  1. NA cams. Anyone want them for a project. Free just arrange delivery. Going on the metal skip otherwise guys.
  2. Got ya. What's the benefit to this. Racing application so harder wearing?
  3. People have tried buying cheap versions of whifbitz stuff, and it didn't fit right. Regardless of source, whifbitz definitely has a fitment quality check on his stuff from reviews I've seen.
  4. These ever arrived. Curious if they feel like a normal seat. Or feel like a padded box. Look very cool.

    Budget NA-T!

Tidy looking bay. Mike's probably bang on the money. Looks like a tidy setup from the photo. You based in Australia

    Budget NA-T!

Very nice. Fast spooling. Not familiar with that turbo. Maybe consider disconnecting the flap in the intake manifold. Might be causing that dip in the middle range of the curve.
  8. Curious if anyone's completed an MBA. I've recently netted a position that would benefit from a qualification like this, and just wondering from someone else's experience how it impacted them. Looked at various ones and think it's probably worth me considering, some of the content in them really do look of value.
  9. Probably a bit of both. Imagine not many fibre glass processes have strict control on their variables. Such as application of resin, thickness, temperature, maybe percentage of hardener, or curing fixtures after its set following removal of the mould. Mine came rolled up like a bit of carpet lol but that wasn't the fitment issue. I had genuine radius issues where the shape wasn't good. I spent on labour six times what the bumper cost me, to make it good.
  10. I've got 2. Used to use them for drifting. Will have a look when I'm next at my unit. Not sure what they're worth. Painted black. Got tyres on. Duffers though. Certain I've got caps. Was sure I did.
  11. I ordered my bumper from meduza. Nothing bloody lined up either. I always wanted to make bodykits but didn't because of concern of fitment issues. Looks like no one else cares
  12. I doubt it'd hit anything, an NA can use a TT engine brace. However it does need to be rotated 180 degrees, meaning there's definitely a shift in the components from one side to another. But that vent looks fairly central, I think it would be okay. If you're worried about water, block it up. Cover the read of it, and use sealant. Kinda lot of hassle for a tiny vent for visual purposes. I don't think anyone would assume its a TT just from the vent. They may ask about where are the turbski's though Con's It'll never be useful for going turbo in my opinion.
  13. Imagine you have a twin pipe setup that joins again at the final exhaust box. One would just have an inline valve in, the other section, smaller pipework, a cat and a silencer, also an inline valve in. Smallerpipework would have an inline valve closed allowing full flow / noise. Main pipe closed valve, would divert flow to the smaller pipework, open inline valve on smaller pipework allow flow through the CAT. I currently just have an inline exhaust control valve 4", the engine still runs and drives with it totally closed, but its massivel;y sluggish and the backpressure won't even allow the turbo to dump, the turbo also spools rapid, I know this because it whistles like hell when closed and driving. Your proposal would solve your issue, but would still leave you vulnerable at a road side test. Probably never happen for 99% of us, I'm just trying to make mine totally legit.
  14. I have an inline exhaust control valve anyway by the way, so pushing through an opened cat bypass would be possible with a second valve added.
  15. Get a cat fitted. I plan to get a bypass valve for a car and silencer fitted. Mega expensive but friendly MOTs are only going to become harder and more difficult. Make it switchable. Save yourself the long term worry.
  16. Caught up on all the photos. Top work. Very impressive effort.
  17. What's the bhp goal again? You going to run top end cams? I'd love to get my new head done. But I've decided I'll probably just polish the vvti ge head. As I don't want anything silly hp. A billet head would be very impressive. Dual vvti!
  18. 12mm thick aluminium. That'd do the job. Driving into a pedestrian with a solid crash bar would be the same. I doubt material would make a difference. Their gonna be messed up. A 12mm chocolate bar at speed would hurt lolz. Anyway. I'd not use steel. I'd at least try and copy the oem stuff. Personally. I'd modify the current one. It's the best option if you ever drove into someone and they used a re enforced bar as cause of excessive damage. My opinion anyway. As a professional mechanical engineer, with stress analysis experience, I can give you some tips on how to maintain a good design if you let me know how you need to modify it. So it's as strong as can be, even with a section cut out. You could do some simulated analysis on it, and document it. You could pay a freelance person a small fee to run comparison simulations. Purely for legal and personal purposes. It's cheap if you know the right people. Let me know if you wanted advice. You could also include the 12mm steel plates and compare the impact dynamics etc in a force simulation of solid contact etc.
