Can anyone offer CMM services please. For those who don't know, CMM is measuring equipment to give accurate dimensional values to items using touch technology. I have them at work, but sadly the capacity it too high for me to use. Want them for measuring dimensions on a new range of engine products. Thought I'd ask before I begin emailing companies. Thanks

Begun working on dimensions for the facelift rings now. Waiting for materials to turn from for the pre-facelift. Price will be £45 plus shipping for brushed finish. Haven't priced for polished yet, it'll depend how long they take to clean up. I'm hoping the brushed steel isn't too deep and it won't take long. Obviously until I've a set in my hands won't have any idea. I will offer an install service on the ring install if people don't fancy splitting their own lights.

Or break it. I'm in for parts

Looking for main beam reflector ideally please. All bits and bobs considered.

How are the UK lights different? They just have a glass lens and chromed insert on a jspec pre facelift body. I'm missing the different in why they will fit differently mate. UK spec is prefacelift in design

Thanks pal. I've not thought of adding a ring on the pre-facelift projector. As it doesn't have a ring, I haven't considered it. However, I have a set of facelift inserts to review dimensions on. I will manufacture main beam rings, and then see how they size up on the pre-facelift inserts. It may mean they suit the insert, just don't have any material to sit on so need to be manually attached.

Foglight ring complete. Small modification on dipped beam ring for dimensional issues. These will be provided as polished. In the final stages of development now. Will be reviewing costs soon and giving some ideas on prices, installed with headlight refurb and non-fitted.

Update for what Neil? Lots of people using BMW setup. They just aren't on this forum. I've a friend who drifts using 600whp through a 330d box.

I prefer Weds. I own a set and I feel there's just something special about their designs. Cleaning them however is a right pain. Worth the effort though.

You mean if I stack up the inputs I won't be able to use fuel pressure? Yeah I've the custom loom resolved, it was included in my quote. Frank, I didn't really get any recommendations for what sensors. However, if my pump fails and he says I shouldn't usually need one, he wouldn't be liable for my engine and it would still lye with me to pay for the repair.

I was thinking Knock Sensor too. I'll update the list! I'd like ethanol, a better option to nitrous. Better hope you don't get a drop in oil pressure or fuel pump failure then mate. Personally I'd agree with you and say those two things are major benefits from monitoring with a new ECU like this. I'd rather pay an extra couple of hundred pounds for sensors overboard, because I can't afford all these upgrades then have my engine fail. If the ECU can monitor it, then I want to include it to save money in the long run.

My ECU of choice is AEM Infinity. Basic outlay; Boost control / solenoid Wideband to ECU Map sensor So, what other inputs should I consider. As these were outside my current quote. Other recommendations include; Fuel Pressure Fuel Mix (Ethanol) Oil Pressure Oil Temperature Air Intake Water Temp Exhaust Gas Temp What other sensors are recommended for someone wanting the very best from their technology? Aiming for 600hp, but will want nitrous at some point.

Don't they have video footage. It'll be insurance I believe. Aside from leaving a traffic accident I'm not sure they'd take it very serious if a car wasn't badly damaged. Report to your insurance ASAP and enquire to assistance from mac d where you visited.

Aiming for the OEM arch design, but having them at a custom width. The wheels are currently 9J / 10J. Moving upto 10.5J / 12J. They've now said they can only supply lips making the wheels 11J / 12.5J. Done some research, a 345 on the back should be okay, thoughts?

Got some new wheels guys, and even though I've placed my order the supplier is saying their supplier doesn't actually have the lips in stock. I've bought some second hand wheels, and at the same time bought some new lips to re-barrel the three piece wheel to extend them. So the final desired width was 10.5J fronts and 12J rear. I've not been told they can only supply lips which will extend the wheels to 11J and 12.5J. Is 12.5J a common width? I've worries the size is uncommon and tyres may cost more. I only ever see 12J or 13J. Some people run 11J so not too concerned, it's more the rear. I feel I'd prefer 13J than 12.5J, advice appreciated. Not worried about fitment, as I'm widening my arches anyway. Just looking for tyre size advice please.

I feel your pain. I'm just about to take all my windows out. I hope you find someone to sort it and still eligible for insurance to cover the bills because it's an issue so many people haven't had, you shouldn't be any different. Are any other nationwide companies recommended?

I think for all of us its hard to sell if we lost the love slightly and the value seems worth the sell. Mines been a hard slog to resolve my issues. Im more confident investing in a car that's holding its value. If anything with the recent price increases it's made me want to sell even less.

I hope prices go up this much. Shame that so many people are selling due to the price hikes lately.
