  1. watching sky news, alistair darling talking about road charges and during a motorway shot, what should be in the outside lane of the M25 but a dark grey or black supe with veilside rear wing!! long shot but a bit of fun guessing whos it is!
  2. you've had some good advice already but do three things: 1. write down everthing that happened, especially the kid waving as this just puts real doubt on their story. Do take photos of your car and be clear about where you first saw the people carrier and where you last saw it and record everything that happened in between. Take a statement from your mum. 2. Do visit your local police station and ask them about this notice of intent and record (written or otherwise) the response they give you 3. Do get some FREE advice from a Duty solicitor or other solicitor, usually the first half hour is free. Its all a lot of effort but worth it in the end. If you can show absolutely factual clarity you should be fine. good luck
  3. "delayed charge bail" basically means that they have released him pending further investigations and that the Crown Prosecution service will actually determine what the next course of action will be. Often this is because the Police have to gather further evidence to make any conviction stick and the more evidence of additional crimes the better chance the Crown Prosecution Service have of getting the offender into court with a successful conviction. If the offender has commited a number offences the level of bail may mean that he is remanded in custody pending further investigations, ie. gathering and confirming evidence ready for prosecution. Northamptonshire Police use this a lot, whether it they use to ensure firmer convictions i am not too sure, but it is likely that the tosser who nicked your car is likely to be hit harder than if he was charged by a custody sergeant for the offence he was arrested for. Lets hope I am right.

  12. dont take no for an answer, they will deny responsibility until you start to take legal proceedings. I pushed hard, took photos, and the lawyer of the council even had the balls to say I was a wreckless driver, so I scribbled some notes on the letter they sent with words such as defamation, inaccurate, misleading etc and they must have thought it was from a lawyer!! I then applied to small claims, £60 to register, and then they decided to settle out of court including costs. took a few months but the feeling was of satisfaction!!

  23. 32 psi though sometimes I load the fronts with 34 and the rears 32 based on heavy breaking techiques used in my car racing days where all the pressure and weight distribution tends to be at the front as you accelerate fast and heavy breaking before turning a corner.
  24. having kept an eye on my tyre over the last week it wasnt a slow puncture but some joker letting the air out of my tyre, no doubt a jealous corsa driver with neaon lights
