Dipped beam done, using mild steel. Need to check this now with stainless steel, then I'll be mocking up the first prototype. Needless to say, I'm really happy with progress so far. The rings on the insert are painted white. This ring actually clips on without any glue or drilling.

Because it's worth a decent amount now. If I blow it going above 700hp then it wasn't fit for purpose. It'll be fine for 600 but moving forward it's a high value box for lower powered users. An r154 is a good investment for 500hp in my opinion. However above and beyond or even a hard driver it's still a risk. Which is why everyone owning 6 speed is concerned. As transmission options are reducing. If I go BMW e46 m3 box then im covered from a reliability viewpoint. Financially Id pay more to know I'm not snooker in myself. Which I've done on my second r154 box. That mag box from the USA looks like a good swap!

I think I'm tempting towards BMW setups. I'm selling my upgraded r154 setup to go down this route next year.

If there's no breathers then no need for baffles. I'll put some sort of internal baffle near the outlet port. I'd weld whatever was asked for, regrading ports. Probably be a nice fat an fitting no doubt. I haven't designed them yet. But there are loads of concepts. Hopefully do something similar to this. OCD and PHR do gorgeous sets. I'd like to get into doing my own styles really.

Yes. You have a few mm, and even with contact, you'd not even notice.

As soon as I have my trial set for the facelift, I can compare the sizes. I believe fog light and dipped beam will be the same. Only extra will be the main beam.

I'm going 19" Luc. I don't even know what sizes of tyre's I'll be best off using on those wheel widths

Looking at various websites and suppliers for tyres and doesn't seem to be many options for wide tyres. I'm looking for 10.5J and 12J. Can anyone recommend makes and/or suppliers. I usually run more narrow setups and just have Avon or something similar as never had issues at 420hp. But with wider tyres and going more power I'd like to hear people's views.

Bump! New lips means 5-6 week lead time, sadly I won't have the wheels until it's fitment day. Could really do with getting second opinion on these being suitable fitment. Thanks!

Changing my wheels with new arches. From research a 10j +35 and 9j +40 fits on srock arch. Looking at what other people have or currently run. The new wheels are currently a 19 x 10j +28 rear and 19 x 9j +36 front. Looking at this, they would already fit. I want to extend the front arch to a 10j. So I'd need to extend the front arch by 20mm. I'd like to extend the rears to 12j, so would need to extend the arch by 43mm. Was going to aim for around 50mm so might need a minor spacer to flush the arch. Advice appreciated. Just want to check this as sadly I'm doing arches before wheels arrive. Thanks! :-)

So, finally got a jig made. Got the throttle body de assembled, going to give it a go next week regarding boring. Will be aiming for 2mm. Be interesting to see how it works out on a Dyno. Compared to boost, it's minor. But be great to just get a tiny bit more from the throttle body regarding flow, as NA owners don't have the funds for huge engine changes.
