Hi, I'm trying to install a new head unit, so following the guides to take the facia off etc having some trouble with one connector but getting enough space to pull the old unit out. Then I see some sparks when the side of the old unit touches the gear knob, so I'm thinking its time to work out how to disconnect the battery or take out a fuse to turn the power off while i install the new one. Are there any threads with pictures of the fuse box or battery? Seriously, I've never done anything like this before, and can't seem to find a thread through searches. Any advice would be much appreciated and might avoid me getting electricuted....(wishing I paid for installation now!) Might have to give up for the night as its getting dark and get the train to work tomorrow! Cheers

You can race me mate, I've never done it before....but it will be fun even if I get the worst time and owned by everyone. There's always next year! I need some noobs to go up against!

I'm been a gunmetal grey fan for a while now, but have been thinking of a midnight blue. I'm also wondering about a bit more of an elaborate design...but will worry about this in the future. There must be lost of pictures of cars on the web to give you ideas. Best of luck with your project.

group buy Billet aluminium spark plug cover
Starbuck replied to dcarrter21's topic in Parts for Sale
Put me down for one without the supra logo then if this is still going. No hurry for it. Can the person producing these units anodise them or know anyone that can? Looking for a titanium finish. -

Can these be anodised? If so does anyone know someone that might be able to do that? -
Cool - Added to the list.

Hey guys, did you both get your stillens? I've got a group buy up at the moment if your in need. Am slso in touch with Margaret.
-
I'm looking at a group buy at the moment and for a brand new set of these it could cost around £375. Are these still for sale? Wish you had the bumper for sale too as that is ultimately what I'm going to a lot of trouble to get!

£450 is realistic end price at the moment i'm afriad. With little interest so far it could even be higher.

http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?18157-Wheels-known-to-fit-over-UK-brakes/page5 Hmm..CH that fits over UK spec brakes! This we need more info on.
-
Very very interested in this, so might another guy be in this thread. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?242871-BBS-Wheel-Fitment/page3

This has been quiet for a while. Could do with a bit more interest. For those that are interested I'll be in touch shortly to discuss moving forward if there are only low numbers. I may be willing to buy 1 or two extras to reduce the costs further.
-
What did you go with in the end Neil? I'm liking the CH's too, however from reading this thread it sounds like it might not be possible to get them with the right spec. There are CH-R's also which I think only come in a 19", I'll double check the offsets once I work out what brakes I have. Great looking wheels.

Time to buy a still.
-
I'll have to check out the costs, to get it shipped direct will cost $600 for 1 unit alone. So probably cheaper to ship to the uk then add the cost of shipping 1 unit from the uk to jersey.

Not loads yet! So if you sell yours, how much you sell for ?!
-
My gf is the same. I new she wouldn't like it before I bought it. Its too low (hard to get in), its too loud (BPU with straight through exhust, I think it make silly noise at times), its got no boot space (I said I'd take the back seats out!), its not a smooth ride (probably my driving!) She's not driving it anyway as not enough experiance and she doesn't like manuals, but I will sell my other car as she doesn't like that either and she can buy one herself to drive me around in! Luckily my gf doesn't mind me spending money on the car, as long as I can still affoard holidays and stuff, but its something I need to keep in control of myself!

Stillen have stated that this will fit all 1993 - 1998 SUPRA with a standard front Facsia. They didn't however understand the concept of a facelift model.
-
If you lived in the states they would be even cheaper. they seem to be discounted on their site at the moment by the base cost in the states would work out to £264 or something for a front bumper at current exchange rates. I actually thought the £450 was relatively high as you will need to get it painted and fitted and need all the standard hardware. Maybe I'm just tight!
-
Thanks, I'll need to confirm that with Stillen. They only seem to have one on their website.

Folks, group buy has been approved and is up in this thread. please post your interest in that thread. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?249237-Stillen-Front-Bumper-amp-Side-Skirts

As seen in other threads I've been in touch with Stillen about the costs for importing bumpers and side skirts from the states. This has now been approved for a group buy, by the mods. http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?id=STIBODY10&c=EX&year=1994&make=TOYOTA&model=SUPRA http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?223781-Stillen-front-bumper/page2 Estimated Costs Front Bumper £390 Side Skirts £300 Assumptions Based on an order of 10 units Inclusive of shipping VAT and Duty. A full breakdown will be provided to all members of the group buy prior to placing an order. Note These are indicative costs and not final. I'm going to look to try and get the base unit price and shipping costs down a little lower if possible, which will also reduce VAT and Duty. Timescales Currently unknown. This is subject to demand and also turn around time for the order and shipping, so spread the word and get people to sign up to this group buy. Process 1. Confirm number of buyers and units. 2. Finalise Costs 3. Take Payments (I understand this will go through the clubs account) 4. Place order 5. Distribute within the UK. If you are interested in any of these parts or have any questions please post here and I'll add you to the list. 1. Starbuck - Front Bumper & Side Skirts 2. Cloudder - Side skirts. 3. Stratty - Front Bumper - Subject to Shipping costs to Jersey. 4. Rajinder - Front Bumper 5. Caseys - Front Bumper

Wow that looks very clean...do you ever drive the car?

I've been thinking the same sort of thing myself about spoilers. If it’s just for looks then this is very subjective. I have bought a car with a TRD spoiler which is a bit big for me. I love the standard spoiler too, but am thinking I may go spoiler less or get an Abflug S900 spoiler/boot lip if this is possible as I've always liked that rear and have the bumper already. What I don't know much about though is performance improvements from a spoiler? (no car expert here) I thought the purpose of a spoiler was to produce down force on the car to give it more traction or something when turning at high speeds. If so how do these things perform, as they must weigh a fair few KG's I’d want some returns to justify having one. Also when do you need one? I don’t intend to do any serious racing, maybe some drag runs and a little track, but mainly just normal road driving. Looking at my TRD spoiler, I’m thinking it might be just for looks, so may just loose it for now. Anyone got a better understanding of this?

This is a great looking car...where did you get the mesh from? Looks great. I was thinking of doing something similar but not even looked at mesh yet.
