  1. Great work Christian, stunning results. well done for the guys who organised this, it's nice to see the boss getting some real recognition for all of his hard work!
  2. Well, it's been emotional. It's served me well and certainly been heroic, but my beloved W58, is now dead. May it Rest In Many Pieces https://vimeo.com/163871398
  3. Got to be honest, both my car and Rob_Sri's were down on power when we visited dynodaze recently. I got worried and took my car back to the tuner for him to check it. It was only when I realised that Rob's had also read similarly down that I stopped panicking.
  4. It took me 8hrs to convert my car from auto to W58 on a ramp. Including changing the tunnel and diff. Parts required from memory are: W58 box Clutch Flywheel Propshaft Diff Clutch line - hard line + flexi Manual brake pedal clutch pedal Clutch master cylinder Clutch slave cylinder Flywheel bolts Clutch bolts Bell housing bolts Shifter + rubbers Shifter surround panel Gearknob Gear gaitor Manual Rev counter Manual ECU (optional) Manual transmission tunnel I think that's it from the top of my head.
  5. That's PJAvon's old car. Another one that has been owned by Rich. Nice car that is.
  6. I can assure you it's not mate. I helped Rich build that car. His was a 1993 on a L reg, ending in SNO.
  7. This isn't Rich.2211's old one, his is a different reg and is now a VVTI TT:)
  8. I test drove a GT86 and a 370Z almost back to back last year. The 350Z had plenty of power, bags of torque and sounded good too, but the interior finish was definitely of primark construction. Such an awfully cheap place to sit. The GT86 felt a much nicer place to be, but lacked the power of the 370Z. I'd probably take the GT86 over the 370Z with the knowledge that there are now plenty of on the shelf forced induction kits.
  9. I think Rob_SRi has one. Drop him a PM.
  10. Quick video, apologies for poor quality. https://vimeo.com/161396694
  11. The car also ran at Santa pod a few weeks ago. On street tyres, 255/35/18 rears I ran 13.3 @ 120mph consistently My 60ft times were horrific, 2.7s I know that with a decent launch and by reducing the 60ft time to around 2s I should have a 12s car. A little bit of common sense prevailed however and I decided to save the W58 instead.
  12. I do definitely have one somewhere mate, I'll dig it out tomorrow if nobody gets you sorted in the interim
  13. Managed to take the car for a short blast today with the roof off. While the flex and rattle still really wind me up, there's no denying it's the best way to enjoy the soundtrack. Hi boost on this car is savage and brings plenty of smiles with it. I've started to look at Gearbox options, while my heart tells me to source a V16*, I've started to have a look at the BMW 420G. The ratios can work when paired with an A03B and boxes can be had fairly cheaply. While my W58 is still hanging on in there, I'm under no illusion that it's only a matter of time.

    My new car

I've been out in one of these, what an absolute animal?! The power is instantaneous and seriously aggressive. Nice buy. I would seriously consider one of these for myself. Here's the one I went out in.
  15. Not far from me, but wouldn't have been me. What condition was it in? Any mods?
  16. I'll pop up with Aiden, Rob and Matt too if they're about, we probably won't run our cars though
  17. Correct Jay, just bolted up to the stock lip. I've had no issues with clearance even when I've been forced to navigate a speed hump and my car is pretty low. Cheers Mike, they made a huge difference to my car as I had pre facelifts which I had refurbed myself previously.
  18. I also did this last year, a huge improvement!
  19. Is that a manual or auto diff dude? Sounds interesting:)
  20. I'd be up for it too as I'm sure Rob_SRi and MHarvey would be too
  21. I'd definitely reccomend doing the front crank seal mate. As you've said, pull the old one out carefully without scoring/scratching the crank. The new one needs to be pushed in so that it's perfectly flush with the oil pump housing. Any further and it will leak. I would perhaps also look at replacing the camshaft front seals and cam cover seals while you're there
  22. This mate, good answer from mellonman. I've seen it a few times now on various cars, but Jspec brakes are notorious for seizing up.
