  1. Out of interest, have you looked at how the ratios stack up on the BM boxes against the W58/V161?
  2. Either Tim @ TB Developments or John @ John Ashley Exhausts in Walsall
  3. I've had no issues with support from AEM to be fair mate, plenty of help about and plenty fitted to NA-T's albeit in the states
  4. No need mate, thank you. In my own mind, I knew that's what needed to be done, I just needed reassurance from someone who had done it to be fair mate, so thank you
  5. What did you do with the Earth Jake? Just run a wire to ground somewhere on a bolt? Thanks mate!
  6. Morning All, So, not for the Supra, for an ST205, however, I'm fairly convinced that the setup will be similar. As you may have seen my other half has recently purchased an 1996 ST205 Celica. It's a lovely car, but the steering wheel was naff and heavily worn. Hannah decided to pick herself up this steering wheel from a late model ST205: Here comes the problem. Her car is not equipped with airbags, whereas this wheel is. When looking at the two wheels, the original steering wheel's horn connection is made via a spade terminal and the steering wheel has a metal ring built into the rear for the purpose of a ground. The new wheel has no spade terminal connection and only a yellow airbag connector. Question is, how would i go about fitting the new wheel and getting the horn/signal cancellation to work? Is it more hassle than it's worth? I'm obviously aware that the airbag won't work.

    1/4 mile ET's

By no means will I be taking up drag racing[emoji16]

    1/4 mile ET's

Precisely thanks Luc:thumbs: Please don't think by any means that this thread is me asking advice on how to make my car quicker on the 1/4 mile. This is merely a thread asking theoretically what would I expect to run if it were possible for me to launch better - ie, if I wasn't trying to preserve my box.

    1/4 mile ET's

You're quite right. I could, no doubt bring the 60ft down, however, I was encouraging an element of wheelspin to take some of the shock loading from the box. A 6speed is definitely on the agenda shortly. With reference tyres, I'm currently running Toyo T1Sports @ 36PSI front, 34 PSI rear, I didn't alter pressures for the track. I'll get some vids up shortly

    1/4 mile ET's

Hi Luc, I was running standard road tyres: 235/40/18 front 255/35/18 rear my worry is, with drag radials, the additional traction will completely kill my w58.
  11. Hi all, Having just got my car back from a mapping session, I decided to have a go at RWYB yesterday. The car is making 570.9hp @18PSI boost. I ran consistently @13.3s @120mph but my 60ft times were, again, consistent at 2.7s - shocking I know! I know I should realistically be looking for closer to 2s. Part of me was holding back so as to not destroy my w58, but I really did genuinely struggle for traction. So my question really is, with a terminal of 120mph, if I could achieve a decent launch, what should I expect my 1/4 mile ET to be? Apologies if this is vague/there are too many other variables to consider. Thanks, Josh
  12. Finances will dictate mate unfortunately, I would love to otherwise:( I'm going to try and sort it by the end of this year. Cheers mate:) Not for me personally, I'd like the factory V16* for value purposes as well as the performance benefit to be fair mate. It would be a sound investment.
  13. I did tell you at the time dude;) I desperately need a V16* to fully unleash this car now, but finances will dictate. I will certainly be trying to nurse the box for now. I can honestly say, the W58 has held up for just under a year at 450hp,420ftlb and I think it's all down to the smooth power delivery, sensible full faced clutch and some careful shifting. It obviously will fail at some point, but for now, it's all good. I'm really happy dude.
  14. So after the 2step was enabled, my mapper also had a play. What do you think to these figures? Lo boost - 10PSI Hi boost - 18PSI As you can imagine, I won't be using hi boost all that often, if at all while I still have a W58, but great to know what the engine is capable of, with much more scope for further power.
  15. I believe so mate, I've not picked the car up yet. I know that the car won't activate it unless it's under a certain speed, 3mph I believe
  16. I've had a similar message in my inbox from someone else dude, but I most certainly shall buddy. I'm finally getting my enjoyment out of it at least. It should make quite a few public events this year too, the first of which being Japfest
  17. A little 2step.... https://vimeo.com/156602190
  18. I'm thinking sometime between now and June mate as I'd love it fitted in time for my roadtrip across Europe - those tunnels would emphasise the higher note I'm looking for  I'll have an ask about and post once I've had some answers.
  19. If you are seriously interested, it maybe worth seeing if we can get discount for 2+? Have you approached Lee or anyone? It's a shame HKS don't do an off the shelf manifold for this.
  20. I'll have to see what I can do, I'm pretty certain I want to swap this manifold out now. What are you thinking of going for mate?
  21. Steve Manley @ Inchcape Toyota Oxford is by far the best/easiest parts guy I've ever dealt with. Very knowledgable and always happy to give discount to members.
  22. Yeah, I've got a local guy who can mod my down pipe for me without an issue. Also may need to mod the screamer pipe dependant on wastegate position. Did Paul not get back to you at all about it or was he just not interested in remanufacturing them? To be fair, it was my first choice too. I'm currently looking at DOCracing and ETS but would prefer a known UK brand if possible.
  23. I already have a screamer pipe Lee. As I said, we have identical setups bar manifold.
