  1. Hello, JDM 94 TT stock twins Firstly, tires. Fronts are Michelin pilot sports from about ten years ago. As of recently inner cords are stripping away rapidly and the outer tread wall is cracking. I will have the tracking and alignment worked on, but it's safe to say it's probably time for a tire replacement. If I recall correctly, for street tires these were the best pattern Michelin ever did. Can anyone recommend some suitable replacements in regards to tread? Secondly, exhaust. We currently have on a HKS "Silent" back box with a steel rear pipe. From the silencer up to manifold it's all stock. The goal is to make it extremely loud (not no headers loud of course). I heard the super dragger is a pretty good fit? I really prefer deep tone exhausts that gurgle - V8 sounding almost. And would it be worthwhile to try and keep the HKS box on simply because we already own it?
  2. I don't see any Paul Brown Cars ultra sticky thread as everyone keeps eluding to. I see a handful of threads asking about Paul Brown where people chip in only to suggest the use of the search, and when you do go back further in time, you find a lot of posts that include 'I bought this car from Paul Brown' not 'this is my experience with Paul Brown' Just because the thread has the words 'paul' and 'brown' in it doesn't mean it's the information the author wants. So for the sake of him, and anyone else trying to not to waste their time with Paul Brown, do the favor and just link it.
  3. Nope they can't do that - because that would affect muslims and middle easterners the most as they are the new wave of baby factories. And you can't do bad things to muslims in the UK, it's just not allowed. The most worst part about this is that the welfare and socialism causes the racial rifts and divides that it's supposedly supposed to prevent! Britain used to be an empire. A respected and feared proponent for western civilization and a strong representative of western civilization. Now it's nothing more than a vessel for eastern domination. In the past I always used a paraphrased line from the movie Snatch when describing England to my friends across the pond. I would say "yes it really is just like that ...you know fish, chips, cup 'o tea, bad food, worse weather, Mary f**king Poppins... ENGLAND! Now I just tell them it's Kebabs, Arab cars on Youtube, welfare and Ndubz.
  4. I have a button in the same place. It's black and shaped like a large American wall switch(like used for a ceiling light or ceiling fan in a bedroom). It has a small marking on it which I cannot decipher and have never figured out what it does - my only thoughts are that it was alarm related. Given the location you've shown, override of some type seems likely.
  5. The Supra is one of the last vehicles to sport the long elegant nose so prevalent amongst the automotive world. It's for this reason that parking it is not quite as easy as a Volkswagen van. For those owners whom have a long driveway with their pride and joy in slumber until the weekends, be extra careful as you park and inch up closer with your daily driver. Number 1 : Always park nose to rear. The height of the Supra's rear will be easier to see and easier to gauge how close you are. Number 2 : Remember having a car cover on can be deceiving. It's something we should all naturally figure out... sadly I've seen what happens when common sense doesn't prevail. Fortunately it's someone elses problem, but still worth mentioning! : )
  6. Here is what they sent me. Notice the lip under the spline..seems the spline is quite excessive/aggressive compared to the OEM and ARP. The Shank measures appropriately, however not getting accurate read on the spline. I get a circumference of about 48mm / 3.14 = 15.3mm. OEM and ARP are no bigger than 14.8 - hope the female spline is big enough to take this oversized male. Will find out on Monday if they'll fit.. wish me luck.
  7. I assume that the numbers were Toyota's own, and I would imagine in the span of less than five years, all the conditions would be replicated as much as possible. In reality, you always add a second to the 0-60 time than what they say - just seemed odd that a full half second or more between 93 and 94. I didn't see them listed, maybe the page was cut-off - I just got a quick glance at it.
  8. Couldn't figure a way to search this! Remembering back(and confirmed from the Supra training video), the year MKIV launched, it boasted 4.6sec 0-60. I went and looked around and found the below : 93 TT 4.5sec 0-60 12.9 1/4 mile 94 TT 5.2sec 0-60 13+ 1/4 mile 95-97 TT 5.0sec 0-60 13.1 1/4 mile I know they added and removed some tech, i.e. traction control, gearbox variatons, various electronics etc, but not enough to cause a half second loss in time?
