SRD - Single Turbo Precision 6466 Gen2 Upgrade - 750rwhp
Noz replied to Sheefa's topic in Supra Chat
Interior is so clean and mint. Very jealous. How do you secure the toucan -
A built bottom end is cheap on the grand scheme of things. Why risk it. The second the bottom end blows up. You would easily pay double the cost of a rebuild to resolve the issue that second. So dont take the risk. You already have doubts. Treat forging as investment upon the current expenditure on current installation of components. Not as needless funds.

You can get over pressure valves that send to the floor if bottle over pressures. You need them for drag racing requirements. I'd get one as insurance would prefer. Definitely sort insurance first. Most common place is just in front of the throttle body.

I think it's more about knowing what you're buying mate. You wouldnt buy meat without knowing how much it weighed or maybe the use by date. Well you might. Being an NA owner lol.. we do weird things. Looks good underneath.

I'd guess at 500-520hp with that turbo and compression ratio. I've seen 500hp reached with 1 bar with that exhaust housing. But that's only a guess. I had 420hp with 10psi. It's a guess. It would he worth paying for a few power runs on a dyno. People love numbers. Espcially when buying a new car. Highly recommend getting it dynoed buddy.

Is the FFIM fitted. What boost is it running. Had it on the dyno? I'd guess 12-16k. It's a nice condition car. Photos underneath would help too buddy. If it was manual. I'd say the same or less. A manual NAt is just on a time limit really. If it was an orignal auto. I'd say less. But the hybrid box is a worthy upgrade and the seats always tell a good story. so the cars in pretty good shape I'd say. Bhp depending of course.

Because this is free. When can I collect.

If you want cheap gains. Get a nitrous kit and decent controller. Best bang for buck. Ball ache filling the tank though. Many people had 100shot all day long on an NA block.

I agree with Tyson. I too, believe you are going to get many positive posts on how nice the car looks. Therefore, this evening I had a tuna and sweetcorn sandwich. Enjoy the free Sunday early evening bump, very jealous of the new owner for this car!!! GLWS -
Yeah I'm hoping mine doesnt pop at 600 if I'm honest. Pretty major if it did go. 1300 is a bargain to be fair. I think we all dream of the T56. Gone are the days I consider a v160. Dont forget the diff situation would need addressing. 700hp could eat a diff if driven hard. I'm paranoid driving hard. Which kind of ruins it sometimes. Fear of something breaking. Forged T56 and a bigger ford diff would allow me to enjoy mine down the strip.

400hp doesnt need TT gasket. Mate. I ran over that for years on stock compression. Others have too buddy. 700hp doesnt need to be forged. Few big power boys running 700+ on stock engine on GTE block. Same principles. Throw a headgasket on there and get a decent mapper. Job done! I'll be throwing on some pre spool nitrous 25-50 shot on my 600hp 1.5bar stock bottom end. Not sure itll love that at 2900rpm LOL but 700hp all boost should be fine. Nice if you can forge it though. If you've the cash!

Get the biggest exhaust system you can. I would go 4 inch with twin box to keep noise down. You could keep stock fuel lines. Loads of lists online for what youd need.
-
Amen to that. Above 450hp is more difficult. You always want more. Always.

My 603hp NAt is enjoyable driven daily lol..

Are you auto or manual. 5k-10k would be a good target with second hand parts if you cant do the work yourself. Personally. I'd advise trying to hit low 300s range with a small T3 t30 turbo. Everyone always goes over size like T61 T4 (like I did to begin with). 300bhp supra with rapid response would be so much fun NAt. Closer you get to 400bhp on a manual the less reliable the transmission will become. If you pop a w58 box you might as well have sold the car and bought a TT auto then gone BPU. As fixing a blown gearbox if you arent doing the work, will stack up. Espcially given you've already uprated the clutch and flywheel so it would be out for a second time. If you're auto 400bhp be easily safe. Many people have proven 400hp on w58 for years. Others have struggled on countless boxes. It's a gamble. If you dont have much money. I'd do all the mechanical work. Get a plug and play ecu. Upgrade all the sensors myself and get a pro to do the mapping. Minimal labour costs and maximise expenditure on equipment that way.

Thanks for the positive feedback mate! There are a few wider ones out there for sure, any wider and I would have lost the OEM shape. All body kits though from what I've seen. No one's into fabrication these days! The cost puts people off. Which is why no one's done it I suppose. As you very well know good friend! Shared my pain through the process lol.. It's good to see those arches I hand-delivered are holding up well, and the headlights! One of my favorite looking Supra's there buddy. Look's so clean. I hope mine looks that clean one day.

Yes. Only a -8 offset. Is your's metal arches, or only fiberglass? I only have 603hp. Is your's just as rubbish as mine lol
-
I'd be tempted in the head at a fair price to a fellow member:)

Thanks guys. Appreciate the feedback.

Yes. I have 13J wheels with a -8 offset. So the wheels helped as a guide reference but just Datum off the car body and ensure the lines flow the same. It's a mountain of work. Taken me quite a while to do it all. But worth the end result. Ridox actually widen their front wings the same way. Extending the natural profile. You can see the front wing extends in it's natural curve location. As it's not a perfect curve over the bonnet to the front wheel. Send me your WhatsApp and I'll private you some more photos of the build to help give you an idea. Most kits require you to cut the arch anyway. As wider wheels would contact the current rear arch location. So you save nothing trying to leave it untouched. You're better to cut that oem body and reshape it keeping it all intact. Allowing natural shape but no fibreglass. - - - Updated - - - Yes. I have 13J wheels with a -8 offset. Fibreglass will crack Grams is only 1 inch Nur is only like 2 inches I made my own metal wide body kit. 3.5 inches both sides. ZERO fibreglass.... Make your own. Only thing that looks any good in comparison (that is better than TRD) is GT300. Which is majorly square. Fibreglass on a decent rear quarter would probably devalue you car. Just cut the metal, do it professionally and to a high standard. I would say 90% of bodyshops can't do this kind of work. It needs experienced panel beaters with hand craft experience. I done the front wings also. Here's mine in rough black (wasn't final colour or setup). I even widened the rear vent location. These are actually the first photo's I've actually shared publically. As it's not finished just yet. Look's totally different now, but only letting the odd photo out publically until it's totally done.

I get my shop to even remove the bolts by hand. If you have non oem nuts and then cross thread.. imagine. Not worth the hassle If they do common cars day in day out maybe itll be okay. But better little caution than great regret.

Man was a true artist. Such a shame. He made some awesome contributions to the community with his work.

I'd hide it under the catch can and the raised section from the clutch items out of sight as best as possinle. That's how I ran mine.

Lol at the bag situation! That's ridiculous.
