  1. just stick yourself down as the main driver. its not illegal, its just a grey area for them to prove your son is the main driver. (this is called fronting.) all they can do is decline to insure/renew your insurance. I'm 25, but have my missus 28 as the main driver. the difference is over £1000 in savings. If you don't you might as well burn the money cos you're never going to get the money back.
  2. as above it has an Intel chip and it was purchased from Apple California in 2009. not sure how to check what graphics it has but i'll Google it and see. its my other half's laptop so will let you know tomorrow.
  3. Urdu, surely? http://api.ning.com/files/FCAJM32YTRnY7KxnGdFmmw0H9W0C-A0J6V8YiOHSuu2VW76iuaoGb7j3dy8z7-sJG9jTzYtFU15l-yiqpiRQVH6EVxEgo7Hr/epic_fail_Epic_Failss420x42048808580.jpg not keen on the car either
  4. For sale is our MacBook 4.1. Originally purchased in California USA it's time for it to find a new home. As it's an American unit, there is a button located in different place. The number 3 shows a # sign but it actually produces a £ when you hold shift. To make a # sign you need to hold the ALT (option) button down. Apart from that everything else is the same. It's in excellent condition as you'll be able to see from the images. It comes with a Kipling Laptop bag. As expected for a used laptop, there are a few scuffs on the cover but nothing deep or major (see images). The battery is like new and lasts for at least 4 hours. Included is the original box with all chargers and CD's. This includes the American, Europe and Australia/New Zealand plug adapters. Once the laptop is sold, we will do a fresh install meaning the OS will be: 10.5.2. (it currently runs 10.5.8) Some basic specs: Hard Drive is 250GB Ram is 2GB Processor Speed is 2.4 GHz DVD re-writer Price is: £350 Delivery is £10 via Interlink Express next day. We recommend giving a work address as delivery is during working hours. Alternatively the buyer can give cash on collection from the East London area. 5. I'd hate to be behind that primera when those afterburners fired up!
  6. I get that round here, but I tend to drop it in neutral & rev it so it sounds like I am picking up speed & watch them dash across the road. Best one was when a young man was bowling (you know the plastic gangster walk) across the road & looking at me while he was slowly making his way to his friends who already crossed over to the other side. As I got closer, I just yanked the handbrake (don't worry I was in a new ford focus hire car), the thing squealled so loud & you should have seen the kid run across the road & his friends laugh at him! Not such a big guy after all! anyone notice how kids/teens only cross after the red man appears? I was at a junction and two youths were on the side standing while people crossed during a green man. it turned to the red man and traffic light went green. turds decided to start walking!!! argh !!!
  7. 1) women with nice legs walking on pavements 2) women with nice legs in hot pants riding cycles 3) women in short skirts all of the above annoy the hell out of me. bloody distracting when driving!
  8. I hate it I hate it I hate it!! its never going to change. just look at the jubilee line in London. was state of the art etc but it has so many problems they've had to replace it all again. when you see how other countries run their systems it puts us to shame. if a train is more than 10mins late (due to operational fault) your journey should be free. that will teach them to buck up!
  9. looking forward to the meet (my first!) got a slight pinking problem hoping to pick some brains.
  10. nothing better than a panel filter, especially on a na.
  11. on a similar note, what really gets me going is plod cars in the middle of three lane traffic! usually going 5/10mph below the limit (nowt wrong), but then no one will pass it. instead they'll stay a car length behind. I've always driven past on the limit or needle just above without any issues, why are people so scared?
  12. nope, as the mix of pollutants (CO,HC & air/fuel that the check is for) is constant. edit: the reading will be the same regardless of how much of the fume is flowing past the sensor. (as the mix has already been made)
  13. I'd have to agree with Lewis. I actually wished drivers spoke what was on their mind (like Lewis did today, bar his black comment) instead of being pussyfooted by their PR manager. Would make interviews more interesting instead of the usual "my team did great, the race was great" or "it was unfortunate the race didn't come together, I had a slight altercation with another car but he said sorry, I said sorry and we both apologized to the stewards for making contact."
  14. glad to hear its sorted. the quickest 6 months of your life !
  15. can't recommend a jack, but don't agree with the 2tonne isn't enough thing. the aristo weighs more than the supra, but the jack wont be lifting the entire weight of the car, it'll be half the weight at max. having said that, it wouldn't hurt getting a 3tonne instead anyway.
  16. you offering? hopefully there'll be a couple (or more) aristo's coming.
  17. I've always been a 4/5 door car man. so a maserati quattroporte would be right up my street. best looking saloon car on our roads in my opinion. http://pulseautosport.com/wp-content/gallery/2009-maserati-quattroporte-sport-gt-s/2009-maserati-quattroporte-sport-gt-s-front-angle-city-1280x960.jpg
  18. if manufactures are using water cooled turbo from factory, what harm can it do? maybe he's an ex technician for a reason?
  19. Would of been amazing if it did start to hop!
  20. 1. superturbochris 2. monkpower 3. vertex
  21. Thanks for that, I'll be coming! How do I pay for this? I've just paid to become a member, will a shop link appear once my account has been activated? oooh, I've got an Aristo BPU btw!
  22. I've currently got uniroyal rain sport 2. best tyre I've ever had, beats ps2, proxes 4, zero Nero hands down. (my opinion) the real test came during a heavy down pour, I saw a puddle approaching on a dual carriage way and expected the steering to pull as I went through, but there was nothing. gripped all the way through. obviously this doesn't mean you can drive in wet weather like a fool, but its reassuring to know they are up to the job. dry performance is also impressive. 245/40/18 & 275/35/18
