  1. This is too much, IIRC they should be nearer £150 each.
  2. This happened to me aswell, the arms were only £178+vat from Toyota though, not £285. Can you get your car to someone who deals with Supra's on a more frequent basis and doesn't charge £70-£80 plus vat an hour labour.
  3. Thats alot better, i need reminding every now and then:D
  4. Was this whilst the car was in its current state. Im picturing your mate changing gear in a non running stationary supe covered in dust in the back of a garage. Minimal damage i guess. Sorry Rosie, difficult to picture your P+J any other way at the moment.
  5. Its not meant to sound that way, POD was just very bad last time at organizing anything.
  6. IMO, own sections for the extra catagories. Some of the detailing and product stuff can sometimes get lost between technical, general and even chit chat. Didn't realise than non-members couldn't see the areas that only members can go into. As Pulse said, let them see whats available to members. Id put Product reviews for members only and the Detailing section so anyone can view.
  7. bugger, ive already spent it on fruit juice and A-team dvd's.

    Slow Supra

I had this once. The 2nd turbo started coming on line at around 4.5k rather than 4k. Then after a while not at all. Turned out to be a completely split rubber hose above the turbo area. Im guessing it was able to hold boost for a bit while the split was very small, but lost it completely as it got bigger. Just a thought and i could be very wrong but check your hoses anyway.
  9. I got a quote today from Liverpool victoria, not sure about their under 25 policy but the quote was amazing. Currently, f/comp all mods declared. sp30(5points), £700 excess, garaged parking, cat 1 alarm, mandatory tracker required, 32yrs/5 yrs NCB...... £895+£99 for tracker per year. Liv Vic. Didn't care about mods so long as the engine size hadn't changed (good for those of you thinking of big singles). Didn't care about SP30, excess down to £400, tracker not required anymore, not worried whether garaged overnight.......................................................£602per year
  10. LOL....here comes the cavalry
  11. Hang on a moment im getting dragged onto the J spec side here. The anti Uk quotes book is merely a small scrap of paper, almost invisible to the naked eye!!!
  12. Hehe...he's just getting his book of anti UK spec quotes as we speak
  13. Lol, looking forward to this.....
  14. So which of the gladiator birds worked in Nortons?
  15. Not yet, honestly. Although i will do soon, just to see if its as bad as they tell me.
  16. Paul, did you ever sample the delights of "The Palais"???
  17. Welcome to the board Deano, Yep, have to agree with you on this point:D
  18. Can't the bodyshop do you a custom rear spoiler, they seem a pretty efficient outfit;) , failing that "Millen"
  19. Gordon, if thats current book price that sucks.
  20. Not sure how much vehicle value effects the premium with some insuruers. Last year Tesco only asked me whether the car was valued over £30k, it was the same premium no matter what value if under that. Did make me think that they would just take a book value in the event of a claim though.
  21. OK i guess, temporary boost problem means i can only run 0.8bar at the moment. Car managed 378bhp at fly and 310 at the wheels (18%). Torque was 360lbs, air/fuel was spot on. Looking forward to running at 1.4 again, Chris at G-force seemed to think 20bhp for each 0.1bar extra. A bit optomistic maybe, but when sorted should be back to 450ish.
  22. Orange Leon gets my vote too, theres bound to be some bonnet up action and Leons got that department sorted.
  23. That works out at 18% which is exactly the same figure i got off the dyno today at G-Force. it was read at the wheels not the hubs though
