  1. This gives you an idea - i havnt seen the car since it was sent to leon - if the insurance company do the job right - it will be better. If not probably slightly worse. In fairness the paint is the least of the worries IMO - the mechanics are very sound.
  2. Ive only got a short time to do this so im looking for a quick sale before i return to the states. At the moment the car is at JPS. Its a 1994 Mkiv twin turbo in red 6spd circa 102000 miles Mods HKS parts Forged pistons 2.0mm metal head gasket 256/264 cams stage 1 turbos vein pressure controller boost controller turbo timers S type intercooler Super dragger exhaust (no cats) HKS lowered springs Twin Power delivery Induction system Blow off valve Race logic traction control BBS RX alloys Veilside nose cone Veilside side skirts Roof scoop Standard spoiler Car was dynod at 374bhp at 0.8 bar While i was in the states the car was broken into. The rear and passenger window have been replaced so thats fine - but the small scratch they made on the passenger rear side is still there and theres some paint missing off the rear bumper. Other things to add - the nose cone could do with a respray from a few stonechips. Hopefully the insurance company will sort these out - theyve only had a year lol if they do the price will be higher and if not it would be a good buy (and still cheap) for someone to do themselves or get someone to do. All tyres have plenty of tread, leon pretty much knows the car inside and out and can vouch for all the work done - ive got loads of paperwork in storage too. If im missing any mods ill add them on - memories not what it was Just putting the feelers out. Feel free to ask questions Anyone explain how to put pics up??????
  3. Got back from a routine service and found a huge scuff of paint missing from mine, sneaky gits had parked it nose in so i didnt notice till i got home and went round the front end. Of course they denied it all and said i must have got it on the way home. Yeah right!!!
  4. As a US resident (former UK), i cant see why they moan about fuel either, a good supra is 25k sterling though, so we moan about that instead.
  5. Nice to put a few more faces to names, and a pretty good turn out. Car was looking spot on kev, well done mate. Judging by all the pictures the crowds were taking id say they thought so too:thumbs: See you all at Bolney.
  6. Ok Chris, so ill be looking at a new starter motor soon then, lol. Will this just go without warning or will it slowly get worse?
  7. Ive just had this very thing happen. Few clicks initially then after a while it would fire up. Battery died without warning so i replaced it with a new one, however it did continue to start badly even with the new battery. If after changing the battery you have the same thing, check the lead to the starter motor. Leon found this to be fractionally loose, and after tightening, all back to normal. My only ever cheap fix, lol

    my stunnah!

Ok, just found this which is a quote from the "headlight spraying" article by Branners. Removing them to replace with new rings doesnt seem possible.

    my stunnah!

Are you referring to the little chrome rings around each light inside the headlanp? Dont quote me on this, but im sure i read somewhere that the rings are not removable, which is why when people spray the inside of the light they have to tape the rings up to avoid overspray. Maybe someone will be able to confirm this?

Looks like a nice car Carlos, hope you enjoy it!!! BTW your front light glass is coming a little unsealed round the edge by the looks of things. Quite easy to pull apart and reseal, thought id mention it. As scooter said, little clean up and a spot of touch up on the rust just to keep covered. Hardly seems worth and major spray work for that teeny area.
  11. Ive got exactly the same problem Tony, im getting it looked at on Monday and if anything different turns up ill post. Problem is that because its intermittent, it never happens near garages, only when im on my own:mad:
  12. I was under the impression its made from aluminium, could be wrong though

    Rear squeek

It wasn't actually john, for two weeks after the change everything was fine, what do you think it is?

    Rear squeek

The chassis ear was the next test to do on the list. I was hoping to have the parts ready so i could just put them on if anyone had experienced a similar problem. Oh well Thanks anyway guys
  16. I know these noises are almost impossible to detect but this one comes only when you do certain things. Under 50mph if i let my foot off the accelarator the rear nearside wheel area squeeks. If i reapply load the noise stops. Applying brakes can reduce the squeek abit further, and if under 20mph will usually stop completely or become more of a groaning noise. The nosie seems related to wheel travel and can be eliminated by keeping the accelarator down, freewheeling just makes it squeek. Handbrake shoes have been checked, pads are new. Anyone have anything similar happen?
  17. This is where Mcanny is better off with a UK spec. Liverpool and Victoria will insure him as its a UK and luckily will ignore all mods except increasing displacement, whether it be cams, FMIC etc etc. My last quote was £602 f/comp on stage 3's and was advised by them that going single wouldn't effect that price:)
  18. Good luck with the business, looking forward to seeing the new gear:)
