  1. Well, I have paid the deposit on it. Hopefully, will be back soon in a Supra (totally stock 1999 Facelift TT Tiptronic). Then to tune it into a beast Thanks to Iky and Naz
  2. Excellent lads. Am indebted to you. Ed's dungeon has been prepped and hopefully cleaned of previous body fluids for your nice evening out (or in) as your reward. Thanks.
  3. Wow, sounds bad. Definitely need a good check out then.
  4. Yeah, we met, and your car was lovely. Fancy a night with Ed? I am sure it will be , ahem, very penetratingly entertaining
  5. Hi fellas, as some of you may know, my Supra was recently crashed into, and broken up. So I am on the hunt for a new Supra. I have already seen one which I intend to buy, but need to view the Supra first to make all the necessary checks. Here comes the problem: I am in London and the Supra is in Bradford. To get there and check myself, will be a 10 hour round trip, plus the fact that my son's birthday is tomorrow, and I generally can't leave London until next 2 weeks. So I will be eternally grateful (to the tune of 10 pints of beer or an exotic, unforgettable evening in Ed's dungeon ) to any forum member who knows their way very well around the Supra and who can make a thorough check for me on the said Supra. If you live thereabouts and can go there anytime between now and next week, kindly let me know. Thanks
  6. What front bumper is that? Me likey very much and if I get my new supra, will be my bumper of choic
  7. Even on near stock height, it will still scrape in some parts of London. At Marc's height, your will mostly be going around on an AA truck
  8. That location is brilliant for driving. Can we come down and have a go? Also, what song accompanied that video?
  9. Can your Mom be my mom? She sounds cool, seriously. Driving a 370z at 66? Unbelievable.
  10. Like the kit, to be honest but a bit too pricey. I always have eclectic tastes, so my mother said.
  11. Welcome mate. Post your car specs and the what problem it is having and the gurus on here will sort you out pronto. But most importantly, pictures are a must
  12. Nice, is it for sale? Interested.
  13. Bit too far for me. Would have loved to though.
  14. Do all these aluminium radiators have any effect? I thought i heard that the OEM ones are better.
  15. I will check and see what i can change to rectify this. Thanks for the heater advice Dude.
  16. The aircon rad is also relatively newish. The viscous fan is new feon toyota, as i changed it along with my water pump last year. I dont know if the aircon fan was working as i was driving, but i have seen it working some time ago. I was making some progress, as can only be done in London, start and stop each minute at traffic lights . It is baffling.
  17. I was on my way to football today with my son, and as the temperature in London was above 26°C, i put the air conditioning on. After a couple of minutes, i decided to take a look at the temperature gauge only to see it in the extreme red. I then decided to pullover and open the bonnet and steam was pouring from the expansion bottle. After allowing it to cool down, i sourced some water and filled the now empty radiator and continued on my way, this time without the aircon. What can possibly be wrong as it has never done this before even after installing the FMIC. I am BPU with a greddy 3 core fmic, a near new, never used before stock radiator and aluminium top radiator pipe. Only on putting the aircon on did this happen.
  18. Hodge, but won't it affect the stiffness of my power steering? I can barely turn the damn thing. Should i get an auto power steering rack?
  19. Aha, might explain why my power steering is so stiff, i cant turn it with one hand, even though i have bled the fluid countless times. My car is an auto, so means i have to hunt for the connector. If my steering rack is from a manual, will it still have 2 connections, eh Hodge, oh loom hiding guru?
  20. There is already a plug in the steering shaft. This one comes from the block and is part of the set of which one plugs into the back of the alternator. I think there are 5 different plugs in all coming from one cable from the engine.
  21. Haha, maybe,. Would you like to come hold it a while, Chris?
  22. Guys, please what plug is this? My car still runs fine, but stalls sometimes on idle, so was wondering whether this plug is important. I couldn't find any place to plug it into.
  23. A little background info; i had to switch engine from my former tt to a new pristine shell (thanks Matt Wilkinson). When finished, had electrical gremlins in that my dash was lit up like a Christmas tree while driving. But could not find the cause, and didn't know the exact grounding points on the car to check if it was bad earth. So one day, left the headlights on and went to play snooker. Came back and car was as dead as a doornail. Jumped it with someone's help and it couldn't not stay on under it's own power, so somehow managed to limp it home by throttling it all the way. Took the battery to get charged the next day and was told the battery was toast. So, i bought an Optima yellow top battery from ebay and put in it. But noticed that while the battery started the car, the voltage charge was slowly dropping (i have a voltage reader on my battery terminals). On a whim, i decided to have a look at my alternator, and this is what i found: Turns out that as i was trying to remove the screw holding the cable to the alternator, it was so badly fried the screw broke under the spanner What could have caused this? Was it bad earth from the battery? Or what? If so, how do i earth the battery properly? Do i earth both positive and negative terminals? All help appreciated. Am in South East London if anyone can help me have a look. I have bought a new alternator from Keron, but dont want this one screwed up also. Thanks
  24. Great work mate. Looking at your work and the effort involved just made me decide not to work on my Supra again myself. Everything you have done looks too difficult for me to even attempt. I shall stick with stock unmodified supra Well done.
