  1. but isnt the car a non-interference engine??? if so then the valve cant get bent ????
  2. If that*** If feels like you would be running out of gas when you try to take off i should say. Thats why other then the timing belt issue. I'm wondering if the spark, spark plugs, coils, coil plugs, and whatever sends the plugs there signal might be the problem, I think the peace is called the "trigger" ?? ...also it might ( just guessing here) have something to do or be the mass air flow sensor?? I know Ive rambeld a bit and that I might be stating facts about diff problems but I thought it would help get a better idea of the car 94 tt 6 spd a cpl of bpus and a bypassed vsv under the front turbo
  3. The first time both cam gears were clock wise off by 5 teeth each from the sign on the back plate...... Took the belt off got everything tdc and put new tensinor on drove it 9 miles it back fired once then died got out to look and now it looks like the intake cam gear is off by 2 teeth clock wise and the other is right on the money. The car will start pretty easy and sound norm (as your turnig it over) but once it starts the rpm just goes up and down 700 to 1300 or so , try to take off and it jolts some if the makes any sense when that happend i just parked it.... To the first reply....What would lock the cams to begin with???? In order for "someone t5urned the crank with the cams locked" what is the "bel" what is "binned" Thank you very very much guys
  4. Replaced the tensioner with brand new one and 9 miles later it jumped again.... The belt has 50 miles on it and does not look damaged at all..Also I'm having a hard time figuring out what this little spacer star looking thing thats behind the dapner is called???? Is that what sends the signal to the spark plugs??? if so does it do it via a sensor reading the teeth?? does that sensor go bad, Is there a way to check if its doing what its supposed to do before I start just replacing parts for the hell of it Been working on this car for 10 months and have drivin it a total of 2 hours. I just cant figure it out and the only ppl around that can help me want 70$ an hour. I just cant give a guy 3 or 4 hundered eveytime theres a slight problem or a new noise I havent heard before. Spent 1000$ for him to put a man boost controller on, cut out defender, and weld some pipes on the intake. The car ran great for a cpl of days and now I have a new problem with this timing, engine dying, not startinf right thing and I just cant afford to turn around and give him another 1000$ just coz he knows his shit and can fix it in 30 mins .....Meanwhile he can tell me he did this and that and I wouldnt know the diffrence. Please help....
  5. I was driving down the highway, and hit a small pothole. Nothing major very tiny. Then my check engine light came on, and so did the trac off light, and stereo not working right, speakers just doing this thumping thing. Now, I know and I will check all the plugs....but why would the check engine light come on.... could it be a the trac sensor which Im assuming there is one somewhere??? Is loose or....??? Did a search about this and another guy had it happen to him but the person the replyed said "call me and ill tell you how to fix it" so that wasnt much help. also it appears the toyota suvs have it happen to them.... 94 tt bpu Thanks in advance
  6. New here so please bare with me, tired looking it up but am going insane and blind if I keep reading. Got a man boost controller and I know that it goes between the wastgate and turbo. (front) but what about the back one? or are they interconected to where you just hook it up and the front and thats it? The pics on the net are rare and not the best. with the millon vacuum hoses that and shity pictures in the sense that I can see only one end of hoses but not where they come/start from. Also the reason I ask is that it came with another T if you will, but not the cheap plastic kind, its same stuff the controller is made out of. also my supra is making the bov sound but i havent put the bov in yet and am wondering is this normal. its also missing the factory bov.?? and yet still here the phssss If theres a leak in one of the tubes maybe??? would also love a pic of where the oil drip can conects to and oppinons on if its worth putting in with factory tts? ok ok Ill stop now:) Thanks in advance
  7. How much were the rims, if you dont mind me asking ?
  8. The hose from the top of factory waste gate connects with the hose coming from the front turbo right?
  9. Thank you very much!!!! I think the guy before me took his off and the factory one is no longer there, I think I might be able to figure it out a pic of tt stock with some bpus would be great. Thanks again.
  10. "used a spurious thread title in totally the wrong section of the forum" with all due respect I have no idea where what needs to be posted not to mention the site is not very descriptive as far as "sections of fourm" just general headings from all the tabs ive looked at. I spent 20 minutes just to find your post after I was notified tru my email!... but thank you none the less.
  11. also ive read that no bov can damage the turbos i.e no where for pressure to go when you let of the gas....
  12. But arent there a cpl of sensors that read boost? could those be the problem? and the fact that it does not have the stock bov ( caped where it used to be) and no controller??
  13. Hi new here and needing some advice, got a bov on the way but not sure wich hose goes where. I have a 94 tt stock with a cpl bpus. The car was wrecked and Ive repaird it. Engine runs/sounds good and drives good, unless I step on it. when I hit 3k the engine dies but will start right back up. A friend thinks that because its >>( missing boost controller and bov)!!! both are on their way.) Its buliding to much boost and the ecu is shutting the engine down. ????? The problem is that once they get here, Im not sure which hose goes where??? Tried to put a pic up but not sure if im doing something wrong or in norm takes awhile?? I have one hose coming from the front turbo one coming off the wastegate right in front of the front turbo one that comes off of the steel line on the outer right if your facing the engine((that 90s to the left))) And one more that is in the very right hand corner in the back of throttle body,, all though I think that one has nothing to do with the turbos or boost??? And once all this is in and I get a gauge what is a good number psi of boost to run stock tt @???? Thanks in advance Florin
