  1. Someone stick this guy in a RWD car and let the bets begin!
  2. Perhaps for the speed sensor, but it does still work with a faulty conversion box, fixed one recently where the speedo still worked but was chucking out 42 code stil
  3. Typically code 42 references either a faulty speed sensor (located on gearbox) or a faulty/incorrectly wired KMH->MPH conversion box (black box usually located behind speedo) There are other possibilities for code 42, but I'd check those two first. Edit: You and your friend could swap ODO's to see if the issue is still present once swapped. If it is, you are either both really unlucky and have broken ODO's or you both have an underlying issue that needs sorting (my money is on underlying issue)
  4. Do you not have to recalibrate the afr meter with clean air?
  5. Thanks for the ideas guys, think I will give vibratechnic a go
  6. The Q45 throttle body I've used recently come with a universal adapter that allows you to use your stock TPS should you wish too (albeit needing minor mods to fit). Not that I'm an automotive engineer but it seemed to work on our 2jzge that used greddy emanage blue
  7. Looks like a nice clean example, what are your plans for it
  8. Could also be a rattle from the shield on the catalytic converter
  9. Getting married at such a young age :X Congrats though man, hope it all goes well
  10. I've just got a quote from Mr T for a set of new engine mounts is roughly £210. Whilst the price isn't too dear, I wanted to know if anyone knew where to get anything cheaper. Or are the oem mounts considered to be the best (for a road car) Thanks
  11. I've already got the bumper, but if and when you do sell the skirts please let me know as I'm after a set in 040.
  12. I've got 3 2JZGE cylinder heads if thats of any interest to you

    Tyres

Tyreleader are good for delivery time and price. However I had an experience where one of the tyres never turned up, and 6 months later I still have a ticket open with their useless customer support trying to get it sorted. They have one of the worst CS teams I've ever dealt with, so please be aware of this and pray if you do use them that you have no issues
  14. Where did you get this new alternator from?
  15. Tell them to settle on anything between 1-2k. Take a maximum of £400 to get a new bumper + respray and enjoy the rest of your money
  16. Assuming that your oil gauge is not giving you incorrect readings, then yes driving around in colder temperatures will in turn make your coolant and oil systems run cooler than if it was 20 degrees outside.
  17. The next meet is on the 6th of November, the meet happens on the first friday of every month.
  18. The NA is a fun car and a good introduction to the supra platform if you haven't driven anything like it before. That said, you will get the bug to have more power at some points, and from a financial perspective starting with a TT will save you money in the long run. You should try and pop down to one of the supra meets and see if you can get a ride in an N/A and a TT.
  19. On the exhaust manifold, there are 6 nuts (3 on each side) that need to be removed. then there is another 3 bolts/nuts between the 1st and second decat that need to be removed. After this the first decat will come off, but you may find it easier to remove the second decat as well so you have more space to work with.
  20. Student maintenance loan will cover this purchase no problem!
  21. Does the afr come with a black face insert?
