-speed RZ. All the problems on my car just make my heard hurt. I am not sure if its worth to invest my time into this money pit which will not leave me fully satisfied at the end. To leave me fully satisifed I would probably have to spend enough money into it which would buy me a nice new RZ alone!!
