Cheers pal ... I can't think of what it is that makes it do that I sprayed my mates Mazda's interior recently in exactly the same way as I did mine and his is fine ? Yeah I knew there would be a difference but WOW .... I had the work done at Whifbitz and at first only had the stage 2 done which was last week and I didn't really notice much, yeah better throttle response and she sounded nicer but no REAL performance change then a few things went well for me with work and I couldn't resist so booked in the car with Paul again this week and on Wednesday had the rest of the BPU kit fitted ........ The pull she gets on the kick down is unbelievable my traction control button is busted at the mo which is bloody annoying cos the power keeps getting cut when you take off
-
No more rubber but Shield needs to be re-cut !!!
-
What rubber hose Gaz ? Don't forget I've just had a new FMIC fitted with new piping so there's no rubber there anymore and I did cut it back after those photos were taken and smoothed it all off just in case anyway but I will be taking the advice I was given and cover the edges with some sort of piping/rubber so as not to scratch the nice new shiny pipes

Simple solution for putting the roof in the boot (it's raining where I am at the mo so the roof ain't coming off to show how it fits) And before anyone says it ... Yes I know she needs a bloody good clean

Hi guys thanks for the feedback ..... In response to some of the comments ... the blue lights are just a weakness of mine I can't help myself but that's all there is gonna be I'm not putting anymore in and to be honest at night it does look nice ... As far as the boot is concerned I do intend to make a custom build so the roof can fit in the brackets over the top but for the time being if I want to take the roof off I drop the rear seat and move the sub forward and the roof goes in its normal place (I'll take a photo to show what I mean). I know exactly what you guys mean about the ally bit, i need to modify it since the new pipe work has gone in there was plenty of room before, it was a quick fix anyway I really should make a better one from scratch ! And as for where does the shopping go ... If I do ever go shopping in it there's still room in the boot but most of the time I don't know if you noticed in the pics but I've got a big ole Dodge Ram sittin on the drive I think there's more than enough room for shopping in that Thanks again for the replies any comments/ suggestions more than welcome hopefully I'll meet some of you guys at a meet somewhere down the line I still haven't been to one yet so that's a definite must in the near future

Theres so much scope out there mate you should have a think about what you really want ie whether you want one thats already been BPU'd or had some work done on it or something factory then do it up yourself. I bought my GZ TT aerotop just over a year ago for £6000 and all it had changed were the wheels and it was lowered, everything else was factory with around 65000 miles on it there were other cars around for the same sort of price that had kits and bits and pieces on them but I wanted a blank canvass.
-
Well you are definately in the right place to learn about Supras pal what are you looking to get get an N/A or TT ???
-
yep all done by yours truly like i said with the help of the guide somewhere on here
-
crystal clear side indicators definately make a difference if all goes well will be getting paul at whifbitz to put in clear front ones next week and finlly get rid of those big ugly orange blocks
-
Sprayed a few covers too next thing that has to be done is the TRD brace and the spark plug cover all in the same blue Ive already got some nice new stainless bolts for the cover just need to get it done .... Ive run a strip of LEDs all round the engine bay too it looks great at night need to get some good quality photos though the phone just cant hack it ....
-
heres a few pics of the engine bay.... when i took out the stock air box i had to do something about trying to stop the hot air getting into the filter area so I got a sheet of aluminium from B&Q and made some kind of a heat shield, granted it doesnt look like much but it definately helps ...
-
Yeah Ive done everything cosmetic myself not easy doing the LED conversion though theres a guide somewhere on here on how to do it ... the knowledge some of the guys have on here is invaluable

I reconditioned the headlights too took them apart and sprayed them...... Ive got to get some glass ones im constantly polishing these jspec ones to get that yellow staining off the front and when the lights are on it lets the whole car down cos the plastic shows up all the impurities ........ recently my front badge snapped in half when I was cleaning the car and I wanted to get something different .......... this one was intended to go on the back of a car but i thought it woiuld look nice on the front it sits a bit high so at some point Im going to get it set into the bumper but thats probably a long way off ..... The great thing about this badge is look what happens when i flick a little switch on the dash ...

Right now thats sorted might as well go through what Ive done sorry not many photos i use my phone and have lost loads of photos over the year when I changed my phone ..... When I got the car the dash had that horrible (In my opinion) wooden effect all over it so that had to, go no doubt you guys all know what a nightmare it is to get off and then all that nasty black rubbery tuff thats all over everything too When it was all done the whole lot got sanded, the idea was so that anything that was going to go over it would have a good key. This unfortunately is where Ive lost photos ..... Anyway my first idea was to wrap everything in carbon fibre effect vinyl so the door handles, gearstick surround and ashtray got covered in that but i didnt want to try doing the main dash panels until I had a practice so i got some cheap yellow vinyl and had a go ... this was the result..... So the interior honestly looked a mess some bits carbon other bits yellow and to make things worse the viny started lifting and bubbling in the weeks that followed, so I abandoned that idea and decided to sort out the sounds. Everything about this car was original apart from the wheels and that it had been lowered (dont ask by how much I dont have a clue) so I still had the old double din stereo in it and the crappy old speakers that by now had just deteriorated into nothing. In went an old Ripspeed stereo with flip up screen and the speakers all got changed to kenwood fronts and ripspeed rears Im not too fussed about havin a major install at the moment just something that sounds half decent but still wacked a sub in the boot ... The template for the door mounts was a lifesaver For those of you who noticed these are recent pics as i said before I lost loads from earlier in the year when all this first got done hence the blue dash and handles rather than carbon fibre and yellow .... Interior wise thats it really Ive sprayed the dash, gearstick surround, ashtray, door handles (Dont think I did too bad considering it was all done with a rattle can in my shed) in a metallic blue, changed the dials to some plasma glow ones and with the help of a guide thanks to the forum converted all the dash control lights to blue LEDs ......... Im going to try and get some pics at night these dont do it justice

Last time I posted was about a year ago when I bought my J spec GZ TT aero top and thanks to paul and the guys at Whifbitz I'm officially BPU and I can't wipe the stupid grin off my face [GRIN][/GRIN] I have no idea how to upload photos from my iPad there's a few bits I've done and I really want to show off the car and see what you guys think so if anyone can help with instructions on how to upload photos it'd be much appreciated

Hey guys had my supra for about 5 months now thought it was about time I joined the club. It took me ages to find the right one but eventually I found her, a silver TT GZ aerotop and I love her. Haven't started on performance yet only polished headlights to get that yellow tinge out of the cover, sprayed the inside black but left the chrome halos round the lights noticed alot of people are doin that just thought it would look nice when I had the lights in bits. I put an aftermarket flip DVD screen in surprised how easy that was and changed my dials to the plasma glow ones that change from either green or blue I found them on ebay they look impressive gives a modern edge to the dash. At the moment I am in the process of trying to change all the lights in the dash controls this has turned out to be a big project if anyone has any advice or guides I would really appreciate it. Ill post more about how its going as it progressis and will post some pics
