Got a problem guys, I have installed a lovely boostlogic turbo kit PT67 and it came with a AEM ECU, now I am lucky enough to have a 2001 6sp Supra and the ECU plugs dont match!!!! the old ECU has 6 plugs and the AEM has 3!!! obviously Toyota changed the ECU's when they went to the facelift model. Do you think I can get a 98-2002 Supra manual [like hens teeth] I am awaiting a reply from boostlogic and AEM, maybe I can get a patch harness, but was just wandering if any onout there has had the same problem. I have seen picturs of some of the Lexus ECU's and they look similar but who knows??? Chris:(

The EMS is the AEM V2, Suprastore will map as near to the fuel I am using and I paid a bit extra for remote tunning, where I run the car around and log the results send it to Supra store and they will look and modify it to suit, they say they can get it very near to perfect, but obviously I will put it on the dyno for final tweeking.

Hi Luc Thanks for the reply, the clutch has allready be Changed I am not to sure which one but it's really hard work in town, savage as hell!!! I presume a paddle or multi plate, I almost have to launch every time from the lights ha ha, and as for the RATTLE!! embarrasing somtimes sitting at a zebra crossing and folk looking wondering if the car has a problem. The fuel pumps come with the RKS setup it a direct change out, just pull the old assy out put the new one in, plus the new fuel rail with 1000cc injectors, regarding the poor fuel yeah I know thanks I goes quite well on the Gasahol 95% gas and 5% ethanol. I will be happy with 600Hp on the dyno but we shall see. will let you know. cheers

Hi Luc The web page: http://www.suprastore.com/19to19suhoki.html You will see tha stage 3 kit it's only Turbo and a few other bits I have gone for the Precision 67 Turbo and Rk fuel system [ you can pick and choose your parts] I wanted a Greedy T88 but was advised it would spool really late the T67 spools at 3500-4000 which is fine and can make 850 with the right fuel but here in Thailand the fuel is Piss poor only 91 and 95 gasahol so gonna map it for Gasahol 95. Hi Guys I have just bought the stage 3 single Turbo kit form Suprastore in the USA and this should give me 600-700HP. Now I want to upgrade my wheels to a wider set on the back to get all that power down, and was thinking 315's on the rear and 255's on the front. I am really struggling to find someone who can supply wheels of this size does anyony know a company that can deliver the goods. cheers : Chris

Cheers gents I will take a really good look tonight when I get home, I did wander if a pipe had come off, thats exactly what it sounded like a big release of pressure, Please how do I post pic's on these threads I cannot seem to attach them.

Sounda like a good idea mate lets get it on. just wrote another post it went booooooom today, took it to 7000RPm for the first time. I think a single turbo on it's way............... Chris

Ok only had it two days and Booom allready, took it to 7000RPM in third for the first time and a kinda PWhheeeew and all power gone gone gone, and a real struggle to re-start, it;s not catastophic as no oil on the ground no smoke from the exshast [spelt wrong] but I had to really nurse it home wont go above 3000rpm if you try it just dies and you gotta pump the throttle like mad to keep it going. The engine is not blown as its still quite smooth and quiet and no blue smoke so I think maybe a turbo gone?? checked and none of the hoses blew off the coolers, and not overheating, there did seem to be a lot of smoke from the exhaust when I restarted it but gone now, dunno. when I can actually get it started gotta pump the throttle to keep it going also you can hear a loud whining noise comming from the air intake!!! oh yeah sounds like a single turbo mod comming on???? I hope so. Any idea guys???????????????????????????????????????????????? Chris:(:(

Thanks for the reply gents, I can hear the Turbo about 3000 but nothing on the guage, It's really flat but at 4500 in third it goes mental!!! The car was very cheap for Thailand there is 280% import TAX on any car here, and I paid 21K pounds equivilent, so in UK terms its about 5-6K and it's a 2001manual model so I am well chuffed with it, now I plan to spend a bit on it, single turbo first, I have AVO turbo world about 10k fom my house so a trip down there as see whats what, they make there own Turbos ,coolers ,manifolds, the lot I will put here on the Dyno first for one pull before any mods are done. I would love to put one of those carbon fiber dashboard plates on, where to get ??? Thanks Chris:):)

Hi guy's well drove my first Supra back from Bangkok to Pattaya yesterday, Whooa and was not easy, the Clutch is a BITCH!! stiff as hell and Grabbs so quick kept stalling the thing to begin with but is ok now got use to it, it was only difficult cos I was comming out of Bangkok at rush hour on a Friday [grid lock for 1.5 hrs] Got a few questions ??? 1/ The clutch is really noisy at idle with the peddle out, push in and goes quiet but it does not slip and has plenty of bite?? any ideas?? 2/ The thing has no power at all untill 4500RPM really I mean no power, [a 1256 Viva comes to mind] 3/ If not above 4500 it allways hesitates/stutters when you floor it 4/ It,s a face lift model and the headlight are a bit yellow?? can I get new one's ?? 5/ Speedo only goes up to 180Kmts, need a new speedo, 6/ If I take it to 4000 RPM and let got the accelerator with it in gear it's kinda whiny bearing-y sound, but ok when accelerating and normal driving. Hi Jurgen The import Tax is 280-300% so you think ok I will get a low value reciept but they will look at the car and make there own value, so I would really need a scruffy looking one, also you gotta pay the customs official off about 2-3k and then get it registerd, it can be done, I spoke to you a few weeks ago about this. Maybe next week I will look into importing again with the customs [pay them a visit]. and find out myself. Thanks for the reply. Chris

If I take it for a thrash are there any tell tail signs I should look for??? we do have some good tunning garages here such as AVO Turboworld Asia and There is Bira International Racetrack in Pattaya so were not completly backward in that respect, but i know what you mean nothing like in the UK. Hi Guys I am just about to buy this but would like some advice first, I live in Thailand and not much availible here and importing is out of the question 300% import tax, and a real pain in the arse to register, so gonna buy here, if you have time please take a look at the link http://www.one2car.com/TOYOTA_SUPRA/D29110879 most of it is in Thai but parts are in english like Greedy T88 and other small snippets, cost about 30k GBP, not cheap!! Apparently it upgarded to 800HP [who knows] it's 2000 model, manual, single turbo, looks like a face lift model, looks ok, but my only worry is if it has been upgraded that it has been THRASHED and is Knackered!!! I know the basics to look for blue exhaust horrible noise fron the engine/gearbox, can you guys advise on any other things I should look for in a high HP Supra. They say 57.000KMS but as you can see the steering wheel has seen a lot more and the wear under the Fag lighter??? have not driven it yet but will next week if not sold, the car is in Bangkok and I live Pattaya about 180kms away, if you click on the small pic's it will enlarge. Hi guys just like to say hello as a new member, also I am just about to buy a supra here in Thailand, it cost way tooooo much to import about 280-300% tax, and pay off the customs official about 3K so Bo....ks to that! I am looking at 2 one is Auto and the other Manual I really want a manual but the Autos seem a lot cleaner, do you guys have any views on the auto box I want to upgrade to about 600-800HP will the Auto box take that??
