  1. Ok just an update on the sale. I had a guy come over from france on saturday & after a good look around the car he decided to leave me a £500 non refunable deposit against the full asking price of the car He has asked for 3 weeks to pay the remainding funds which is fine with me. If for any reason the sale falls through then i will re-post letting folks know she is still for sale. Thanks everyone for the interest.
  2. Thanks everyone for the really positive comments, it is a shame i have to sell but needs must and to be honest i have had 8 fantastic years of ownership and im sure this will end up with someone who will cherish & look after her just like i have done over all these years. Also with the recent work done & regular maintance im sure this car will be bullet proof for many many years to come. So far i have only posted the advert on here as i thought it would be great to keep it in the "family" so to speak. I think i will put it up on pistonheads later this week and see what happens. Thanks again & lets hope she ends up with a good home.
  3. Here for sale is my much cherished & Very Rare Uk Spec 6 Speed Manual Twin Turbo Toyota Supra with 101700 miles on the clock & full service history, (some toyota, rest specialist) with EVERY mot & lots of paperwork. I bought the car almost 8 years ago now back in April 2003 with only 42000 miles on her and over these last 8 years she has been the most fun, quality & reliable car that I have ever had the pleasure of owning. The exterior of the car has been kept totally standard & is in pretty much mint condition. There are a few stone chips on the bonnet & a few tiny marks but thats about it. All 4 standard alloys have been fully refurbished in the last 6 months, so are in mint condition too. The tyres are ok for another few thousand miles. The interior has the usual Uk Spec cream leather seats and cream carpets & for her age the whole interior is in very good condition indeed. The back seats are still like new, and the fronts have the usual leather creases but are in very good condition. The car also still has the stock stereo fitted. All electrics work as they should and the front electric spoiler does what it should do to. The only modifications that have been done on this car are the full BPU mods & these were carried out by Chris Wilson back in July 2007 when the car had 71000 miles on her & at a cost of £4500. Before putting the car away in the garage last winter she had a full service inc spark plugs, cam belt, new front timing pulley, new flywheel & uprated clutch, front discs skimmed & a new set of high performance pads which cost me £2000 this was back in October & only very recently have I started using the car again so I have only covered about 1000 miles since this work was done. The main reason for selling her is that I'm fed up of renting and really need to get on that property ladder so as sad as it will be I really have to let her go to free up some funds. Some of you on here will know me & have seen my car at various shows & I'm sure can vouch for how well this car has been looked after & how genuine she still is. The car runs like a dream with no faults whatsoever. The car is also very quick, running a 12.7 at Santa Pod last year. Full List Of Upgrades: • Blitz Nur Spec R • Full Chris Wilson De-cats • Chris Wilson SMIC • Water Injection • Blitz Evc Id 3 Boost Controller & Fcd • Greddy Exhaust Gas Temp Gauge In Centre Air Vent • Blitz Boost Gauge & Blitz Oil Temp Gauge In A Pillar Mount • Tar-ox G88 40 Grooved Front Discs • Ebc Grooved & Dimpled Rear Discs • Braided Brake Lines All Round • B&W Complete Quick Shift Kit Due to being a uk spec if you turn the boost controller off it runs at just above stock boost levels (perfect for the wet), then on and low is 1bar and high is set to 1.2 bar The car has just been taxed so 11 months left & the mot expires in august but I will get a new one before she is sold. Private plate will be changed back to original L Registration before sale. 4. Well its been a long time since i last posted on here and its not because i have lost interest (far from it) but these last few years work just seems to rule my life:( Anyway i decided that i needed a break (and a little fun in the supra) so i decided to do a weekend at santapod last weekend with a few mates. It was run what ya brung on sat & a vw show on the sunday:hide: Anyway i decided to see what the supra could do on the strip as last time i took her up there (3 years ago) she was just a standard uk 6 speed and the best i mannaged was a 14 second dead.. So now im Uk 6 Speed BPU but running c/w smic and standard airbox otherwise normal bpu mods. Boost was running just short of 1.2bar Stock 17's with toyo proxies (NOT the slick'ish ones) Well here is my best time of the day (first run..) and YES i still have a big smile on my face.. 60ft-------2.0782 330ft------5.5755 1/8 mile----8.3812 1/8 mph----87.70 1/4 mile----12.7868 1/4mph-----111.95 Sorry for the poor pic of the timing slip (spent the weekend in my pocket) Anyway if i could be updated on the list then that would be fantastic... Hope everyone is well and looking forward to a supra suiting summer... Take care.

