Feedback from us:
Location great, central, suits the cars more than modern hotels would. Lovely. As said above now I know, I'll try to arrive early on the day or make it a two nighter..
Rooms - it seems we were lucky then as we had a big room so for us it is great value for money with breakfast. As suggested maybe a two tiered small room and big room rate.
Breakfast was a little ropey but ok (I've stayed away quite a bit) wouldn't stop me having it again. May have been my hangover contributing though
Food probs a little earlier as it did die off quickly after everyone had eaten. The bar was a little disappointing since the main bar had nicer beers on tap. But understand its an "events bar" thus run cheaper than a main hotel bar. I can't imagine the venue would agree on us bringing our own in? The bar is the main revenue stream and subsidises cheaper room deals. So can't see that
Entertainment was fine. music would be enough. A band would be great but I fear mosty lost on people chatting rather than intently watching a band so would be a similar outcome to the DJ. Still it does need something like that. Activities more daytime would be good but the rodeo was fun to watch.
I don't think the bar was too expensive in comparison to what it could have cost. but it is offsetting the cheaper room rate at a venue like this!! So we can't have it both ways unless you after a premier inn along side a dual carriageway tagged onto a harvester..
Very well organised event pitched just right for venue/costs I think. Well done
Oh I know it's not car focused but a photo shoot opportunity would be nice perhaps with a semi pro hired to take a shot on a particularly nice spot in the grounds also. For a small fee. But good high res images for big framed pictures etc. I still have my 20th anniversary pic on show at home. With this venue it would be a shame not to
