  1. Put in a new crank pulley the other week so the car is back to normal again. In other news I've fitted some black grill to the top secret bumper, was tired of getting leaves and such stuck in the bumper. Also very kindly The Raven gave me his old N/A engine which has been sitting in a barn for many years now. So I begun work stripping it down yesterday and it currently looks like: Everything came off pretty quickly and easily, just need to clean off all the crap on the outside later today. So the plan with this engine is: - Clean it - Paint it - New gaskets/seals - Remove other N/A engine - Paint engine bay / clean - Remove AC system Once that is done then I will refresh the other N/A engine and just keep it as a backup or turbo it
  2. I've watched that a few times now and still can't quite figure out what is going on.
  3. Should of undercoated with a lighter color like grey first, hopefully you can get this looking good with another 3-4 coats. You will need at least 7 coats or when the time comes to strip the plastidip off, it will be very difficult (speaking from experience!) I'm waiting for the day a supra looks good in plasti dip, each one I've seen so far looks pretty poor in comparison to a wrapped supra, which is a shame as plastidip has potential.
  4. Fake chinese stuff, always gonna be hit or miss. You will probably get away with a spoiler, but I wouldn't buy anything mechanical that could backfire and be a risk to your safety
  5. Originals look better
  6. Woo another supra down our way Hopefully see this around soon, love the colour !
  7. Herbie, no one is pointing a gun to your head to purchase the kit why are you getting so irate. If your point here is that not all the potential mods are included in the extra section, then perhaps suggest it to Whifbitz to expand the extra section to include things like a clutch? Also, try and find a turbo kit sold by any of the big names like HKS that include EVERYTHING you could need. I'll save you some searching and tell you already they don't. Hopefully no one tells the OP the cost of labor to get these sort of things installed, it might push him over the edge :O
  8. Have experienced some squeals when starting up the supra and doing full lock turns over the last 1-2 months. Should of been a bit more pro-active in dealing with it but... Went for a drive tonight recording some audio from the new exhaust I put in. Was sitting in a carpark re-adjusting my microphone and did a few revs to capture the sound and a ghastly sound came from the engine bay, followed by a few warning lights. Honestly thought the engine had shat itself. Immediately turned the car off and inspected the bay. Everything looked to be in order, but found this sitting by itself in a corner of the undertray looking sorry for itself. Luckily I was only a few minutes away from home, so left the car for a few hours to cool down fully before limping it back home. It's was a bit dark, but my inspection so far hasn't shown any damage to any other components luckily. Will need to give it a better look tomorrow, but looks like it's time for a new oem one. Really happy it let go when I was sitting idle, rather than when I was giving it some. It did well for 170k miles, but I guess it had to go eventually
  9. Not sure about the problems starting in the cold. If the supra is a jpec, then it will use a map sensor rather than a maf sensor and will have a temperature sensor that you can put somewhere along the intake pipe.
  10. Quick video for you all. Well jelly I can't join in this time round. Of course right as I started putting the camera away, Pig came flying past WOT
  11. Just passed this on the way home, had a feeling it might of been heywood. If you need any RX7 bits, we might have what you need at my mates garage which is only 20 min away from ashford. Give me a shout if needed
  12. Im driving down from Gatwick around 17:00 down to Ashford area. If you can get somewhere near Gatwick then I can give you a lift no problem
  13. Are you guys heading to the Eurotunnel using the M20? If so, what time are you leaving? Gutted I can't come this time, but as I only live round the corner I think I might perch myself up on one of the bridges and record everyone flying past!
  14. new bulbs look nice, where did u get them from?
  15. Seems a little odd that a "tuner" would take over a month with an emanage?
  16. I've seen some yankee supra's run as much of 45psi (3.1bar)
  17. They care more about when your license was acquired, what caliber of car you are planning on driving and how long you've owned it for. Insurance companies don't like to assume anything. In your case, fresh license, performance orientated car that you will buy on the day will set off red flags and cost you £££ I would probably pass your practical and actually get your license before looking into this any further, unless you are planning on getting it tomorrow then no doubt time will affect your situation. That said good luck, with enough will power anything is possible.
  18. Jurgen @ JM Imports does really nice import plates.