  9. Thank you. I found a shop not too far that deals 13.7 shank off the shelf, and about one inch longer than OEM. Hopefully soon have them fitted and be done with it. I guess I should have just done that to begin with, but couldn't understand how after fifteen years and only a handful of wheel removals, that a nut would randomly(seemingly) shear off.
  10. Anyone remember the standard length in millimeters for the OEM rear studs? I think with 5mm rear spacers, I'd be looking at needing something in the range of 12x1.5 I'll also try Steve at Toyota, though not sure if he's still around? @DNK Those are the original first generation are they not? Oddly I found mine were possibly a mid-year/half-year release, never to be seen again.
  11. Thanks Merck, that gives me somewhere to start. Funny that piece should come off...
  12. Can someone confirm if the cover needed in attached picture is this product code : 85292-01020 If not, please advise. Thanks
  13. Much obliged for all the responses. Local shop offered to put some new studs in for me. I found these http://www.titanmotorsports.com/arpwheelstuds1.html Do these look suitable? I am under the impression it's only the back wheels that have this threading issue. Have not had front wheels off yet recently to have a look.
  14. Ya Westy, just being paranoid. Jekyll, you make a good point. However thinking now about the rings..I'm not entirely sure if they are in there or not. Rings would affect the amount of available thread would they not? I didn't ever take notice of it, but the guy at the shop seemed concerned that he only had to torque it one full time around and them some before it was really snug..hence my theory on him over tightening. I'm assuming nuts would start shearing off before a wheel came loose - assuming they don't have enough thread to play with.
  15. Hey Jekyll, Pretty sure they didn't have rings. Over tightened was my first thought. The shop had the wheel off a few weeks ago but it was fine when we inspected it afterwards. I wonder if he thought because the nuts only go in about a full rotation and a half, if he needed to overcompensate and thus tightened it too much. I'm going to have to check the rest of them now. Furthering that, I'm having a hard time identifying the wheel model. I have no idea what they were other than from the early days of the original EQUIP series from Work. Though the original original had flat arms, as opposed to the slight curve(which is why I liked these). I've contacted Work hoping they can advise on wheel nut replacement. Thanks for mentioning over tighten, I'll check the threading tomorrow and then call the shop. Just hope I don't lose a wheel on the way.
  16. How on Earth did that happen? Scary thing is I drove a bit on it. Never noticed any trouble with the vehicle. Shame I don't have any spares.
  17. Thanks gentleman, however this is not a decal or a graphic over the original light. It's physically shaped like the Supra logo. I guess it's not a big deal to get some plastic and machine cut, but just hoped it was something already on the market.
  18. Still working on finding the picture/video. In the meantime, it's a rear third brake light which is shaped in the Supra logo. I cannot seem to find it for sale anywhere, though could be custom made. It just fits so nicely with the car I assumed someone would have started making them. Thanks
  19. I hate to say it, but Supras with wide kits and a low (or no) profile spoiler always make me think of mid 90s Eclipses. Blasphemy I know..I can't help it, Supras need wings!
  20. Stock twins on 1994. After about 3-4K Rpm, and under 1/4 to 1/2 throttle pressure I get a fluttering sound. I still hear the whine of the turbo increasing simultaneously. As I move through each gear, this flutter sound doesn't kick in until later in the rpm range. This does not happen when I left off/close throttle. I'm thinking it's a pressure leak somewhere when the motor is under enough load/stress? The flutter itself is like a headgasket that's on it's last legs or blown. It has a fast 'stiga stiga stiga' sound. Holly

  22. Been a good garage so far. They work in tandem with a reputable dealership that sits next door. They also work on a lot of exotics and non a-typical cars.
  23. That's what they tell me. Previously I tested it on a road trip. AC was on for a good ten minutes and it certainly wasn't chilly.
  24. Yes, one would assume you press AC and it automatically sets things in motion - from there you just adjust fan speed as desired.
