  1. Doesn't get better than this! Well maybe a narrower plate.
  2. Stock bumper isn't as pointy at the front, plate fits nicely above the radiator intake for a clean look.
  3. Fit a stock bumper and small plate, job done!
  4. I certainly do, one of the good things about owning a rare car. Was the same in New Zealand when I had an S2000 or was driving the mrs' old mx5, almost always recipricated
  5. I got a good car from them, although that is testiment to the previous owner rather than PB who fortunately didn't have it long enough to play around with it. When testing the buy back promise they said no on the basis of having 4 UK spec in stock, one of which is being tidied up! Poor car! Shame I had to dance with the devil to get the right car. If a wanted thread on here doesn't get what you want and they have it I wouldn't discount their stock, just go through the history with a fine tooth comb, get full independant inspection done and if no alarm bells offer bottom dollar as their reputation is in tatters! In no way read this as an endorsement! I wouldn't give them the time of day let alone trade with them again!
  6. Certainly do, previous owner is also a member on here and as far as he is aware he sold it to Paul Brown cars.
  7. Welcome to the club, from a fellow UK TT6 owning auditor!
  8. I got a good Supra out of the deal, wasn't happy with service (don't need me to repeat same stories already told) but tried to give them the benefit of the doubt as may need to sell the car in future and they understand that UK TT6's are appreciating assets! Final straw was when I met the previous owner of the car (very nice guy fortunately) and he asked if I rec'd the replacement UK spec headunit, cd changer and wire to connect it to the boot to replace the broken cd player. Answer was of course no so 11 months into my 1 year warranty period I quizzed PB on this and suprise suprise said cd equipment is nowhere to be seen and got spun a load of bollocks and at a push they may of butchered a car currently in stock (non are actually compatible as I dont currently have the autochanger in the boot) but would require my broken item in exchange, I imagine to sell on in another immaculate example knowing the cd player is broken. Having given up on it getting fixed under warranty I decided to then test their buy back policy (only reason not voiced my dismay with the service) on any stock they sell as there is a good chance I'll be working overseas for decent lenght of time, guess what wouldn't take it! Very poor service and speaking to prior owner uncovered some other untruths offered by the salesman at Paul Brown Cars.
  9. Bit crude but screenshot of my bank statement attached, if it works!
  10. I bought a car from Paul Brown Cars last year, paid by debit card only for Bargain Cars Direct, High Wycombe, GB to appear on my bank statement! Anybody heard of this outfit?!!!!
  11. This along with the fog light switch is to the right of key slot on UK spec cars
  12. Graham, very useful thread. Just wondering what this means for UK spec cars? Never even attempted to use the headlight washers so hope they work come MOT time but I'm not sure if the lights have auto height correctors fitted, would you know if they were fitted from the factory?
  13. I think it's worth having a good dig through the history and getting a proper inspection done on it at this price if it's the exact model you're after, then you'll know if anything needs doing. If it needs loads of work the extra 3k needed to get a decent lower mileage UK spec might seem worthwhile. Problem is they're all of an age where you need to be realistic about maintenance costs to keep them in good order, I allow 2-3k per year (don't tell the Mrs!) for upkeep of my UK spec and it has half the miles of this one, on the upside the insurance is dirt cheap compared to an import.
  14. There appears to be a six speed box for sale in the parts section! Had an S2000 when I lived in New Zealand where a convertible made sense, stunning motors, must be insane with 500hp. Shame the stock box can't handle the power.
  15. Back of the queue for the wheels Westy, made a cheeky request for Jurgen to split them from the car when pics first emerged!! Hope the payout works out Jack, looks a good buy with the finishing touches Jurgen has described.
  16. Nice, like what you've done with the lights and the standard bumper will be a massive improvement.
  17. I'd be going for £15k on this with an agreed valuation, It's only worth what the insurance company will agree to or what someone will pay. For this very purpose I've been keeping a record of the price all UK specs that go to market are advertised at, good standard UK TT6's are advertised at £14-17k whether this full amount is achieved on overseas sales I wouldn't know but I had to part with £14k (well less the good deal I got for part-exing a knackered 13 year old jag) to secure my UK TT6 back in October. I don't think it's just the registration issue in Europe which contributes to the value of the UK cars over the imports, there is also the matter of the running costs, as I plan to keep the car long term it will pay for itself in what I save on insurance premiums, my cheapest quote for a jap import was £1,500 yet I pay just £650 for the UK car. No harm in aiming high, just means the premiums may be a little more if someones willing to provide the cover.
