  1. I used Royal Purple oil in my TRD diff and had no complaints after 20,000 miles daily driving.
  2. The ebay listing has now been removed. I also added a few choice words to the seller. Thanks again guys.
  3. Thats my car Im selling just now!! Thanks for the heads up guys. Ill be straight on to ebay. What an absolute scumbag!!!

    traction.

I've not had the second turbo kick in since October! Too much salt on the road to get any traction. Roll on the summer!!
  5. Thanks for the info guys. I'm going to give the guy a call and get a more detailed reason for replacing them.
  6. I'd have thought the fact he freed them off doing the geo last month would mean I wouldn't need to replace them? I'm not to educated on suspension components so have no idea why they would need done. He basically just called me this morning and said I would need to get them as they were seized solid the last time. Ill need to call him back and find out the specific parts he was looking for anyway, if not all.
  7. Excellent, thanks for the quick reply. I was expecting another huge bill to be honest but thats not too bad. Ill get onto toyota today. I take it these are the same part for all mkiv supras?
  8. Just had more good news regarding my suspention setup!! After having to buy new springs for my bilsteins due to sagging at the front, Ive also been told my rear toe and camber bolts will need replaced also!! I had only just paid to get my geo done a month or so ago at a £200 cost, just to hit a dreaded pothole and screw it all up. If anyone has had to replace these I would really appreciate any input. Are these a toyota only part? Does anyone have any idea on the cost to replace these? Im trying to keep the costs from increasing too much.
  9. Thanks guys. You're definitely right. Will take a bit of thought, I'd be sad to get rid of them but if I can get a good price for them they will be going to a new home.
  10. I do like them, but don't have the spare cash to get them refurbed and keeping them hidden away in the garage is a waste.
  11. No mate. They had a 3mm shim/spacer to clear them.
  12. Thanks mate, forgot to put that in. I have UK brakes and had a 3mm spacer for the clearance.
  13. Finally made my mind up to get rid of my Rays alloys that came with the car when I bought it. I really like the wheels but have never got around to getting them refurbed like i had planned to. Problem is Im not too sure what to price them at? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Ive heard they are quite rare rims and have not seen many about for sale so cant even get an idea from other sales. They are 18" Rays Vitrix Pleasure, Front 8.5 rear 9.5 with a nice polished lip on them. I will need to get them out the garage to get the offsets but I think they are around 35 ish from memory. The centres could do with a refurb as the paint is cracking off and the lips could do with a polish up. There is only one small curb mark on one of the lips other than that there is no damage.

    O2 Sensor?

Thanks very much for tracking down the cover by the way, saved an expensive trip to Mr T!

    O2 Sensor?

Yeah that was mine. Small job that snowballed as usual! Im the same try to do as much as I can myself, getting underneath is a huge pain though! Sorry to here you've sold it. Broke my heart when I sold my last one.

    O2 Sensor?

Thanks mate. Im trying the cleaning thing first with lemon juice before I stick a new one in. Just not looking forward to trying to fing the dropped bolt tomorrow!! You down at GI Motorsport? Seen your motor there last time I was down. Nice car, always fancied a white Supe.

    O2 Sensor?

Ahhh! Im looking at the sensor itself! Not too bright, first time swapping it out. Thanks very much mate.

    O2 Sensor?

Finally got around to changing my O2 sensor and Im having a bit of a nightmare. Decided to go at it from the top which was a pain, then proceeded to drop a bolt into the engine bay, which ill need to find later! Has anybody any idea how to un clip the actual sensor from it's wiring? I've had a look and dont fancy pulling at it in case I break something (which is what will happen judging from the luck I've had today?). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  19. Excellent cheers. Didn't think about the filter. Havn't had that open in a while!!
  20. Was browsing through the threads on O2 sensors as my fuel economy has took a nose dive the last month or so. Which was surprising right after a plug change!! I'm not too keen on the idea of cleaning it with lemon juice and think I'll just replace it. Does anyone know where I would get one for a VVTI TT? Is it a visit to Toyota? Any ideas on what sort of price they run at?
  21. That's excellent, thanks very much for that. I'll have a look today. Hopefully will save me some cash. I'd have thought they would have noticed that when it was in getting the geo done?
  22. Tony TT, I was looking at tein springs. Would they be ok on the CW setup? I'm not entirely sure what the differences are to be honest?
  23. Base plates sound like the way to go for the fronts but I'd probably need to buy springs to bring the rear down though. Might be as well buying a set of four then seeing if that brings up the front? Can lowering springs for the standard setup be used on the CW shocks?
  24. The car is a 98 vvti tt so if that's the case they may not be HKS. Ill need to check the colour tomorrow.
  25. That sounds like a plan. Would that mean I could keep the current springs?