  6. Hi mate just noticed this.. I am really up for this but start a new job on thursday, which again means working most weekends:( So can i be a "maybe" and i will try and sweet talk the new boss sometime next week, Cheers mate...
  7. Well ive tried everything! I even called the AA out, he spent an hour fiddling around and tried various methods of reseting the alarm, removing the dome fuse ect and still nothing.. The weird thing is we mannaged to get the car started by disconnecting the battery turning the key to postion 2 then reconnecting the battery then the car will start.. but as soon as you turn off the ignition off the alarm goes off! Can anyone recomend a good alarm fitter in colchester?? Think im going to have to get a new system put in:(
  8. Stock alarm.. i only have the key fob that came with the car.. Will try playing around with it in the morning and see if i have any luck.. Cheers guys will let you know how i get on..
  9. Brave Man Only kidding mate:blink: As you can tell this sort of thing scares me... Anyway congratulations to both of you..
  10. I only left it off for about 2/3 mins.. I will disconnect it in the morning for 1/2 hour or so and see what happens.. Seems to be the most used way of reseting the alarm.. Is there anyway to properly reset the alarm system? If nothing works do you think calling out the rac might achieve anything? I almost wish i had left it not working, but i would not have got a winks sleep knowing its not alarmed.. and at least i now know, no one can pinch it! not even me lol.. Cheers again..
  11. Hi guys, ok i have a BIG problem with my alarm! Here is the story: The battery had gone flat whilst up at chris's having some work done, and when a charged battery was reconected the alarm did not work. Ie: the key fob did nothing, so i had to lock/unlock with the key. i tried the fob reset by holding button 1 down for 10 secs + but this did nothing.. Once i got back to essex i searched on here and then went to try a few things out. I took the battery terminals off then put back on a few mins later and the alarm went off, cool i thought.. untill what ever i did, it would not turn off.. I tried holding the fob, putting keys in the ignition, locking and unlocking the doors, nothing will shut the damn thing up! Then after 30 secs it turns off but the solid red light comes back on the dash, and then if i open the door or try the ignition the alarm goes off again.... Ive spent an hour trying different things, but what ever i do i cannot disarm the alarm! apart from pulling the battery... But then every time i reconnect the battery the red security light comes on, and the system is armed.. So now i have my car back, but cannot move it! or start it! Any ideas guys, Apart from taking the car to get a new alarm installed! My wallet cannot take another hit this week:( Thanks again...
  12. But Im sure its for the best, and if it keeps you happy;) I should be there between 2/3pm depending on the trains, but will call you when im on the train to crewe. Could you also dig out my service history book. Thanks again mate:friday: Maybe working the weekend but let me know when and where and ill see if i can make it:)
  13. Cheers guys, Yes seemed very strange to chris too! and me! Talk about a needle in a haystack, just my luck that is! (but to be honest this is the first real problem since i bought it almost 5 years ago!) Just really glad he persisted and found the problem.. Once again big thanks to all.. P.s Will have to catch up sometime daman..
  14. Hi everyone, Well im sure lots of you over the last 3 months have read the thread about my VERY strange misfire problem, and i know some of you were really helpful in trying to fix the problem over the net, but to no avail.. Misfire Thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=137180 But i finally gave in and took it to Chris Wilson to see if he could work his magic..... Well im over the moon, as today ive now heard the magic words ITS FIXED Im sure chris will be along at some point to add a more techincal explanition, but the problem ended up being a FAULTY KNOCK SENSOR but not faulty enough to throw up an error code.. Well as you can imagiane i am so chuffed to finally have this problem put to rest. and im sure chris will be very glad to see the back of my car! Poor chris has been under my bonnet for most of last week! surprised you didnt move in mate;) Anyway a very big thanks to Chris Wilson for fixing the problem and fitting one of his uprated clutch kits and flywheel whilst he had the car. And thanks to everyone else who helped try to get to the bottom of this problem, buy advice and even sending out parts for me to checkthings with!! Im now looking forward to the 5/6 hour journey to pick her up tomorrow:rolleyes: but at least she's back for the better weather.. Thanks again everyone...
  15. Termainals were 102-105, 60ft 2.2062 330ft 6.0433 1/8et 9.1551 1/8 mph 81.68 mph 1000ft 11.7381 Im sure if i had taken a few psi out the tyres i might have got a very high 13's But at the end of the day, were talking about a few tenths of a second, and this is more that likely down to the driver Will be intresting to see what she can do now! Im hoping for a 13sec dead, 12.8/9 and i would be over the moon..
