  1. If the VVTI is an interference engine, then it will be because the valves are opening much sooner and will be nothing to do with the lift.

They are probably not needed if using stock twins and you never race the car but good insurance if you race or have a single turbo conversion.

I actually ended up feeding the oil squirter gallery from the outside as I had already drilled and tapped one of the blank plugs that normally feed to the twin turbos, as this is the same oil gallery. The feed is by an exterior oil line from the other side of the block and I also have a seperate one from the other side of the block for the turbo. I had to do it this way as I discovered the hard way that this oil gallery is dry after the engine was assembled and in the car.
  4. I have a T4 MasterPower T70 (69.1mm compressor with AR 1.00) and I have made 450rwkw (603rwhp) on a dyno dynamics dyno with the Getrag 6 speed on 98 octane pump gas with Nulon octane boost. This equates to around 710hp at the engine. I'm pretty sure that with more tuning (and getting the boost to hold) it would have made 500rwkw. The turbo is rated around 800hp. I would expect you could get 400+ rwkw on the 0.68 AR.
  5. Both the NA and TT engines are non-interference engines. Its only when you put in cams with over ~9.5mm lift, that you turn the engine into an interference engine.

You also need to drill an oil gallery connection across the front of the GE block as the oil gallery where you drill and tap the 6 holes into for the oil squirters is dry until you do so.
  7. Mine also has the manual valve body so the only electrics used on the trans is the Digital Dakota SENS-01 (screws in at left rear of trans) used to send the speed signal to the Digital Dakota converter for the odo/speedo. Do BL provide a speed sender unit with the auto you bought?
  8. Probably not, unless I also install a 2-step at the same time to limit the rpm to say 4000rpm, so that the launch would not be too harse on the tires and drivetrain. My mate with a similar setup has got low 1.5's just driving off the line.
  9. It's a custom made radiator using a 60mm or 70mm core?
  10. Thanks. My car info page (which still says 6 speed so needs updating) is at: http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/members/kevin.htm
  11. I have changed my 6 speed Supra to a Turbo 400 (TH400) and have put together a short article on the conversion on my website for anyone that may be interested in doing the same. http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/members/kevin_th400.htm
  12. I've had my 1994 TT 6 speed since Feb 1998, so I've owned it almost 14 years now and I will probably never sell it as I still love driving it. Cost NZ $36,500 back then as they were very rare in NZ. They tried to sell them new in NZ for NZ $165,000 in 1993, so that price was a bargain.
  13. If anyone has one that they would like to sell or know of where I could buy one from then please send me a PM as I'm very keen to get one. These are the B04D diff with the 220mm ring gear and a 3.538 ratio as used in the 1993+ UK spec auto TT Supra.
  14. Isn't the JDM a 200mm diff with 3.77 ratio and the UK a 220mm diff with 3.54 ratio?
  15. I'm after the UK/Europe 3.538:1 ring gear and pinion for the 220mm (8.6") big Supra diff. Seems its been discontinued now in UK/Europe and no more are available new so if you have one that you would like to sell then please send me a PM. I have the 3.267 Jap spec diff at the moment and am willing to swap the diff or just the ring and pinion for the 3.538 one with cash your way. Also willing to just buy the diff or ring and pinion set. The diff is the B04D and the part number for the ring and pinion is 41201-80056 (46:13 for 3.538 ratio)
  16. I'm planning on installing the 3.538 crown wheel & pinion (46/13) that was standard fitment on some of the EUR and GCC Supra's (B04D) diff into my 1994 Japanese 6 speed big diff (B03B) Supra. The part number is 41201-80056 and it is supposed to be a 220mm crown wheel. I would like to know for sure that it is a straight swap for the 3.266 crown wheel & pinion in my Supra before I buy one. Has anyone ever installed one of these in the Supra big diff?
  17. Which is the best Toyota dealership to provide good discounts on parts for Supra owners in the UK?
  18. OK, the part I am after is 41201-80056. It is the 220mm crown wheel & pinion setup with 3.54:1 ratio that came out on a few of the EUR and GCC Mkiv Supras as per attached pic. I'm wanting it for drag racing as I will give me a better ratio with the 28" drag tires.
  19. Thanks for the welcome. I am the webmaster for http://www.mkiv.co.nz so some of you will know me. Based on my research there are no aftermarket parts for what I'm looking for, so I'll need to buy the relatively "expensive" OEM part.
  20. As mentioned, I'm after UK/Europe specific Supra parts so Japan and USA are not an option.
  21. Hi, Does anyone know the cheapest place to buy new OEM 1994 Toyota Supra parts from in the UK or from Europe? I'm after some UK/Europe specific Supra parts that I can't get from our local Toyota dealers in New Zealand as they can only get parts from Japan. cheers Kevin
