    A little too wider a range to offer any ideas.. What about some preferences, Quick? Frugal? Estate? Age? Brand loyalty? - nothing american or only German etc. resale value? My brother has the bmw 3 series estate 330d which I think is one of only a handful of "normal" practical cars that are under 5sec 0-60. He came from a 5 series for this and has two kids under 6. Loves it.

    Got me looking again now, the majority are £150-180 for S--- PRA of various 2/3 digit numbers - with transfer fee, VAT and plates it's coming out at under £400 However I just found my perfect plate for £820 - so maybe your idea of £800 is about right after all

    Warning "geek" joke coming: In my line of work we have the acronym "SUSAR" which stands for: "Suspected Unexpected Serious Adverse Reaction" Which in plain speak means - that sh*t just put you in hospital! I'd love that but basically looks like I couldn't quite find SUSAN... So can't really go for that.
