  1. My Cobra 4100 is intermittently going off with 5 flashes, the manual says this is speedometer (not speed alert). What on earth is related to speedometer that would trigger a stationary car? I was wondering if it's a low battery warning but that's not even stated in the manual as a reportable outcome It was washed recently. But doors hood boot etc are only two flash alarms.. Baffled
  2. Had a practice run today on my daily. Hammerite Silver Smooth - painted
  3. Ha ha, at the moment I have plenty clearance (rolled arches on the fronts) Might try 285/35s but could be an expensive mistake [emoji848]
  4. Yep no 2015 or 2016. I read the teams wanted 2015 but FIA don't
  5. OMG this quali argument is driving me to boredom! Agree 2016 format is pants but they the disagree to revert to 2015 as its not exciting enough!! It's blindingly obvious to me that to keep all (Q3) cars fighting to the end of the quali period - they have free reign to use up as many tyres as they wish. If they think they have some lost time on a lap - let them keep going until they decide thats the best I can do... And it's not as fast as LH. Holding off competing because they don't want to compromise the race strategy is the flaw here
  6. That's a different thread discussion but appreciate your point. I had TTEs 18 for winter and it was awful on these new coilovers. Changed to 19s for summer and was lot better randomly... Anyway I'm on 19s and the 18s are packed away
  7. Looking for more rubber Currently I have 19"s 8.5j with 235/35/19 9.5j with 275/30/19 Wanting more sidewall to improve ride quality. Will be messing with coilovers setup etc but just wanted some info on tyres. Most options mess with the rolling circumference too much. I think I read 235/40 are 4% 225/40 are 2.9% but that too much of a stretch Anybody running different sizes to me on their 19s? Pics appreciated
  8. I'm out I'm afraid - dammit was looking forward to catching up with Azam
  9. Fair point guys they are offsetting risk with that piece of paper.. Unless they can call Mis-use but I can't work out what that may be. Cheers all. Feel slightly better about my annual outlay
  10. Yeah I felt pinned to be company but I think I'll look at an Independent next time - good call
  11. It does sound glamorous but it's not... I get less £100 a month "profit" as I am honest and pay the mortgage and tax on the income. Now £100 sounds ok but not when your responsible for boilers/gates/doors/Windows/roof etc... I'll stop now and get my coat
  12. We've talked about you getting into politics before I'm sure?
  13. Comments like that are diluting my rant intensity![emoji6]
  14. About 12miles but they used to quote £30 call out fee.. Didn't appear on my invoice this time
  15. At my old house I had an electric gate fitted - the house was right on a main road and parking to open the swing gates was a PITA and dangerous. The e-gate cost about £3k yeah not cheap but looked the part and will be a sale factor when the time comes... I've since got married and moved with my wife to a new house, I still have this property rented out, so I have landlord liability for this gate (I've seen a few unfortunate events where children have been killed from being trapped between the gate and the post)... so I have a responsibility to keep it maintained annually wait for it.. 45mins on site £175! What a rip off!.. Yes ok the tenant is "paying for it" but I hardly make any profit on the house and I cant wait to get rid. for various reasons the price isn't moving with the market due to the main road but that's another rant for another time.. but £175 to shut the gate down, open it, close it, spray some lube on it and have a cuppa tea. just for me to have a piece of paper to wave around. grrrr (rant over)
