  1. good luck! looks like a nightmare
  2. I had this issue some time ago, turns out the supra loom for the dimmed lights uses a switch earth, when the hid kit's are developed to work with a switched power. So just swap the polarity
  3. IACV is on the throttle body. Located just above your spark plugs. It sits next to the throttle position sensor.
  4. I'm assuming due to the W58 box he has, he probably isn't giving it a proper launch needed for a good 60ft time so he dosen't risk damaging it, which is fair enough.
  5. State a price if you are putting this in for sale section if you need advice on what to price then make a topic in general discussion
  6. If there is damage to the intake compressor wheel, shards of metal can be forced round into the head of the engine. If your oil feed/drain lines malfunction then you could have oil pressure issues which can damage the turbo but also engine if unlucky those would be my main two concerns with a cheaper turbo
  7. Bet you are chuffed with the car, but please remove those badges looks really cheap and nasty. You've got a nice stock body in black, keep people guessing what could be under the bonnet when they hear a turbo
  8. I know sideways dan was after the fronts, and im after the rears so maybe we can buy between ourselves?
  9. Pending pictures of the underside, I could be interested, cheaper to reshell then rebuild all my suspension with new. Was this a TT or NA from factory?
  10. What condition are the bushes etc in. Would this need a suspension overhaul or is it in good nick?
  11. I believe charlton on the forum has a genuine C1 veilside that's never been used.
  12. If you still have the prefacelift indicators on the wing that work then i cant see what the problem would be
  13. The prefacelifts that are in poor condition, I'm interested in can collect in a weeks time
  14. Haha thats exactly what i imagined when i read the thread title. Was it a uk spec, ive seen a black one fully stock twice in our area
  15. Nic, where can that carbring brace be found? I see one for sale at whifbitz, is that the same as you mentioned above?
  16. Does this replace the stock pillar, or do you have to mount it on top of the stock one?
  17. You can get them at toyota new
  18. Under your engine bay fuse box cap, there is a diagram which will say what fuse is what. Also, the TSRM is available here on our forum rather than that app, and it has the details about what are the minimum levels of compression in it, so I'd reference that.
  19. The exact procedure and details on what to do are outlined in the TSRM.
  20. Put down the funny cigarettes. True, the GE engine is significantly cheaper compared to GTE, but prices have been on the rise lately. Good luck finding one for £150 that isn't a complete pos Considering the condition of the GE engine in question, I would agree with J_jza80 about the £500 mark for the engine. If that £1000 includes the rad and aux parts then I could see how this might be worth near to a grand, but need a proper parts list first.
  21. To be honest, my fronts which are 8.5j +45, only need a small spacer to bring fill the stock front arches so they aren't too bad. However my rears which are 9.5+40, even with a 20mm spacer still need more till fill my arches (but I'm also running veilside wider arches) so can't comment on how far they need to go to fill stock ones.
  22. Brom, I've got JR10's and when I ordered mine they only came in +40/+45 or +15/18's, so I went with +40/45 and they don't fill my arches nicely. If I had to do it again I would shoot for +30/35 for the fronts and +25/30 for the rears, so take that into account for your JR12's. Only running Jspec's on mine, so can't comment about clearance on LS400/UK spec brakes.
