  1. I hear what you are saying about ordering the import mate but even if the garage doesn't pay out ill still be taking it .
  2. I've got the original import paperwork for when the car was imported in 2003 with 20,000 miles on the clock and cost £16995 which I gave copies of to the owner today and the draft letter of liability and cost was based on that which is now at the solicitors to tighten up so I'm hoping I've got my bases covered.
  3. Getting stock GZ from Japan through Jurgen when he finds one then getting all mods done through whifbitz so I'm a happy chap. Cheers pal
  4. Not being funny mate but I tried trusting them and look what happened
  5. Thanks again guys I think the fact that I have a legitimate claim against them both civil and criminal it works out cheaper to just give me what I want rather than going to court and incurring costs and all that lot as well as replacing the car. I'm not taking the piss and trying to milk the situation either by trying to get something else I just want like for like.
  6. Update - Had a meeting with the owner today and got a letter drafted up to say they accept full liability and surprisingly have agreed to all my demands so happy days. Also I've been given a courtesy car for however long it takes to source the new car so at least I've got transportation. Thanks to everyone for their support and advice it's just a waiting game now till I get the all important call from Jurgen
  7. Ok to answer a few comments .... The garage I took the car to is apparently a registered bodyshop who take in wheel refurbishment jobs but send the wheels off site to be done (I wasn't aware of this initially but it's no big deal). I have double checked all this and the wheels were collected from the garage on Friday and returned with no work having been done to them yesterday morning so what Kaan W has said about waiting for me to turn my back before going on a joy ride is way off the mark. I've checked with the police and the time and location of the crash matches up so nothing dodgy there, the only unknown part is how the crash happened, which no one knows except the driver and the police have refused to give me details of emergency calls made as a result of the accident, there were 4 calls made one of which was the off duty copper as stated in previous posts. As for the amount of 15k, yes that was a number plucked out of the air by the owner but really the cost is not my issue nor my insurance companies its down to him, so if his insurance only pays out 5k he has to foot the bill for the rest. As far as I'm concerned the supra is now his and I want a replacement and that means he has to pay for a stock GZ from Japan then pay for all the aftermarket work that has been done, or, we go to court which I'm more than happy to
  8. Well I've arranged to meet the owner of the garage tomorrow and told him straight that I don't want the car fixed. At the end of the day I didn't buy a car that had its front end rebuilt so why should I settle for that now ! Jurgen has said I'm looking at around 8k for a fresh GZ from Japan so lets just say I find one at that price, then it's got to be BPU'd and if needed have all the seals etc replaced because that's what mine had done and I can prove it, so still looking at over 12k. Basically it's his insurance that has to sort it out if he wants to go down that route not mine as I wasn't even with the car so it's covered under his policy but I'm pushing for a cash settlement away from insurers or ill take him and the company to court for negligence and anything else I can throw at them which as I said before would most likely go in my favour according to solicitors. At the end of the day his driver crashed my car without my authority so I want a replacement car that's exactly like the one they crashed, its a reasonable request I'm not asking for a newer model with a big single in it just what I gave them in the first place !
  9. Ok so Jurgen is on the case trying to source me a GZ from Japan ... spoke to the police last night and found out that there wasn't any other vehicles involved in the accident or another crash other than the supra in the area and to top it all an off duty police officer was the one who called it in so the little f****r who was driving was without a doubt ragging the car and lost control not to mention the fact that there is no logical explanation as to why he was on the stretch of road he was on, going away from my address ......
  10. Nice idea mate but I want an original GZ again ...
  11. Thanks again for all the comments guys I've come to my senses finally and spoken to Jurgen looks like he's gonna source me another GZ so I'm going to push for 15k cash from the garage and take the salvageable BPU parts off the car to swap over they can do what they want with it after that I think that's reasonable my friend is a solicitor and I spoke to him about it and if it went to court he reckons its clear cut in my favour anyway so looking like a good outcome ...
  12. Definitely not taking the car back if I can there's a converted GZ Aerotop at Paul brown I have my eye on
  13. Thanks for the input guys much appreciated ..... The owner said it was looking like a 15k job so after much thought I've decided I'm going to find another car and just get them to buy me that instead of spending the money on repairs. Can someone tell me who Jurgen is if he is the man to talk to for finding a car....also what's the deal with paulbrown cars they have a couple of aeros that look nice but for some reason something doesn't feel right ???
  14. Yeah this is the place ...... Comments ?
  15. The company is called Autohaus they are a decent bodyshop so not too worried bout the work being done ill make sure it's all done above board and no corners cut ..... Have a little faith guys if I didn't think they could do it I wouldn't let them
  16. Yeah I touched on that issue with them they assured me it'd all be done properly and I intend on keeping a watchful eye on them too.
  17. Literally just got back from looking at her just had to share my pain The owner has said they will foot the bill to get her fixed no matter how much, the company will pay. they are gonna take the front end to pieces over the next few days and make sure the engine isn't damaged then rebuild her. Have to say the owner is dealing with it well he's given me a new fiesta to drive around in And said they will go through all the parts that need to be replaced with me and not just crack on, so I'm happy. Oh and I get to chose a new set of alloys ....
  18. The story goes he was driving through a tunnel and there was a crash so he swerved to avoid it and stacked her into the wall ..... Biggest load of #!@? I've heard in my life !!!
  19. So much for refurbing the wheels .....
  20. Took the chariot in to get the alloys refurbed last week, thought I would treat her, then after not hearing anything I got a phone call today saying that they couldn't do anything because they didn't have the right machinery. Not what I wanted to hear, then to top it off a text message followed saying that the car had left the shop and was on its way back to me. To say I wasn't pleased is an understatement, NOBODY drives my car other than me and I was fuming. There is a very good reason that I don't allow anyone to drive my car, this pic should explain .........
  21. Is the BW meet only once a month still haven't been to one you guys seem like a laugh though
  22. I think you are mad fripon, if you live in Enfield, Paul (whifbitz) is only at Crews Hill and though it has been said that he is expensive the guys there know their stuff and as the old saying goes "you get what you pay for" ! Give him a call or message him on here no offence to the guys on here trying to advise you but for a new owner who doesn't know much about the car playing about with things might do more damage than good...... Paul also sells BPU packages well worth you having a look on the website ....... Good Luck pal
