  1. What's the cost of this conversion Lee? Great work, good to see you pushing new possibilities
  2. I'm currently in Kos, an island which is only 20km x 8km. The media made out before we came out here that we would be falling over migrants and that the island was overcrowded.... I haven't seen any evidence of any of the above as yet and we've toured most of the island now.
  3. Ex REME avionics technician, 7Bn Medically discharged Sep 2010
  4. I have one, but I'm on holiday until Sunday.
  5. The only warning I can offer reference log style manifolds is that the pitch is very deep and doesn't sound like a typical single 2J. Other than that, they spool well and make things simple with regards fitment
  6. It's got nothing to do with him buying or selling parts on this forum, it's more of a case of his company being advertised/services pushed via this forum as he is not an authorised trader. People, please go and refer back to the rules you agreed to when registering for this forum, it is clearly defined within.
  7. I don't have an issue Craig, but fair is fair and we have done exactly the same with other traders who aren't authorised on the forum. If you have an issue with this, I suggest you PM me or one of the Reds.
  8. I genuinely think you may struggle at £3k now mate, prices on NA5's have shot up in recent times... Good luck with the search though!
  9. Hi all, I know there have been previous threads on this topic - I've read the majority of them hoping for some miracle cure for the scuttle shake found on the aero. However, the conclusion of most of these threads is that, strut braces, ARB's and the do Luck braces, do not work. The only real way to cure the flex is to fit a welded roll cage. For some people this is not an issue, however, I'm not entirely comfortable with having a full cage fitted in a road car. I therefore wondered if, since 2007/8 when the previous threads were posted, has anybody managed to cure the scuttle shake on the Aeroflop and if so, how? Mine is driving me insane with all the rattles the flex brings along with it!
  10. Rich.2211 and Rob_Sri have both run BC's on their cars. I always thought they drove spot on. The dampener adjustment gives plenty of choice too and allows you to really tune the ride. As for on track, both cars perform well through the bends, although I believe Rob's has updated front and rear ARB's too. I myself run the HSD dual tech coilovers. They're great for the street, perform well enough on track for my level of driving skill and weren't horrendously expensive.
  11. I brought a locking wheel nut removal tool from Halfords when we lost the key. It should work in the same way for your nuts though mate - in essence it's a reverse, coarse, threaded socket that you hammer on the first thread and then as you tighten it down the nut, it cracks the wheel nut off. It wasn't expensive either so maybe worth a go mate?
  12. Get it brought:) looks like a decent kit for the money mate. I'll trade, you make my bay shiny, I'll fit the turbo kit to your car. Lol I'll drop you a message on FB regarding the intake bits mate.
  13. Of course you can mate, no stress at all.. I'm sure we can find a minute for a quick blast. But the bay is stunning, mine is dismal in comparison, I need bling! Don't suppose you still have a spare intake setup do you? Want to get one painted while the other is on the car and swap them.
  14. Get yourself to the classic car show in November then mate, it'll be on display there and no doubt I'll be attending some events with the club too, so I'm sure you'll get chance:) Fingers crossed for you then buddy! Shame about the box, but once sorted it'll be all worth it. I'm still on my W58 at the moment - holding up well might I add! I will be getting myself a 6speed when one turns up and I have the money sat waiting again. For now, I'm running 1.2 Bar of boost, at 1bar it made 450bhp, 420ftlbs.
  15. Cheers James, they are on the list to buy, along with a 6speed:grin: Just daunting when I know Jake's and your cars are so perfect! Cheers buddy, I'm glad I stuck to it, all worth it in the end! I am indeed using the Whifbitz Log manifold. I will be swapping this out for a boost logic/PHR manifold at some point in the future as I want a higher pitched noise that the log manifold cannot deliver due to its runner length.
  16. Just a quick update on this, car is running absolutely spot on, couldn't be happier with it. It's due to have the TRD spoiler painted and fitted on 2nd October, along with some other painted engine components. I will then start preparing the car for the Classic Car show @ the NEC. To say I'm worried about the state of the car is an understatement! It'll be parked up next to some of the finest examples on this forum!
  17. Like my previous post suggests, your car is Obd1.
  18. Oldbury, West Midlands? Do we know what model it is? NA/TT? Manual/Auto?
  19. Hi buddy, You have to be a paid up Member to advertise for parts, it's £10 for the year and well worth it as it opens up the classified section and the entitlement to club discounts. I've edited your post for now, Josh
  20. Excellent, cheers for that mate. My only question is, what would then need to be modified on the car itself for it to receive the signal? Just the alarm presumably?
  21. Oh how misinformed you are.... An NA-T is as expensive or as cheap as you want it.
  22. Josh42

    NA-T vs TT

Great answer Jay! Finally someone who doesn't just blast NA-T!
  23. Anything used before I order from Paul?
