  1. I'm sure I'd be interested in this, subject to fitted cost. Supra Noob here, will this give any benefits from the original stock part? i,e is it lighter or just stronger?
  2. I'll meet you guys at Blue water as coming from Purley, Surrey...if anyone is on route (say going past clackets to get to blue water, shout!) This is all reminding me of the Eye of the Tiger Music Video, walking down the street and more and more people join the gang. We just doing it in cars. PS can someone confirm in Blue water where we'll meet and what time...assumming no speed bumps or ramps will be involved my bumper is almost falling off as it is!
  3. I should say hello also Jamesy, might bump into you at some point. Best of Luck in your role. I've got some works planned already, but for any future work should I be coming to you in the first instance or going to Lee or both? Cheers, Vinny
  4. I need a couple of these....I think.
  5. My Veilside front is hanging lower everyday. Multi story car parks are a killer. When I asked these sorts of questions Stillen came up as best aftermarket clearance ( got a group buy up for them), although Stock looks to have much much better clearance.
  6. Are we talking complimentary here? Need to save money for the car! (PS pref no Jamesy) I know very little, but I cam keen on the little things like the FMIC plate, and other custom parts that improve on stock in terms of perforamnce/weight/asetics. I've seen some aftermarket full nut/bolt etc packages on some websites, although not sure how popular that would be....all ideas i guess.
  7. Wow, great car looks similar to mine only much more refined. Great to see what can be done.
  8. After a lot of searching and trying to make sense of offsets and wheel sizes, I've been lucky enough to get my hands on some wheels courtesy of j_jza80. 18" BBS LM's Gun Metal Grey spokes Fronts: 9", 245/40/18 ET 42 Rears: 10", 285/35/18 ET 50 Tyres: Pirelli P-zeros Have great clearance on brakes, however really not sure if I have big brakes or not. I will have to check the wheel arches but haven't noticed any rubbing yet! Will get some pics up soon when I've had a chance to polish them up and take some good shots. (Hopefully these wheels won't get laughed at next time I'm at SRD ) This is the start of a mini exterior make over which will involve a front bumper change (Stillen) and all grills/mesh replaced with a gunmetal grey finish (when I can source some) UP NEXT: FMIC, New stereo head unit, and some custom mats.
  9. Interested to see what these go for as I just bought some for a lot more than the current bid on ebay!
  10. I call out anyone with BPU...(pref non pro!!)
  11. Some nice looking Rims!
  12. Thanks Bradley, doubt I'll hit 110mph on the strip this year but hopefully in the future so may as well invest. Can use for Karting too I guess. Any helmet will do? I'd prefer something open face without a visor if this is sufficient. This one is on sale and looks pretty cool http://www.helmetsuperstore.co.uk/AGV-New-Bali-B2-Trendy-Pink-Silver-Sale_AUYVH.aspx?1 I'll try Sky Insurance for a quote then unless we have some sort of deals with anyone in particular for track days, if any member knows.
  13. I'm looking for anodised (Titanium) Aluminium parts for my interior. A brushed finish would be very nice also, so may be in.
  14. Ok folks, I'm going to be in touch. Looks like we have all the interest we have for now so looking to see what sort of prices these come out at with these numbers and we can discuss whether people want to proceed or wait for more interest.
  15. Probably a bit quicker for me to go clockwise but more than happy to meet up at Bluewater if thats where we end up meeting.
  16. Noob questions here after reading some posts. Are there requirements for dragging and drifting? I was think I need to get insurance for the day or is this covered at club level? Do I need a helmet? Wasn't planning on rolling the car! Anything else needed or recommend?
  17. Deal is set up now. Used Paypal in the end but mainly for speed as I can only do online transfers quick to other Halifax account. Is there cover on Paypal for family and friends payments? I was trying to work it out but got fed up and paid the 3.4% which I think is quite a high fee. Member is very trusted, got some good feedback...hopefully have some new wheels coming my way on Monday....hopefully they will fit hahaahah
  18. Can you add a thread to favorites? All you need is 12 for a Calender.... ofc you might want to get pictures of the ladies on there too.
  19. Good points. I don't really want to post specifics on names in this thread. He can post if he sees it. A number of positive feedbacks, many posts and a number of years as a member, and has support in his thread, so yeah I think this guy is trust worthy. Should be safe, I just got thinking!
  20. Yorkshire to London. About £100 for a courier insured unless I can find cheaper. Paypal should be instant as well but then you have to move the funds to your bank account. I can't think of any other way, unless they ahve credit card facilities which you can get for free via paypal also, but fees apply.
  21. Unfortunately it is too far, 150-200 miles each each and I don't have another car and can't really take the supra, so will organise couriers to pick them up and deliver, which seems to be quite cheap way to do it.
  22. Folks, If your buying stuff from other club members, I'd assume this was a relatively safe transaction, however what methods would you guys use to pay for items that are not collected and paid in cash. Paypal? Bank transfer? I don't want to make a transaction complicated but for a purchase over £1k I don't want to take any risks either. Could do some some advice from people who have made such transactions. Cheers, Vinny
  23. Disconnecting the Battery - Ok (Right size spanner in the Toyota kit) Disconnecting the old Head Unit - No problem. Wiring up the new head unit - Looks relatively straight foward with the ISO standard harness, however copying the old set up: There are two aerial inputs in the existing unit, however only one on the alpine, unless I need an adapter. Will have to check this out. The Aerial input that I can't fit into the unit has a red wire with it that was spliced to some wire..maybe a blue one. I assume this triggers the aerial motor to extend the aerial. There was a duel connection on the old wiring...Yellow and red cables I think Battery and ACC which seem to link together somehow, but the new set of wires doesn't seem to work in exactly the same way. Finally, the 2 din Apline units sleeve doesn't seem to fit into the existing brackets, a little small but also no points to screw it into, and it doens't look like you can use it without, so guessing there is a special bracket that I need to buy to fit this. Joy. Hopefully I'm getting there and it will all work!
  24. Starbuck

    Omg done it!

    Welcome. Enjoy your Supra!
  25. Thanks guys, I'll have a go. Had a look at the battery last night but wasn't sure which connector to remove or which one first to avoid electrocution. If its just the negative, I think that ones not covered and hopefully easy to remove. Dash wasn’t too bad getting off although there is one orange connector on the left hand dash panel which I can’t seem to get off. Seems stuck on. I did manage to get this out of the way though and access the Head unit area and pull that out. Will have to see if I can put all the cables in correctly. Then hopefully I haven’t blown anything up in the process and it will all work when put back together. With regards to the airbag, its not going to set the airbag off is it? Just put a warning up? I can deal with that later I think as I need to get the car back up and running asap.
