  1. Apparently they were both thrown from the car after hitting the barriers. That sounds like a head on smash. Wonder if it was brake failure... With all those hairpins for a fair number of days.. [emoji45]
  2. Austria mountain crash: Tributes paid to dead Britons http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-33665250 Really sorry to hear this, we're all on here as we share a love of cars and driving and I find this news hits home more than normal news does, mostly because it could easily happen to any of us anytime. So.. Just a sobering reminder to be responsible and be careful. My thoughts are with their families.
  3. Off? On? Assuming off. Shame really [emoji20]
  4. Hi Ian - is this abandoned if its wet out? and remind me is it 8am Chester services?
  5. Terrible really, especially under safety car conditions. RIP JB
  6. We usually have a few drinks at betws y coed on the way Which could be shortened. But the start time is already early at chester services especially if your coming from brum.
  7. Feedback from us: Location great, central, suits the cars more than modern hotels would. Lovely. As said above now I know, I'll try to arrive early on the day or make it a two nighter.. Rooms - it seems we were lucky then as we had a big room so for us it is great value for money with breakfast. As suggested maybe a two tiered small room and big room rate. Breakfast was a little ropey but ok (I've stayed away quite a bit) wouldn't stop me having it again. May have been my hangover contributing though Food probs a little earlier as it did die off quickly after everyone had eaten. The bar was a little disappointing since the main bar had nicer beers on tap. But understand its an "events bar" thus run cheaper than a main hotel bar. I can't imagine the venue would agree on us bringing our own in? The bar is the main revenue stream and subsidises cheaper room deals. So can't see that Entertainment was fine. music would be enough. A band would be great but I fear mosty lost on people chatting rather than intently watching a band so would be a similar outcome to the DJ. Still it does need something like that. Activities more daytime would be good but the rodeo was fun to watch. I don't think the bar was too expensive in comparison to what it could have cost. but it is offsetting the cheaper room rate at a venue like this!! So we can't have it both ways unless you after a premier inn along side a dual carriageway tagged onto a harvester.. Very well organised event pitched just right for venue/costs I think. Well done Oh I know it's not car focused but a photo shoot opportunity would be nice perhaps with a semi pro hired to take a shot on a particularly nice spot in the grounds also. For a small fee. But good high res images for big framed pictures etc. I still have my 20th anniversary pic on show at home. With this venue it would be a shame not to
  8. Nice idea, just spent the week away with work with lanyards which really does help. Especially if we had avatars on them. I remember avatars much easier than peoples avatar names let alone people real names. I brought the DB15 book for a little revision!! Would be happy to pay a little extra to fund these too. Nice event and well organised for 100 people. Well done fellas m! Would enjoy coming again. Just a note - I had a sneaky rum and coke on my bar bill on checkout Sunday morning, which I didn't pay for. So if it's a mistake then that's understandable not probs but if it's a frequent sneaky freebie by someone doing the rounds it could cause Darren/Burna issues rebooking if there is a sizeable loss of bar revenue should we wish to continue using this venue.
  9. I'm about an hr into Oculus and I'm excreting bricks here!!
  10. Unless August is later on our only free date is 26th July as we are away or K is working. Sorry. Any dates late August early sep?

Gears of war song! Mazzy Star. Into dust Can someone convert the links into full video screen shots (I'm on my mobile) some links seem not to be loading
  13. Ha Ray I'm guessing Havard knows the Plaice well!!!! BOOM
  14. More than welcome Ray will explain the initiation rules to you!
  15. All good. Looking forward to whining about the burger quality! Ray
  16. Maybe if it's a small turn out we could do a bit of countryside driving as we have these late nights?
  17. Pics needed! Welcome I'm not far away so hopefully see you on the forum
  18. I'd pop onto RS246 forum and see if you can trace the car. I'd suggest condition of these can swing the price by £10k so it has to have history on suspension and carbon cleaning plus other stuff on the RS4 buyers guide. Is yours for sale? If not I wouldn't trust a swap offer especially on one of these. If your interested though you could ask where it was maintained? unit 20 and mrc are the main trusted aftermarket garages. And probs are better than audi themselves
  19. That could be a new edge to it, bringing bikes into the show with Guy Martin. (im no Biker by the way) but would open up the audience. its been tried before but cant recall the program. it might just be that never the two shall meet. ever!
  20. Hiya - thanks for the reply, the wife is having a proper moment of indecision... so I'll get back to in due course.
