  1. Because I have the 2jzge. Could I then use the disconnected pipes from the throttle body? Looks to be the same locations to me.
  2. Thanks for your advice. I'll follow your guidance mate.
  3. Legend. Thanks mate! What type of lines do you use. Just normal braided?
  4. Thanks mate. Is the water neck not cool water going into the engine from the rad?
  5. Can anyone advise where I should pick up the water from and where I can feed it back into. I'm thinking to tap into the water neck that enters the engine from the top water hose. Any experience would be great please.
  6. I've seen some 3 inch sports cats. Because you reduce the flow you would need more than 1.2 bar if you wanted to maintain the same hp. Total volume of air per cycle would be changed. So you'd need to compensate with higher boost I expect. I'm going to look to put two 3 inch cats together in parallel and hope it doesn't cause me much lose in power. That'll be after I've had it mapped initially. Just to iron out any issues. I'm going to include no cat on insurance and See what they say from a claim viewpoint.
  7. This really is a great topic and thanks for everyone for putting their view across. I think deeming a car not road worthy from not having a cat is just to How they would phrase a fail. A car is typically called not road worthy if it fails an MOT. Though many of the items on it in some people's opinion would not make it unsafe compared to a passing vehicle. With the internet so easily able to provide which car a came with a cat I'm I'm sure an insurance company would love to use it against you in order to save themselves a huge pay out. Perhaps they wouldn't even care. As long as it was declared. Has anyone even thought to ask some insurance companies?
  8. Any good condition rad's around please
  9. From my viewpoint. Cost of insurance isn't the issue it's the clarification or you could say agreement from them, saying in the case of a claim they won't use the absence of a cat against you, in order to reject the claim.
  10. That's really interesting. Any chance you know who the insurance company is. I'd like to get a quote!
  11. I'm going to send the AA information to my insurance and ensure they will cover it with no cats and passing emissions. Then I just need to find a tester who also agrees. At the end of the day the important thing is making sure you're insured.
  12. It's in the front of the car dude. Not the rear. I'll use one of the brake lights with some diodes for the rear fog.

    Cam's Supra Build

Interesting. So the sidelighr stays on when you indicate? When I testes mine the sidelight made it harder to see the indicator.
  14. Good write up. Will be posting similar experience when I'm looking in next few months. Has anyone seen a reduction in insurance with a dash cam?

    Cam's Supra Build

Looks awesome now. I love the underneath looking all mint. Good job. Get the bar blasted. I took one end off so I could blast inside. One side of me slightly longer and harder to get into. Most tidy right up and paint nicely. Do you indicators flash on with your side light staying on? How does that look? I have the same heckler units. Haven't installed them yet. Was going to have my side light turn off when indicating.
  16. Hi everyone, I've tried two types of LED fog bulb now and both incorrect light distribution. Can anyone recommend some nice fog bulbs please? I bought these, and they were rubbish to be honest. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-H3-5630-SMD-10-LED-Bulbs-XENON-White-6000K-Car-Fog-Light-Lamp-12V-Quality-UK/252327539834?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 I've tried a friends set of nighteye, but you can see the led is in the wrong location as well. Tried, but to no avail. Any advice?
  17. I chuckled to myself for a little while over that bmw. I can just imagine you laughing at them.
  18. Awesome! What lcd are you using.
  19. If it pops. You'd drive to the moon and back to prevent it happening! I went with the s6.
  20. From what I've seen. Syvecs is the top of the range ecu for Supra that's commonly used. Many more expensive ones but the most commonly one I've seen people use with great success. Which is why I bought one. I'm installing soon. I think people can only advise on where they've been. I've been to whifbitz and for the second time again soon. Paul's been supportive and I think you need to take your time finding a tuner. Location shouldn't be as important as your trust. It's easy to make a costly mistake man. I can recommend whifbitz because of my experiences there mate. Hopefully I'll have more positive feedback after my next mapping in July
  21. I think you're right. I bought a T61 years ago. It's ran fine but since taken it off its clearly leaking and hasn't stood the test of time. I think the worry is catastrophic failure. I wish we could do a side by side comparisons to the 62mm cheap and expensive turbos. I expect spool to be a major difference.
  22. Love the updates. While the manifold is off. I would brace the T4 flange. I actually spun my wastegate outlet 180 and welded a vband to it as well. Makes it easier to fuss around with the wastegate. Also looks cool in the engine bay! You changed your transmission. Or stuck with the w58?
  23. Ah bugger! Wondered why someone had issues messaging me. I'll delete some now buddy!
  24. Anywhere from 280hp to 400hp. I would do your research and complete your list of BPU items then get the car dynoed. Modifications like afr gauge and boost gauge are also worth including. To ensure you aren't ruining the cars easiest parameters that contribute to your engine tune.
  25. What a the rule or thumb on compression guys? As in lowest numbers or expected numbers from stock.
