  1. death to the hybrid infidels! elecy is for kettles not cars
  2. best free sat nav is navfree. post code search, can link from google searches and can download all maps, euro inc so dont need data conection. its better than my garmin. also if you plug your phone into you car stereo to use as an mp3 player at the same time it automatically lowers the music volume while it gives you your next direction then bangs it back up for you afterwards. also htc suck. you have no warranty trust me. get insurance
  3. dont think the prices will ever go back up. you can go faster for less and have newer car that will cost less to run. so thats were the young money goes plus its a generation thing aswell the people who love want these cars are typicaly from the supra/skyline/evo/scoob generation (30ish). and where all tend to be stuck with kids/morgage/recession. by the time thats sorted are backs wont let us get down to get in and out. happened to my dad by the time he could get his e type he couldnt get in and out off it lol. plus the turbo models are typically coming up on 100k miles 15 year old bodys, which means even though supras are tuff there gonna need some money and work throwing at them. (if it moves it wears out, fact) which again a newer car wont as much/not for a while. so there only worth the smile they put on your face. me id only pay 5.5k max these days for any type of turbo and it would have to be mint and fairly stockish, i LOVE add heywoods beast its perfect example off a modded/emaculate car but i cant understand why some one would buy it if that makes sense. (sorry add!) thinks the best use for them now would be as stripped out cheap track day cars
  4. i cant, got dumped on the late shift was a definately if it wernt for that
  5. that looks like my missis 20 year old tin foil micra! /(pick up new corolla sat) jesus h, and supras are tough, this must have lived near the sea side, i mend boilers round blackpool alot and there always rusted worse than they should be an and full of sand. glad we dint do a bpool lights run for a northest meet
  6. bpool illumination sound allreet by my to. my gf likes shiny thing's so should keep her quiet
  7. hopefully I can make it next week if there's one going
  8. does the mascrat have food i hate cooking? other than that am easy, if i still have a job permiting
  9. i said id get rid of mine after a year because it`s exspensive and useless, but it`s on me bucket list so had to have one. instead iv bought a house with a bigger garage to accommadate it. think il try and make it a family hierloom.
  10. livingstones and warman when i first got my soup last year and then swithced to sky this year both have well above avarage service i would say. definatly will be ringing them first from know on. the s@#t my missis is having we tesco at the min is a joke wont be goin near them again
  11. does the lemon juice have to be fresh or will cordial do?? think ill give this a bash at the week end she has been drinking a little heavyer lately. but i have just fixed the air con
  12. must admit when i first nailed my na, i did think it was slower than i thought it would be, especially low down the revs. Felt more like a 2ltr with no torque low down, but it doesnt bother me at all cuz you cant have much fun on the roads anymore anyway. best way to get a buzz is a track day on a bike that will open your eyes and alter your perception of speed. my 12 year old 600 will smoke anything with less than 450bhp and it probs isnt worth a grand. and no i cant afford/justify a turbo. and yes i wish i could. but i smile just looking at it so happy days
  13. its the garage next to g pollit`s apparently.think its just called standish body shop but dont know for sure. cant slag them off till i find out for sure. lawsuits all i need. wish they took it to pollits im m8s we daz pollit. dont want it to back there whats the point if they couldnt be arsed first time there gonna be pi@@ed second attempt. and now the missis has t boned a lexus gotta laff its the only way to beat the tears
  14. work permiting i need to show up 2 one off these and say hello. plus you can all laff at the piss take spray job the insurance body shop did. then we can all nip to standish and torch the place. (weather permiting)
  15. my dads not intersest in cars at all really, but he did own a e type jag for a while, so he not a complete twat. (it was on his bucket list just like supras are on mine) but even he said he loves the look of them. which shocked me cuz he knows f all bout cars and had never heard or seen one before
  16. this red soup is frickin awsome! iv just jizzed in my pants with no touchyness. no make up, no fake tiitys, just pure curves in all the right places
  17. well some usless twat decided to park his van in my supras arse. the insurance will probs write it off i think, i only paid £2300 for it last year. and im wondering what its worth afterwards as im tempted to buy it back and get it sorted myself. the bumpers a write of and the metal bar that runs behind it is bent to buggery, dunno if that can be swapped or not. lights and every thing looked fine. these thing must be tuff cuz it was a proper waack guy was doin 30-40mph. when i woblled out i thought there would be bits everywhere its a NA Auto in great/good condition completly stock and maintained religiously.
  18. take a long holiday/sickness.preferably when its at its busyest, while your away they struglle and realise what a godsend you are. then the day you come back hit them with youve been poched by another company with a better pay packet. pretend your not sure because you like working for them but you need the money. worked a treat for me. in excatly the same situation
  19. gotta be honest looks like a chinease 150cc bike to me. definatly not an suzy rm 125/250 thay where water cooled. and that looks air cooled. (cylinder fins and no rad) check the head stock for the chassis number if pos. early rm`s would have had "right way up forks" to. plus suzuki usually run with showa suspension if i remember correctly. google chinease 161 fjm engine does it look like that? .the chinese copys are realy starting to look very simlar to the jap stuff.
  20. as long as i find the mystery knocking noise and it passes the mot and im not working. il be up 4 it. iv even put a reminder in my phone
  21. my favorite car is my current soup. the one car that iv always wanted. (im a biker so cars dont do out for me realy) but my favorite other 3 are: 1: ancient volvo 480 bout 17 when it finaly went. (the one shaped like a door stop) bought for 200 quid. thinkin id get the 6 months mot out of it. lasted nearly 4 years. and only thing i had to fix was an alternator and some bulbs. went through 3 mot`s with nothing more than bulbs and a handbrake warning. started first time every time. was absolutyly f#@ked to look at and drive but that made it fun as hell cuz you could just drive it like you stole it. dont think i cleaned it the hole time i had it. had to drill holes in all the foot wells cuz it leaked so bad, and in winter there was more frost on the inside window that the outside so you would get high on de icer in winter. heated seat worked thank god cuz the heaters wer shite. only finaly gave up when rust got the front end. could have welded it up for 100 quid but i needed a van so scraper it went. having a car you dont have to worry about and give a dam about is awsome fun. 2: toyoat corrola 1.4 vvti t2 2002 after the worst car i ever owned (renalt clio) i was desprate for something that wouldnt break every milli second, so i went for the most reliable car ever. and it was. had some nice aloys and it dove brill. just a great all round car when i needed one. slow as hell but comfy and quiet and loads of room in the back ;-) 3: oztralian ford Falcon 4.0 estate. (think of a volvo estate on steroids) more of a super tanker than a car. 425000kilometers thats over 250000miles on the clock. and thats with the original engine! ran like new. the mechanic we sold it to when we left oz couldnt believe how mint it was. think he was gonna break it but bet he dint. got me and the missis all over oz while we lived in the back. shit load of memorys we that. thing was bout 17 years old when we had it. bet its still goin. if i win the lottery im gonna track it down and buy it back.
  22. i do alot of miles with my job in a manual van so iv done so much cog swaping, clutch mashing my knees hurt. dont think id ever buy a manual anything now. and the supra auto box is mint. just slip it in 2 for the twistys bits then d for the straights with over drive and its bang on. i would like a tiptronic just to play about with but im not upset iv not got it. my mechanic brother in law had ago an he was very impressed we the responsiveness, said it was definatly one of the best hes ever come across
  23. thanks for the recomend on livingstone warman. knocked £150 of my best quote so far. (now £650) thats a handy wedge. and they were proper nice and rang me back same day like they said they would, how often does that happen these days? (cheers penny)
