  1. In the UK, we have some strict laws concerning lotteries and raffles, as per the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976 and the National Lottery Act 1993. Large raffles are considered a form of gambling and therefore require a licence. There are three kinds of legal raffles. Small Raffle: If all your proceeds will go to charity and you intend to sell tickets only during the course of the event, a Small Raffle will suit your needs. Charge no more than one pound per ticket. You can give away any donated prizes, but may not have cash awards or spend over 250 pounds on prizes. You do not need a licence for this type of raffle. Private Raffle: If tickets will be offered only to a defined group, such as members of a club or employees of the same organisation, and the raffle will not be advertised or available outside this group, a Private Raffle will be appropriate. In this case, you will also not need a licence. Charity Raffle: If you want to sell raffle tickets amongst the general populace over a period of days, you will have to declare a Charity Raffle. Charge no more than 2 pounds per ticket and keep strict financial records. YOU MUST OBTAIN A LICENCE FROM THE GAMING BOARD OR LOCAL AUTHORITY FOR THIS! An alternative way to sell raffle tickets without a licence is to hold a Prize Competition. Rather than determining the winner by drawing, you will ask a quiz question and reward prizes to those who answer correctly. Since the Prize Competition is based on skill rather than luck, it is not a matter for the Gaming Board.
  2. Name and shame! We won't tolerate fools on this site.. We will make them eat their wheel nuts without salt..
  3. It's not a war like any other. How do you fight against an enemy that looks like every other citizen and that doesn't fight like a man but the cowards plant bombs. It's not a war anymore. These mother fckrs are picking of our boys with their bombs and don't care if they kill their own woman and children. Just bring them back. Stop spending billions on foreign countries if you can't even look after these poor soldiers that are missing limbs due to IEDs. It's madness.
  4. I definitely won’t drive it anywhere until you are sure it's not the big end. Rather be safe than sorry bud, you don’t want to cause more damage.. Let the garage do their analysis first.
  5. If you’re a hard worker then you will receive recognition i.e. a pay rise.. wonder why you have not received one yet?
  6. I got the crank of a member for £80.. It doesn't matter if it's an NA or TT, their cranks are the same. The parts itself aren't to expensive but you unfortunately will have to pull the motor which will take about 10 hours of labour... I had a choice of getting a second hand TT motor or to rebuild mine. I went for rebuild so now atleast I know the motor is good.. The problem I saw with getting a second hand motor is that you dont know the condition and it could fail in a month or a year, who knows.. Good luck with your motor mate.. I hope it's something simple.
  7. There was also a knocking noise from the motor..
  8. Well I had mine done two months ago and this is what it cost me.
