very nice indeed- congratulations I test drove one last week, in black with the circuit pack- absolutely fabulous piece of kit, grip really isn't the word- and it uses every single horsepower from the little 3 pot. Tempted to sell up and put my name down........ car fans & yaris haters- this only shares the lights and aerial (shark fin) with a 2020 yaris, everything else is bespoke- even the rear half of the floor is corolla...........

Good man! Green thing looks cool too enjoy- this may inspire me to start playing more regularly again. So thanks for that

That Ibanez should make a great guitar IMHO, and if you like the look of it i'd say you cant go wrong. As others have said very versatile, and rock type (thin, flat) necks tend to be easier for beginners IMHO. The re-sale, should you want to sell would be less % than something like a run of the mill fender or squier, but I personally think getting what you want is more important than that- and inspires you to play more. I always recommend people to buy the best they can relistically afford and i'll stick with that- but- bear in mind £1-200 guitars are quite a lot better than they were 20 years ago! Good comments on amps above too- budget for the whole rig. Good luck and keep us posted how you get on

I'm not gonna knock the quality of the snap ons- what's said here is very very true! However it depends how you intend to use it. I have the black industrial roll cab, picked one up at daft offer time, and for how I use it, it has been just fine. Mine stays in its place in my garage, rarely moves and i use a tote tray to take tools to the workpiece- so it doesn't go anywhere- but it has stood up to my cloth cap workmanship and temper tantrums! I've had it 10+ years. I couldn't comment on the top box as I went for a halfords pro centre and top box, but they seem to be holding up just fine too, but maybe not as sturdy as the industrial. Home tools don't get abused a tenth as much as work tools do- in my experience anyway.

Top bloke, i used to sprint with him sorry to see he has sold it on though. I was after his wheels! hope it found a good home. Is that the going rate for a nice NA 5 speed these days?

Hey great stuff man good to hear you're still out there were you at your usual local track for the last one? ha ha i'm trying my best with the silverware fella but TBH i really believe i have no talent in RWD- i was progressing well but seem to have hit a brick wall! the silverware was only really because in the opening event, the others in my class were rookies and still learning it- as soon as they got a grip i was nowhere! After the fun of popping the stock corolla in for a round its making me think of going back to FWD next season because its so natural- so despite the mk1 escort training i had when a kid and mk2 celica more recently (beam axle cars are soooo much easier to control- less grip!) I feel lost! If that does happen, the supra will be staying as a more daily / track day / weekend duty car- i love it too much to move it on. Wow now that sounds really interesting. How many rounds and which tracks etc will you be competing at etc? if you come across the pond for a round i'd love to come watch if the dates add up I'll assume it will be all your side though? -
Nice one mate i know who you are- i remember chatting about your legacy! any build threads or anything on your supra? i'd be interested to read ha ha yeah you got me at blyton 2 but that was just payback for an event a couple of months earlier any plans to join us again next year mate? Ha ha nice one mate i know there is a few on here who understand that, but most don't hope your getting on well with yours down the track fella I need to come on here more and have a catch up. C'mon Chris digress your karting career. I know folk in the game who may well remember you! I'd be interested to find out. well yeah, "true club level" racing to some is different to "competing" to others. Some of us have it in our brains or blood but cannot afford to do "true club level" (however you define that) because quite frankly it is f*cking extortionate to anyone to race on a "normal" wage. Just because we get our fix to compete in our own ways, we don't get classed as proper racers. To me if someone is out there getting track time doing the best they can with what they have in the format they can, including drag racing, which is a great sport in itself IMHO, then hats off- they are out there, getting involved, putting rubber to the tarmac and above all enjoying themselves- and that's the name of the game to me

Hello everyone, I don't come on here all that much these days but thought i'd do a 2014 summary ha ha. Ended up doing 1 track day (well, sprint practice day really) and 3 sprints in the supra. Managed the class win at the first one, and two 3rds in class at the others. heres a snap from the complex at croft: https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xap1/v/t1.0-9/10440674_10152542208614735_6358218446627905403_n.jpg?oh=4eb230f0a437e5ffc453551093e4950e&oe=54AB76F6&__gda__=1421553571_26613a67b2b1db3afb562f1cd5c4d831 and for a laugh i did a guest drive in my stock daily 1600 corolla. 9 in class- managed a second https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xap1/v/t1.0-9/10731164_10152613347179735_7635470078524928649_n.jpg?oh=a51d43ff345995456baf1c73371109f9&oe=54F2C9F5&__gda__=1424835488_599b1a55fa49b7e25aa7d1df5cb672ba LOL that was a lot of fun Hope everyone is well Does anyone have any plans for 2015? I'm not sure which way to go yet. -
sounds great! good luck to you, pumas sound like a lot of fun! and keep us all posted i love reading racing blogs etc. that goes to you future time attackers too i don't race wheel to wheel but i sprint, and do the odd track day. its prob a good thing because wheel to wheel would prob scare me to death i know that sprinting perhaps doesn't qualify as "proper" racing to some people, but i have a bucketload of fun that subaru looks evil!!! good to see a couple of karters too- i spanner for a kart team, love every minute of it. what years did you kart chris? the guy i spanner for was in 125 long circuit for a good few years until 2007. masterfett what class are you in? morzy your gaffer did well at rockingham i assume these 10 times the cost cars are the GT86's lol. that black 202 has regularly scalped a certain supra this year too

Toyota Only Trackday - Blyton park - Saturday 19th July
Dan_Q replied to Tsia's topic in National Events
Just been asked to bump this incase anyone wants to join in last minute -
I've not been there for years either but done a few sprints there inc. night sprints- those were a great experience! The first part of the track is tight for a soop but to me that just adds to the fun. I never did it in a soop but from experience it will be like getting a concert steinway up a back stair case........ Couldn't comment on the drifty + autobox thing, but trackday / sprint wise it will be fun, guaranteed good luck!

Thanks for the words and the vote of confidence Logie So by the sounds of it, you lowered the diff off its mounts before removing the shafts, is that the same with the prop, or did you remove that in situ?? Good tip on axle stands I was thinking of doing it up on ramps. Might talk myself into making a start on this at weekend. if the roof hasn't been blown off the garage and destroyed my soop that is.

delicious. great stuff fella -
Doing some research as i'm gonna attempt to swap my diff soon, and came across this. How easy was it Logie? Any hints or tips, and were there any throw away parts needed for the job? I'll admit I've never done an IRS diff before so doing my homework as best I can. Cheers!
