  1. yes - full boost pre FCD at 1 > 1.1 bar > in the paint shop for week and the FCD went on today. drove for 10 mins at motorway speed and - the problem arose... this is worse than your dog dieing - at least you burry your dog and morn... help!!!!!
  2. Read this... and > I have now had 3 cases where the butterfly valve that diverts gasses between turbos has failed mechanically. Probably not a job you'd want to attack yourself, some tricky dismantling and perfectly accurate and heat shielded TIG welding required. Look down at where the turbo elbow meets the downpipe, there's a metal canister there with a small vac hose to it. It operates the valve in the elbow section via a quadrant, see if the quadrant has become detached from the rod it turns. There are ceramic parts within, and the assembly if bought new is VERY expensive > at one of the arm - the 'joint that allows movement' there's a protruding bit which perhaps should have pipe on it? oh help ... I can't even explain - look > there's no pipe!
  3. Ian C talks there Thor about a butterfly valve - that he another ! and that controls both turbo's , that your first was working and therefore this cancelled this out as a problem; perhaps it's mine! shit. Please let it be a hose.
  4. Thor - good man for coming back - no smoke and no noises -- running really well..urrr... well up to 0 bar and then flicker around there and whistles loudly like a strangled whistler. Dude I see you are on show... if you can add to help other please do m8.
  5. I would appreciate any help you all have to offer... Picked up the car today from dudersvr - superb job and I would recommend on, just superb! M23 and a needy kick down to strike a 2.7T Audi off the list and nothing! Just zip. Issue is:- Running smooth. Turbo's sound like they are spinning (pleasant whistle), gauge reads up to 0 bar during acceleration and then flickers and will not go higher, car struggles and is totally flat. No dash lights all are normal - car is normal up to 0 bar! HKS Super dump gives off nothing really when accelerated or at a stop and revved. When I first noticed I thought the auto gear box wasn't kicking down.. Green Flag idiot - had a look for loose or off'ed hose - nope... but not a clue me feels... New FCD fitted today, thanks Pete arrived - nice;) Could the FCD hold the car back like this with out causing the standard cut affect and dash light display? Please help - desperate now the kit is on to play! I do not have the tools or knowledge to play myself under the bonnet but have eyes to look and hands to feel!? What hose if any could disrupt both turbos like this? I REALLY THANK ANYONE WITH A THOUGHT

  10. What do I need to think about to upgrade from my current bhp. I have:-HKS Air, Hyper muff (first CAT in), had been running 1.1 bar and then cut / petes supplied me with a FCD which I trust dude will set at 1.2 bar for me. Apexi Boost G naturally... Matt H has supplied me with six DENSO IK24's. what next. There's more to fuelling I understand than a replacement pump, resistor pack etc - I don't pretend to understand that. Boost Controller.. and cooler... So the cost for the next stage and parts need please gents. Thank you. Mid

  15. hey that real good m8... mine is £1000 > I do it through my wife who has 7 years protected no claims at 31. At 33 with three years no claims they quote me ni on £2000. My new TD5 is just over £400 .... urrrr.....the TD5 is worth £20,000 more than the SUP? and they tend to get handpicked by thieves for Europe and the mid east! logic anyone!

They never question if I have an import or UK car either. Just claimed for a guy who hit my front end - £2000 ni on for a front bumper > no questions, no visits, just cash (tesco' are cool).

  21. THAT'S the one.... think it's in teh car, which John has aka Dude for a bit or garage - lost for ever! Was told that this was not adjustable ie 1.2 bar and cut? Would read tech detail on web link but don't do technical given that I'm only an IT Security/COMMS/ISP/Voice/CITRIX Internet fraud FSA regualted & Data protection educated consultant LOL! Of course now all I do is sit and play with the BBS! Work in verification/people tracing world now kind'a... so - if you need to find anyone let me know, in return please assit with the FCD:D lol!

REVS mag, current issue within edit not adverts - known the top Jap guy there for a while and didn't realise he was a superstar jap race driver - knows a thing or 2 about Sup's. Grasshopper near Manchester sell EBC's @£1400 I think, last quote 'ball park actually for fitting 2'.... I am toy'ing with the idea of first cat removal £100 (thanks for the offer) and the "adjustable" FCD £70. 170 squid and I will have 1.1/2 bar! The sideways daily drive issues discussed here concern me.... Is it just a big kick at 4000rpm with gradual twins working up to that or given loss of back pressure re first CAT removal is there a loss from the T2 low down.? Loss of pressure due from CAT1 is grape vine stuff and could be crap? Always willing to learne which may not mean I understand!LOL

  24. Jspec TT I have runs at 1 / 1.1 bar and fuel cut with a HKS Air and Hyper with first cat in... each engine to it's own... on a standard mild day. (new apexi gauge) Colder plugs will raise my bar to 1.1 perminant I hope with missing and I believe that's where it seems to want to cut and go / peak now.... this is why I need a programmable defencer so that I know she will not go over 1.2, to much stress for standards so i hear and hey I don't need the change of injectors, resistors and pumps that DUDRSVR has gone through right now... etc... Bleed valves are for people with brass bollo**! Cold day, gauge reads 1.3 say while your not looking, end result a thread on a the need for a new turbo or worse!!!!!!! My next buy is from TRL.
