  3. hard to prove the person that scrapped them stole them so will more than likely get a caution for handling stolen goods and you loose out, always the way mate. should have not even notified the police and dealt with it yourself im sure some guys in your area would have helped sorry to hear about that tho mate but police are useless,
  4. i couldnt fault my subaru i had the classic and never had any engine problems at all and it was set to 18psi but a friend of mine bought one that just had a engine rebuild with all receipts as proof and it last 8k miles his was a jspec wrx when checking the car things that are common to go are power stearing pumps and seam to have leaks happened with mine and my friends valve stem seals and indicators never turn off lol not sure if this is with all but same with both mine and my friends also at high boost when you let off you feel a jerk , which is a bug in the ecu apparently , happened with my car but not my friends heres a little more on that ecu bug because im useless at explaining ECU bug In a low gear at high boost, such as pulling on to a roundabout in 1st or overtaking in 3rd, even a tiny reduction in throttle results in a sudden jerk, far worse than you’d expect from totally releasing the throttle, and enough in some cars to cause the inertia-seatbelts to activate. You’d expect the dump valve to open and to get smooth deceleration from engine braking, but instead you have to be very gentle with the pedal. Apparently it’s better on 1997/8 cars, but still present to an extent.
  5. yeah one of the top guys when i had my golf was the guys at r tech and nick even says in one of his posts there that you carnt go wrong with jabba i take it this is the AUM engine mate? with a ko3s turbo? will put it in the ad what engine and turbo it is if your not sure it should be stamped somewhere visable, should say AUM or AGU ..... iirc it should be stamped on the left somewhere on a little panel thats flat so you can see it clearly, panel should be around an inch long and half inch thick. you mite have to remove the plastic cover im not sure lol its been a while, very quick little cars
  6. any ideas how long they take to come? membership packs thought id ask here instead of bothering anyone because its not urgent

  12. yeah mate will change it the only thing i was wondering is , maybe its not the seatbelt and an electical problem if you read my first post again you will understand what i mean. it dont work when plugged in but as soon as its unplugged and even in the same position but just not clipped in it works also when i turn the engine off the tensioner works fine and i was under the impression its the other way around
  13. its not just me then lol yeah drivers side only for me and i have lights on dash too must be saying that its broke, as i take it if it was working right i wouldnt get the lights for the seatbelt showing?
  14. im having a problem with my driver seatbelt not retracting back. it works if you pull it hard, that bits fine. but when you pull it out and plug it in it doesnt retract back to your body. it stays loose. hard to explain but if i pull it around me and dont plug it in it retracts fine but asoon as its plugged in it doesnt its asif the switch is working backwards. also works fine when i turn the engine off when im about to plug it in just before it clicks down i hear a click in the door where the seatbelt mechanism is and as soon as this happens it dont retract it sounds bonkers i know but i hope ive explained it ok
  15. didnt know you had to turn the screen lol, all i could see was the frog but now i see the horse

  17. well far your very patient , hope he/her dont make a habbit of it
  18. always wanted one myself but thought it would cost alot more in insurance than it costs for my subaru but it is alot cheaper. always thought that 3 litre twin turbo rw would cost more because you have more chance of crashing so i just presumed it would cost alot one day i did a quote and was shocked at how cheap it was so decided to sack the scooby and buy the car i wanted always wanted one even when i was a kid (dad had one) nice little story for u lol IMO the insurance is cheap for a quick car, compared to insuring an evo or scooby or gto
