  1. Pressure is equal in a given area. With the turbos both running flat out it will be like two water pipes joining. A max boost value means overall. There is something not right with that. 30 psi is above what I've ever seen possible for stock turbos (unless it's back pressure spike from throttle run off or something).
  2. Looks like its either on or off there. How big is it. Not sure I've seen the mod

    Win a 480hp Supra

Still pretty low man. For a built engine and 76mm turbo. How are those headlights getting on?
  4. https://www.7daysperformance.co.uk/product/win-480bhp-supra/ I find this really odd. A single turbo. 480hp? I wrote that then thought I better read the ad. Now I'm REALLY confused. T76 turbo. Built engine. Only 480hp? Call me sceptical but I dont understand. It even has a 'billet diff' (maybe just cover?) And runs a fuel flex sensor. I still cant get my head around the casual 480?
  5. Never had any warnings come up no. When I'm next out I'll see what difference it makes. You're over thinking it. The situations where you drive with it closed are also the same times you reduce throttle usage and desire less noise. We arent talking about drag racing with it shut dont forget. If the desire is to have the ability to reduce exhaust flow while also adjusting driving behaviour then I think it's well suited. If you want a quieter all round driving experience it's not the right choice. You can link an electronic ECV to an ecu output but let's refer back to the original request for advice which was specific events which in turn, would not see excessive driving on a closed valve. Which is counterintuitive and an unlikely combination.
  6. Not sure what you mean. My dump valve wont go off with it fully shut and power is noticeably reduced. With it shut you are turning the 4 inch into a forced surface around around gaps of the butterfly valve. It's like the power has been reduced top end by the torque improves slightly. Surprisingly. The turbo spools quicker but I cant build any power due to lack of flow through the engine. With it fully open I doubt youd notice a difference to it now. With it shut it's a big change as expected. If you want it quiet constantly even when driving a valve wont solve your issues. If it's just for late night driving or early mornings for your neighbours. Then open her up and enjoy the roar, its perfect.
  7. I can barely hear my exhaust on cruise with valve shut. Sounds loud as hell with it open. Controllable exhaust note is a very useful addition.
  8. I'd fit an exhaust control valve over a baffle. Pain in the ass getting out the car. I run a 4" valve in my mid pipe. As my 4.5" exhaust system was too loud. Reduces the volume loads. Neighbours appreciated it too. I used a manual one rather than electronic. No reason why I just didnt have an electronic variant available when I needed it that moment.
  9. Why cant you get a vvti mkiv ecu to run the head. Same non canbus issue I suppose. But I dont know I differences there are there. Ben I'd be going vvti. The response is worth the effort mate. It's an engine upgrade.
  10. Think he wants to run it in a manual buddy

    Searching the forum

It says 1957 but cant see any of your old posts. How peculiar.
  12. Cant get facelift glass headlights I'm afraid.
  13. Well done mate. This was a good update. Very methodical and to the point. Good to see it's as desired. What's the next hurdle? Apart from the RS badge
  14. Herb. The T61 usually gives around 500hp at 1 bar. Not sure what turbo you've got. You have a boost gauge or controller? I have a similar sized turbo and 1.2 bar gives me 600hp.
  15. Herbie. Try and keep all of this info to one thread. It gets tough trying to keep track. Circa 15 to 1 on full boost is lean. Google what you should be getting as a targer. Report back!
  16. Fuel pump maybe? I'm just guessing though:D
  17. Sad times. Sorry for your loss. I see some of those engines go for anywhere upto £700. It would be easier to sell the whole car of course.
  18. Buy mesh that replicates the OEM pattern
  19. It may be a fake Supra. Maybe an MR2 with a body kit.
