  1. The thing is I need to run an after market piggy bag ECU to tune the fuel emissions etc. Here in South Africa you only get 95 unleaded & not Super Unleaded. We are very limited with our fuel. If I change the exhaust, the car would lean out & needs to be tuned.
  2. Mine is stock, but I am about to do an exhaust & chip etc. But thank you again. Lets wait & see what others have to say about this topic. This is some important information you posted here!
  3. I will have to order these parts from overseas as I am from South Africa. Not many Supra's running around here
  4. @Ellis, can you check this link & see if this plug would work as well please? As this is a colder plug for BPU. http://www.importparts.co.za/catalog/p29041/Denso-Iridium-Spark-Plug-TOYOTA-SUPRA-95-95-(1-Step-Colder)/product_info.html
  5. Thank you for all the information! Really appreciated. @Ellis, is it really necessary to buy all those cam cover parts?
  6. Hey people. I want to service my Toyota Supra TT '93. I am on my way to to BPU on it aswell. Any suggestions on the following what to use? Gearbox oil? Diff oil? Engine oil? Spark plugs? Fuel Filter? Oil Filter? Part numbers would be apreciated becuase I have to order the parts from the states. Its an import & I am currently living in South Africa........ Thanks
  7. Yes it is a Jspec Supra. In otheR words, I still have. The 2 x cats. The only thing that's been replaced or changed is pipe joining after the 2nd cat, in others words it joins at te 2nd cat's flange, 85mm OD 1 piece pipe running in to 2 x small resonators directly series after each other then running into a Jasma muffler box, fitted with a HKS Priest tail piece. So what would the best thing be to do? To remove the complete system from front to rear and buy a complete cat back system, or just replacing the downpipe followed by the mid pipe (in other words just replacing both cats with an after market exhaust) and still running the aftermarket piping after the 2nd cat to the rear? And then somewhere I have to fit a restrictor ring. And what would the best exhaust sizing be from the downpipe right through?
  8. Hey Nic, I'm sorry for the late reply! Was a hectic day for me. My car still have the 2 x cats on like shown in the picture! But after the 2nd cat, it joins with a flange bolted to a 85mm OD stainless pipe with 2 x small resonators there after, followed into a Jasma silencer box with HKS Priest tail piece. So if I fully decate my car, what would the best apropriate downpipe be to buy with the mid pipe? Hks, Jdm, Blitz? I really need sounddddddd......and loud noise....!!! Hehe After I decat my car, I would be taking it for a Unichip, by one of the best oaks around in South Africa with tuning. Thanks for the info and the pic Nic.........
  9. Ok I do understand now. And what thickness pipe do you need to run after the downpipe to the rear? The reason why I am asking is that I bought the car from Japan with stock downpipe, stock pipe after the downpipe aswell, but an 85mm OD pipe joining after the mid pipe running through 2 x small resonators into 1 x box at the rear with an HKS Priest tip. So all I need to do is, get myself a decent downpipe followed by mid pipe.........but should the mid pipe be 76mm or 85mm as it should join to the 85mm rear there after?
  10. Hey guys, which downpipe works te best on a stock Jap Supra TT? I know of a guy who has a custom made 95mm diammeter downpipe bolted to a T88 turbo. I can get the HKS, JDM or Blitz, but its only 76mm in diammeter. Isn't that a little bit to small? Even if you run stock turbos? I was thinking of running a 85mm downpipe with 85mm right through to the back......including some resonators and a box at the back. Any suggestions?
  11. I appreciate all the info, thx guys. Would be fitting the BOV tommorow. Take care
  12. I have a 1993 Jap Spec TT. So now I am really confused. I am running stock motor with stock ECU. In other words, I CANT RUN AN ATMOSPHERIC BOV?
  13. Ok so it would not have any effect on the MAF sensor? I can fit one to my car?
  14. Hi, I have a Jap spec Supra tt 1993, has any one ever fitted an atmospheric dump valve to a Supra TT and would it work?
  15. Hey guys, how are you doing? I'm from South Africa. Recently imported a MKIV '93 Supra. I am slightly confused with the following and wondered if any of you can help me? I am running an Advox Toms suspension kit. I have the following wheels: Front: 235/40/18 - 8J with a 35mm offset Rear: 265/35/18 - 10J with a 35mm offset I am wanting to repair the mags and fit new tyres, but the repair would cost slightly cheaper than just buying a decent set of 19" Lenso wheels here in South Africa. I have no body kit and arches are still standard. The big question? If I had to run 19" Rims all round, what is the biggest size tyre I can run with what offset? Without modifying my wheel arches. I was thinking of running a 30mm offset allround, but not sure about the tyre sizes? Any suggestions please? Thanks
