  1. More free items. Just covers packaging materials and postage. 1.6mm. The exact same one I use on my little NA turbo setup.
  2. Truly insane anti lagging with the bung in lol. I mean, what the hell. Take it you went and picked it up after?? Do you run a tube off the exhaust for the sensor mate, how close do you have the pressure sensor to the pipework.
  3. No worries mate. I'll take a look. Sounds like a sealant issue.
  4. What was it like when you scraped out? Sikaflex is a bit too hard. I've tried using that before and not had any success. The only time I've not had an issue with pure sealant is with Diall stuff. But now a days I just replace the Butyl tape. Warming in the oven beforehand makes assembly a piece of cake.
  5. Still works fine and doesn't look corroded. Just replaced it as front end was in bits and when aiming for 600hp I got paranoid and didnt want the extra labour bill if anything had begun to leak. But it never let me down and I probably changed it for no reason. Free to good home. Can post if someone covers cost. Cap goes with it. Be a shame to throw it out.
  6. Okay cool. In that case mate send it back. If I done the seal best I check that. Got loads of butyl tape. So send whenever mate.
  7. Removing a baffle is a pain in the ass. Hopping in and out your car. No one wants to deal with that. Mufflers don't reduce sound by restricting flow. Look them up for a good explanation but they do disturb the flow therefore causing loss in turbulence, reduction in turbulence would of cause change the flow rate and capability. These aren't bypass valves. As bypass valves usually come with the bypass Y pipe. I have a single pipe with the valve inline with it. I dont have any divert boxes or any other pipe magic. Simply in line with my exhaust. I've never had an issue. I can drive through the rev range so cruising speed is well below its capability. The turbo spools but the boost is so low it feels like an NA. Its only used for low driving in built up areas and partially shut on the motorway. I agree there will be an increase in backpressure but the engine feels smooth and the valve isn't ever going to stall it. There must be a line where the engine can't run properly I'm sure. But I've had the valve for over 7 years. Never had an issue (on my 3rd engine and 5th head LOL joking of course, but triggers broom comes to mind hahahaah)
  8. Did you buy rings off me or did I do the initial set? I recall you had some rears off me at one point.
  9. Looking good man be nice to hear this.
  10. If Harry's okay to do it. Let's see if that solves it. Be a great study with a second pair of eyes on it.
  11. That must be the one I'm using then. I sourced it from UK years and years ago. I'd be surprised if the reduction in diameter for that short distance would do any reduction in flow. As a comparison for flow I get 603hp at 1.5 bar on a 62mm. On an NA engine without head upgrades. So I know its got good flow capability. Having a 4.5" exhaust may or may not make a difference. There's only so much benefit at that sort of power really.
  12. Maybe a non bias re sealing would be a good idea? As if it leaks afterwards. We know it's not me not knowing wtf I'm doing lol.

I'd put a thread up. Best thing is to find dynos online and try and adjust any variation for modifications. Such as cams adjusting rpm range slightly. Mike at srd would be who I'd ask this question too.
  14. No. There's a strong spring forcing it open. You overcome the force to close it. You can close it different stages. At idle it doesn't change the tone much. But I found on drive when closed its more responsive yet massively down on power. I think you'd struggle to WOT then lean down while still steering and force it closed to do any damage. As it wouldn't close on its own. Mild throttle is the best noise reduction. As you crawl past houses for example you can adjust the throttle to balance the lowest noise. As at idle the noise reduction seems negligible.
  15. Apexi. https://www.nengun.com/apexi/exhaust-control-valve
  16. I can recommend fitting an exhaust control valve. I have a 4inch apexi. Manual cable. Think it's one of the best modifications to the car. Installed it in the mid pipe. I have a 4inch down/midpipe and 4.5inch exhaust. Pulling it closed makes a huge amount of difference. Hardly boosts due to reduce flow. I fit it due to neighbours and also if I'm out late. Straight pipe with only a backbox. Could always use this idea as a backup if you don't like the end result on the new system. At 60mph I can hardly hear my own exhaust and I've no interior currently to deaden sound.
  17. For sure. Handling compromised for great looks. I think a 19inch with dish looks the best. As 19 spoke wheels seem to just look too big. Would love to see how the 15 inch drag wheels feel. Comfortable as hell I expect lol
  18. You say 0.84 is one step smaller than the 1.0 on the borg Warner turbo. But being different volumes surely you are comparing apples to oranges. Have you compared exducer wheel sizes to see if they are similar at all? May find the 6870 .84 exhaust housing turbine has a larger volume than the old 1.0 turbo. Though smaller ratio thus having a lower number.
  19. Looking forward to seeing how the .8 ar spools. Take it you went for 9.1 CR?
  20. I like the old school look with them, reminds me of Veilside wheels. I have 19s and they drive like shit. I expect you have decent feel with those bad boys lol
  21. I think anyone that has done it for the resale value is crazy. I suppose you're in a unique situation with your setup. As you have the R35 to hand. So its surely got to influence what you'd want this one for. I recall you said 800hp was a good power value for the Supra.
  22. Not talking about an R34 though. Talking about swapping a more valuable engine thats way off r34. For the sake of a few pennies? Take it you own a GTE with v160. v160 the world right
  23. That's an incredibly boring plan. Be better to leave it as it is and enjoy it rather than all that hassle trying to earn on GTE and v160 inflation. Could at least suggest something a little more adventurous. I'm just waiting for the update that says "I've had a crazy idea!"