  18. The 3 spoke wheel is the non-airbag pre facelift wheel, UK specs have airbag 4 spoke wheel which also then went into the facelift models.
  19. Nor do I but used the paypal function for my membership, you can pay as a guest with a debit/credit card without having to sign in.
  20. Certainly not, it's also my first meet. Will be rocking up a bit later though, around 1.30 -2pm as I bribed the mrs with a nice lunch. Is there going to be ample parking to get everyone in round the back?
  21. Very generous offer your making here Greg, would be rude not to take you up on it. Not played for years but planning to get back into it in spring, work will be busy through to June for me so keen sometime after then, hopefully that will give me some time to practice and realistically look at breaking a 100 as well! Oh yeh and I'm a big fan of the 19th, would be happy to put my card behind the bar. Lewis
  22. No think he must of been right about it being UK spec, said it had cream leather interior with stock wheels. Nice looking motor you have though, are you taking it along to the London Motor Museum meet?

    Hello All.

Welcome, nice RS. dan294 is spot on with the fuel tanks, normal motorway driving can see nearly 500 miles to my 80 litre tank on the UK spec, cruising above 80, spirited driving on country roads and town driving could easily half this. If you do happen to come across a UK spec TT6 by any chance don't be put of by the price premium, the insurance savings over the import will pay it back easily if you plan to keep it for any length of time, just make sure you hold out for one in good condition.
  24. Got back to the UK earlier this year after being in NZ for 3 1/2 years. Fantastic place to visit. Auckland is very nice but expensive these days, definitely check it out but if your travelling best to get out into the sticks, especially if it's over summer. Be sure to get yourself a car if spending any time there, Supra would be ideal for the roads but a Toyota Camry might be more realistic! North Island Must do's: - Bay of Islands; get out on the water it's magic up there, quad bikes at ahipara is also worth a visit. Avoid in your face tourist packages though, much cheaper to do stuff by yourself or with other backpackers you meet and you cover ground a lot quicker in a car than on a bus. Plenty of work up there through the season as well. - Corromandel for great breaches. A good first stop out of Auckland on trip south, visit cathedral cove/hot water beach. - Taupo and Rotorua are great destinations with loads to do in the centre of the north Island, definitely worth a few days in this area. If you have the time and not in a rush then stop off at Tuaranga and the mount on the way through from the corromandel. - Tongariro Crossing; 17-18km walk over an active volcano, stunning if the weathers good. - Wellington; check out the capital before getting on the ferry to the South Island, North Island is good but it's all about the South when your travelling. South Island: - Abel Tasman if you like Kayaking, if not then get working your way down the Island, so much to see and do and if you like wine stop at as many vineyards as you can! - Hamner Springs is very nice and Arthurs Pass has a great trek that rivals the Tongariro crossing if your into the outdoors stuff. - West Coast for scenery and glaciers, fiords etc. - Then the fun begins, Queenstown, Wanaka, Arrowtown; hard to beat this area and is another good place to do a bit of work, got it all scenery, nightlife, vineyards, outdoor action (walking, mountain biking, stunning driving roads etc) and the best of the extreme sports, the original bungy and the highest bungy are here plus countless other ways to get a thrill. England rugby team seemed to prefer partying here rather than playing rugby when over for the world cup! - If your into road trips check out Fiordland then head up east coast, divert off to check out Akoroa before hitting Christchurch. I'd recommend using the BBH network of backpackers as well, outside of Auckland and Wellington they're much friendlier and good value. Let us know if you have any questions when making your plans.
  25. Spotted by a friend at about 8pm yesterday, he thought it might be mine as it was standard condition with a private reg beginning A-- something. Good to know there's another one in the area, does it belong to anyone on here?
