  1. Thanks for the heads up chap, it's a conversion i hope to do sometime (obviously it's an expensive thing to do), not in a rush to do it but hope to do when a bargain appears on parts. When someone breaks a TT or T manual with all the necessary parts i guess
  2. Thanks for the advice chaps, dr_jekyll have you got some pics of them? If you use slicks do you need a roll cage or anything else fitted to the car? V
  3. Haha, as long as you don't mind working on mine fella
  4. Alright gents, I was just wondering what your thoughts on the standard TT UK alloy wheels were like for handling, performance etc?? I'm hoping to get 4/5 track days in this year, do you think there good enough for here and there track use or is it worth upgrading to some better ones? If so, which do you suggest? Budget of about 1-2k, Cheers, V
  5. Hi mate, i have a 95 TT auto and am interested in converting mine to a manual. Is all the above listed all i need to do the conversion? How many miles has the gearbox done? Do i need the 6 Speed BIG Torsen LSD diff as well for the conversion or is my one fine? Sorry if this is a silly question, i am fairly new to the Supra world
  6. If it is mate I'll have it off you (that's if the price is right )
  7. Hey, I'm after a new or used fuel tank guard for my TT as mine is corroded very bad now. Toyota have quoted me a ridiculous price for one!! Does anyone know of anywhere to get one at a decent price or if anyones one's selling one? Cheers, V
  8. Cheers mate, I'm sure sometime (hopefully not to soon) I will need to change it
  9. Just an update for everyone my Central locking/Fob and security light problem following the advice this I found on here... SUBJECT: TOYOTA 5000 THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM STARTING VEHICLES WITH A FLAT BATTERY Guidance If you wish to jump start a vehicle ( or reconnect a fully charged battery ) to a vehicle which is fitted with a Toyota 5000 Theft deterrent system, the following procedure should be followed. This should prevent the remote control handsets locking out . Before disconnecting the battery 1) Turn off the siren with the master key. The siren has its own Ni-Cad Battery which will cause it to sound when the vehicle battery is disconnected Unless it is switched off. 2) Remove the DOME Fuse. This is located under the bonnet in the main junction box. 3) Disconnect and Remove the battery. When Re-connecting the battery . 1) Ensure the siren is turned off with the master key . 2) Ensure DOME Fuse is removed . 3) Refit the battery and reconnect the terminals correctly. 4) Turn on the ignition . 5) Insert the DOME Fuse. 6) Turn off the ignition The Hazard lights should now be flashing 7) Cancel the alarm using the remote control handset . The indicator lights should stop flashing . It may be necessary to hold the Black left hand button down for up to 15 seconds (15 seconds means 15 seconds or longer ) – until the car Locks or Unlocks itself 8) You should now be able to start the engine. N.B. Remember to turn on the siren with the master key. (Note : if the system should not respond to the remote controls check for re-synchronisation . If this is not successful, the following procedure must be followed: With the positive terminal of the battery connected and the negative terminal disconnected . 1) Turn Ignition on 2) Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery 3) Turn the ignition off 4) Press the left hand black button of the remote controll for 15 seconds To re synchronise. The other remote if availible may also require re synchronisation. Happy days Although my traction control button and spoiler down button don't want to work very often?? Also the Auto box Letters at the bottom of the lever don't like to light up very often either?? Dodgy connection I'm guessing?? Anyone else had these problems?
  10. Sorry for the late reply lads, can you get emails sent to you when someone reply's to a post? Cool i'd be up for a meet in the new year, hopefully have my bpu and upgraded pads fitted in time
  11. Thanks guys, after using the car a few times with the heaters on I've got no where so I'm thinking a new control module is the way forward. Does anyone know if its one of these two in the picture? Keron I will give you a buzz tomorrow for a new one mate (hoping you have one left )
  12. Thanks mate, will check it out and get a new one ordered
  13. Hey guys, sorry if this has been asked before but couldn't find an answer anywhere. Basically my cars central locking won't work, my fob works fine with the red light coming on (I have check with both fobs) so I'm having to unlock the doors manually with the key at the moment. The red security light located at the top right of the dash always stays on?? Also the engine will start and run fine. Has this happened to anyone else before? Hoping someone can help me out here....? Velociraptor
  14. Im in Oswestry boys, do you know when the next meet is?

  16. Hey everyone, I recently joined the site so thought i would update some photos of my TT auto. I have bought the car for short journeys but mainly because I live about 30mins away form Oulton park and aim to do 4-5 track days a year in it. My car is totally standard at the moment but having spoken to the main man Chris Wilson who is not not to far away he is sorting me out with the BPU kit and break pad upgrades, a nice little christmas prersent to myself . I have opted for the Tanabe medallion touring exhaust purely because it's rated under 93db and retains performance, ideal for track days . Once all this is fitted the next step will be to change the suspension to a more race track set up and then maybe but unlikely go single. I would also consider converting to a manual gear box? Whats everyones thoughts on the auto TT used on track and would it be worth changing to a manual?? Looking forward to your thoughts Velociraptor!
