  1. thanks guys if nothing is solved within a couple days i'll check back
  2. Before I bought the car the seller has the car inspected. The Toyota mechanic in Japan said that he recommended an aftermarket ECU due to the boost issue. Really I wouldn't need that maybe just a BCC? And yes this Supra is J-spec. I get the whoosh sound only when the turbo spools. So when the turbo start to spool and let off the gas it will make the whoosh sound. The most boost the louder... althought it will spool to 0.4 bar max. I'll check everything over and let you guys know.
  3. No I haven't. I'll take thurrow look over them tomorrow.
  4. note that I just picked this car up and all modifications were done by the previous owner. Also it was not driven in 10 weeks. Maybe 2km max (for shipping purposes). has the following upgrades and more.. mishimoto radiator blitz intercooler greddy twin intake blitz nur spec catback exhaust blitz turbo timer stock cat no downpipe when accelerating full throttle it will hit 0.5 bar on the Blitz gauge and then stutter and won't go above. When it hits 0.5 bar its almost sounds like rev limiter. Turbo's just won't spool anymore. btw it has stock BOV and its pretty loud spool, is the stock BOV fairly loud? am I hitting fule cut, boost cut, or .. ? any ideas guys? ECU is stock with no BCC or nothing.
  5. the size is 76mm of this 1st cat delete pipe... the seller also claims its good for 30hp increase. Most of the full downpipes are rated at around 30hp increase as well so this is another reason I ask my question.
  6. I have already made a thread but this is based on another question, so I hope I can get some help with this. My main goal is to go near full BPU. I already have Blitz NUR SPEC R catback exhaust, Blitz midpipe, Blitz intercooler with 3" piping, Blitz TWIN INTAKE, and more... My next mod I want to focus on is the downpipe. I am having a difficult time finding a FULL JDM downpipe for a decent price so I am looking at alternatives. I found this item which is a 1st cat delete. If I get a full downpipe which deletes both cats this means I would need a 2" restrictor ring not to overboost? If I just have 1st cat delete and leave the 2nd cat in then I don't need any restrictor. So will I make the same power with 1st cat delete apposed to full cat delete with 2" restrictor? http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/3462/supra216953753569.jpg
  7. Ok I have read the BPU but still am not understanding something. I can just attached the 3" downpipe, 3" midpipe, etc... and don't even need to touch my ECU or get it tunned?
  8. I am also removing the 2nd cat with a 3" HKS midpipe, forgot to mention this. I would like to ideally be around 400bhp+ so I know this will require a full de-cat. In this case should the JDM downpipe have a flange in it so the turbo's don't overboost as they are expected to?
  9. I have a JDM RHD 1995 Supra TT 6-speed sooo the RMM downpipe will not fit? Can I just get the 2" restrictor ring? will I be better off getting the JDM downpipe then? I like the RMM one though lol.
  10. Yes I have been searching but this is kind of urgent lol. I am meeting with a guy in 2 days, he has two downpipes for sale and I will be buying one. He has a used modified 3" downpipe direct bolt on for JDM twins. or new 3" RMM downpipe for American Supra's. This one should need a 2" restrictor ring. Also it is a bit cheaper. So my question is. If I run a DP with restrictor will this be ok? or would going with the JDM downpipe be a better choice?
  11. Okay well maybe you guys can recommend the best option. I am trying to go full BPU. Right now I have 3.5" Blitz NUR spec full blitz intercooler with 3" piping, HKS SSQV attached. Twin intake I am equipted with all the gauges. Blitz turbo timer Next I will be installing a 3" downpipe, running full de-cat. I do not have a boost controller. I plan to run 16psi. Should I just get a APEXi SAFC ?
  12. so basically I need to get my ECU remapped for SAFC or piggyback? ? just recently bought a Supra and have no clue what's been done to it. thanks for the help
  13. I get asked sometimes by people if I'm running an safc or piggy back? no clue what they mean, does it have to do with running on stock ECU or...? very new to this stuff. I don't know the meaning of both lol.
  14. my original N/A W58 5-speed has a 2JZ-GTE V160 6-speed. The N/A rear end is good so I'll be leaving that. To get a full genuine feel of a RZ will I just need a new differential now? the gearing ratio is very high for the 6-speed with the one I am using now.
  15. okay so people always say they are running in Sequential mode or TTC. I know that with one mode both turbo's spool at the sametime. In another mode one turbo will spool up first followed by the 2nd?? So lets say I get my car tuned. Is there a electric control I can get to switch between Sequential and TTC? also which mode is better to run in? I am new to turbo Supra's so trying to understand this better.
